See this is what it happens calling a drama female centric makes you misogynistic, I rest my case here. No wonder dramas keep portraying characters like this , they don't come out as independent , I mean if you want independent female character go watch Kunning place, love you seven times and more ( better this one not saying tht portrays independence correctly ) and for me best part of the show is also how fL just apologises whenever she makes mistakes ( mot exactly but atleast much better than many other fake women empowerment ones)

I have tried but sometimes people are so engrossed in women empowerment they forget why it was needed in first place, it's more about trp these days , they don't realise by showing this it's actually creating negative image than showing anyone as independent lul. I mean if someone is defending her behaviour they are as delusional as people following "woke" form of feminism.

This is what you call " feminist propaganda " though, she is independent, idealistic ( if you say so lol, she was literally trying to betray him at the start), and reckless ( lol if you think almost getting your savior killed every time because you just don't want to listen is reckless than idk what to tell ya) . I mean if you defend her it's okay but please don't pull the morality and neutral view angle ( there is nothing non romantic from her pov, she literally left the house and avoided him when he just asked to protect someone at his home, romantically that makes sense non romantically oof). Also it's like you skip the parts where it's not relevant to you( which is usually okay but not when you are making a point). Please watch earlier episodes, even if she dies it won't impact him , ( mention to the previous attempts of his marriage) and heck hum getting injured by chen hua got him way more problems than if she was killed , I mean I know she is dumb ( she knows implications of wht happens if she does everything she is doing even before episodes 14 she just didnt care). And no offence ML has a personality pblm at max ( that's too is debatable since those secrets are not like misunderstandings), but she literally keeps using him whenever possible and then makes remarks like even if he didn't save me I'll be fine , just after he saved her from sure shot execution. Then when he almost dies for her she is chatting with her bf that she will.leave him and entertaining talks about nxt marriage ( heck even goes to temple for tht bs when he literally just died for you) . There are moral problems with her behaviour let alone possibility causing others to take all the implications of her decisions . I would have been fine if you said yes she was wrong but her character develops later ( that's how you learn from recklesness, not by telling everyone I am going to divorce this guy let others use this info and fuck him) but man you are defending things where any neutral person would understand what and how that was wrong.

Hence I was saying that in cdramas( again usually not always, for female centric/empowerment dramas things like this happen but they are taking even tht to extreme, because once she is smart, and next she becomes dumb and becomes a suicide bomber 😉

But then again this is what happens in a female empowerment shows, FL is treated like - "thou shall do no wrong or at least thou shall not be blamed" and ML keeps suffering more often than not

Also, I get the rationale for stabbing but if she was smart as portrayed earlier, she wouldn't pork a guy that keeps saving her (with mask in previous ordeals) rather will try to confirm what happened. Also inconsistency here is being a female centric drama doesnt mean anyone would start following you (doesnt matter if she is a consort etc.), people would still not follow you so easily as they do here, its a fedual world.

Although you tone is harsh, most of it is true so cant fight that. To be honest , only character suffering here is ML but then again this is a female centric drama, with mostly female watchers so cant expect them to not do what they are doing. This is how cdrama world works when its FL centric - "thou shall do no wrong, or atleast thou shall not be blamed".

To be more fair it's more like FL character that became weird there, dude is just trying to use her and trying to destroy ML's country but nope I will keep hanging out and saving you.This is in contrast to relationship with ML where she is like its a dream I will squeeze you bone dry xd I think from 11 -14 was the unreasonable bit then it converted into female power :D
Also dont get me wrong she is still way better than the one we have in "Melody of golden age" that one is next level shipwreck at least in last 5-8 episodes.

Well another reason, too much feminism promotion ongoing, nothing new in recent cdramas where if it's female centric than it's "thou can do no wrong". I can under stand the motive behind that since majority watchers are female but cmon atleast keep it in realistic level- its a fedual world, the woman goes afk for a month with another dude and then saves him even though he keeps trying to kill Ml ( and destroy his country) and still keeps hanging out with him,lul. People here are lashing out on supporting characters blaming fl for porking the ml , why wouldn't they lash out rather than trying to find truth you go on and pork the guy and then be like don't blame me this is dream world xd. ( Yes they were in the wrong but doesnt she realise mask guy has been helping here from before).Well only one that is suffering here is ML rest all having 😁 especially like most other female centric dramas trusting the sml more than ml syndrome:D

Still an 8+ but too much inconsistency in FL character which started out as smart , Well atleast not on the lvl of melody in golden age xd

Really hope there is some character development for FL, oof no one in their right mind would call her smart from epi 13 to 15.Its starting to become irritating, but if their is character development based ok this then I guess it will be fine in hindsight.

Right now it's not even reckless it's just straight up dumb, like fl has no idea what royal power is , why she is an imp piece bla bla. How dumb was it that after just escaping from execution, she says "what am I afraid of" and that too after taunting the guy that just saved her.

Well "are you the one" is targeted to certain audience (its bland for many others), I nvr understood how people cope with ML acting there lol. This one is more all rounded kind of show, not focusing on one string , so its not surprising tht more people will like this , nothing spectacular but a good show, hence the ratings (maybe 8.2 would have been better)

It does, but later on, not a major part of the story but like its past life misunderstanding + this life expectations etc. Overall, the show will grow on you more you watch, only bad thing is a spoiler xd

Well, we dont know if he remembers her, there has been no instance which suggests that (well he might not remember her, but we dont know now, currently from FML perspective he doesnt remember her). I am just saying he doesnt remember XU something as FML when she was child. Also, I think it was episode 10 or 11 or 12 - because it happened recently. Its the scene where XU asks the dowager to transfer the case to ML ( the moth fire one where she resurrects).

Tht is female centric drama, so no they wont show her apologizing but then again at least the next life doesn't have many mess ups and that show unlike 90% of the cdramas had a great ending

She is his childhood friend but not the one in flashbacks , there is no misunderstanding as she was the one who saved him by giving gandorma to the queen dowager, the saving that FL did was different from that.

Well you need to watch it again, there are 2 instances of saved 1 with FL (the one with flashbacks ) and other is when the Xu something gave gandorma or whatever it is called to the queen dowager and then asked her to spare the ML and give him a chance. So no one impersonated the other.

I mean not the best but definitely not as bad as ratings lol, it should be maybe like 8.2 or 8.3,.overall decent drama which was slow at times and then too fast trying to end at times.Definelty could be better with a better director

Deserves 8.5+ ( way better than "The double", which is a hormonal bs but a good show.) .Definitely could have been better, feel like maybe a better director would have maybe told this in better manner. In between got a little boring but that's how most of the Chinese dramas work with 40 episodes.So not one among the best ones but better than most of the hormonal bs that is getting higher rating these days. Had a great story (I think director made mess of few things), decent costs, good cast and decent production.Atleast d
