I enjoyed this one and FL has one of the most character growth in vertical dramas I've seen. The flow of the story and every character's interaction were engaging to keep you hooked . There's no nonsense excessive chatter and bullying that are usually present in every vertical dramas I've seen so this one is refreshing.
What puts me off are the 3 male leads (ML, 2ML-adopted brother, and the emperor) who seem to have perverted fantasies. I'm glad the ML's suggested psychotic desires were brushed off immediately and the adopted brother's were not explored more so it didn't ruin the romance.
If you want to watch this, just watch first few minutes then skip to the last 12minutes. THE END. I wasted my 3.14hours for a back and forth denial of each others feelings.
So it's basically 3 hours of 2 people who love each other but deny it fiercely until the end when the ML finally…
lol yeah they reconciled at the last 12mins of a 3hour+ drama. I think both don't deserve each other. Each one couldn't even own up their feelings. ML is a jerk but FL is just as cold as him.
it's 9/10 for me. It's because the villain 2ML was still able to torture the ML til the last minute with his words while he didn't receive any torture at all and was just taken by the police. I wish the ML had allowed the fake FL to castrate him before sending him to jail.
Wow Shen Hao Nan has been constantly improving his acting. He's really getting better every time. The first time I saw his drama, his emotional scenes were a bit forced and awkward. But now, his portrayal of a lunatic seeking revenge is just astounding! So I agree, this is a MUST WATCH. I wonder if there's a best actor and best actress for mini dramas, I would have him nominated for this. As for the FL, Zhai Yi Ying usually delivers so I have nothing much to say.

It did has a lot to offer of... schemes after schemes lol. Like they gathered all sorts of schemes they can think of and squeeze it all in this mini drama one after another.
I was not satisfied with Leng Yue's ending though and I'm still torn about the reconciliation between the sisters. The sudden team up is kinda out of place. Anyway, the romance was well-done and the chemistry is lit!
I’m about a third into the drama, she went back in time but is he “aware” as well?
There are 3 arcs here. The first one, where he was cruel. The second, she was back in time/reborn and had the first arc memories, but he wasn't aware of that. The 3rd arc (ending), its for you to find out. 😉
On ep 8. Why does she act like he didn't save her life? Why didn't she try to save ml when he's being attacked…
Maybe it's because she didn't intend to die with that poison in the first place. But yeah, she seemed to forget how he still saved her then on Ep9 on the bottom pit, she still questions his sincerity whether he will to return for her. Anyway, I think he's not jealous on the 'young master' thing. Just a casual remark on that. And for me, she's the one falling first and noticing the small good act he's doing for her since Ep7. But she's stoic so she tends to brush off any feelings of attachment. But yeah I don't get why he fell inlove with her because she never showed she cared for him and then his sudden confession was unexpected. lol
FL stole an item (to progress on her mission) to save her life, then the ML stole that item from her so he got her almost killed (due to failed mission), only to exchange that same item to save her. lol
I get why the mother plot was necessary at the end for us to understand what happened in the beginning but it's a bit too long. They wasted too many episodes for that instead of giving us more episodes of her "punishing" him. She became friendly to him too soon. Well aside for this flaw, I still enjoyed it.
