Just finished watching. I personally have no issue with the culprit’s stupid motive. I liked how the show’s focus was on showcasing the more psychological aspects of the two women — Yun Su’s growth from a naive woman to bravely proving her own innocence, and the completion of Mo Eun’s revenge arc (along with the humanity that still exists within her).

I thought the show was well paced and very bingeable! Surprised I ended up tearing up at episode 12

Kim Go Eun’s screen presence is too magnetic; I get sad whenever it goes back Jeon Do Yeon hah

Yeah agree. After experiencing her terrible father, I think she doesn’t want to deal with a terrible MIL who ALSO makes dumb financial decisions and can’t be shaken off due to blood relations. Girl went through enough the first time around

Ughhh I have such mixed feelings about Jun Seo. On one hand, he really shouldn’t be butting into Ah Jin’s life without her consent. On the other hand, Ah Jin is reaping what she sowed by making him promise to be next to her forever, as a kid

This show is so hard to watch with no one to root for but the acting and directing are sooooo good

Love this show but will unfortunately need to put it on hold after reading ep 7-8 spoilers. It’s too emotionally heavy for me

I’d feel a lot more empathy for Ingang had he not told Ah Jin off after she played the video of Le Na slapping her.

Ya he acting suspicious and creepy af. Also why would he seek her out after she cut him off, only then to betray her to the world. Like ????

Yep! And while both Ah Jin and Jun Seo’s mom had ulterior motives, at least Ah Jin treated him better…

While I have no problem with Ah Jin’s downfall, I hope everyone who hurt Ah Jin will also receive their appropriate karma, especially Jun Seo’s mom

His mom was likely complicit in the murder of her mom, actually tried to sell her off for money, cheated on his dad, and tries to use her illegitimate son to get money from his grandfather. She’s just as bad as Ah Jin IMO

Hopefully when Jun Seo reveals everything to “save” her, he includes why she did what she did, so society can also reflect on its shortcomings as well (and everyone who harmed her gets equally exposed), or else it’ll read to me as more of a personal takedown for not returning his affections

It’s a lot to ask for a fictional kdrama, but the drama has just been that good so far hah

She let her dad go in high school, and that took away her chance of being a law student at an extremely prestigious university.

I don’t think she wanted a round 2 of that, and I personally couldn’t come up with a solution that could put her dad away for life.

Maybe that’s why she wanted to be a law student in the first place, to figure out out to legally get rid of her dad.

There were also two scenes shot with him having a bird’s eye view on Ah Jin’s life, observing thr observers:

1/ in high school, when the female bully was eavesdropping on Ah Jin and 2ML conversation

2/ in ep 5, where he eavesdrops on Le Na’s phone call with the reporting, with Lena looking at the cop

It feels, to me, like he enjoys having control over her
