On ep 8. Why does she act like he didn't save her life? Why didn't she try to save ml when he's being attacked…
Maybe it's because she didn't intend to die with that poison in the first place. But yeah, she seemed to forget how he still saved her then on Ep9 on the bottom pit, she still questions his sincerity whether he will to return for her. Anyway, I think he's not jealous on the 'young master' thing. Just a casual remark on that. And for me, she's the one falling first and noticing the small good act he's doing for her since Ep7. But she's stoic so she tends to brush off any feelings of attachment. But yeah I don't get why he fell inlove with her because she never showed she cared for him and then his sudden confession was unexpected. lol
FL stole an item (to progress on her mission) to save her life, then the ML stole that item from her so he got her almost killed (due to failed mission), only to exchange that same item to save her. lol
I get why the mother plot was necessary at the end for us to understand what happened in the beginning but it's a bit too long. They wasted too many episodes for that instead of giving us more episodes of her "punishing" him. She became friendly to him too soon. Well aside for this flaw, I still enjoyed it.
I'm halfway on the drama and still felt like the revenge plot should have been done by Lu Zhao herself (and Xiao Jin Yu's soul should have been just there as an aid) so it will have more weight because of the betrayal and torture she had suffered. With this, it could have stirred away with the disturbing "sister-brother" relationship. I know they aren't really blood related but based on comments and reviews, some were uncomfortable with the situation.
I enjoyed the first 11 episodes without complain, but Ep12 came and Pangzi becomes annoying. Like seriously dude just stfu. After this episode, finishing it became a task because I have to listen to his nonsense blabbering. It felt like he's this annoying chatterbox beside me who keeps rambling while I am trying to immerse myself watching this drama lol.
I am one of the few lol. A very good intro (copied from KR drama Doctors) of a badass FL with a plan of revenge and then disappoints too fast. Dropped it, the reason on 27th min. Please do not give me a very strong FL at the beginning because I will be expecting more throughout the series. She's just a toothless tiger.
I like the actor and actress here but oh gosh, this is nothing but just a bully/kidnap and rescue (which I skipped most of it). I wish the scenes had focused more on the development of their relationship instead.
This would've been really nice if the hidden identity didn't drag on til the end of the drama. The story just revolves on them avoiding to reveal their secrets. There were too many chances where they could have admitted it and when she finally revealed hers, he still didn't take that chance to say it. I don't mind hidden identity but if drags til the end, it totally changes my mood of the drama to frustration. I was halfway and just got bored, skipped it to see when the identity reveal happened and its the last 20mins and I already lost interest and didn't care to watch the ending. Also when crisis really arises, I felt like the ML is just useless. I would have rated this to an easy 9/10 but because of the shit I've mentioned above, it's a 5/10. hated it.
This is one of the short v dramas that navigated palace intrigues and schemes carefully and wisely. A maid who eliminates her enemies instantly without so much drama and has no qualms in killing them. As for the romance though, i find it lacking because her only focus was to go back home and while the ML was open about his feelings, I find her too selfish and too restraint on this matter that it took away the sweet moments. And the actress' false/fake eye contact to him is not helping (I mean, when she delivers her dialogues and supposed to look at the ML's eyes endearingly, it's obvious that she isn't really looking at his eyes. She should improve her acting regarding this matter as its really makes the difference. Anyway, I enjoyed this overall.
I watched this because of the reviews and comments but I ended up skipping a lot of scenes. there's a lot of argument going back and fort with the scheming 2FL, the memory loss is fine but they added a hidden identity of every key person involved. I don't know if I watched the same drama as the comment below but too many misunderstandings and hidden identity did DRAG around 70% of the drama. Oh and the FL doesn't even know the name of the person she's marrying and the name of the grandpa that saved and 'adopted' her. Great! I think I only watched 30% of the drama and most parts were the ML and FL scenes. Having watched too many vertical dramas, this is just 5/10 because of the frustrating scenes (missing meet-up) one after another. But I'm rating it 7.5 because of the actor and actress.
Dropped it midway. The ML's effort to woo the FL is wasted with the FL being so hesitant and wouldn't fight for him. She's a badass on the first half dealing with the rival, but I just dropped it as soon as she didn't try to give ML a chance.

and I watched Yan Zi Xian's comedic side in My Uncanny destiny and glad to see this side of him again here.

Well, I think the appearance of the ExGF made them realize and admit how much they love and care for each other.
