Agree with the actress. She has that villain vibe. I thought the 2FL would have had a better pairing with the ML. Anyway, I came here too after DoMG lol.

FL was mostly OP in most part of the dramas where she manipulated everything to achieve her goal. Yet in episode 18, it was totally out of character for her to enter the enemies' mansion and got caught. They didn't show nor tell us what she was planning to do going in alone so to me it was a sudden dumb decision just so the ML has something to do - to save her.
Anyway, I enjoyed it so far though I would have liked to see how that deposed empress is suffering.

It was a lazy writing on Ep18.

Someone mentioned the drama is by Bilibili, so they have the rights of releasing them first but not translated. iqiyi is doing the correct translation but delayed release.

That twisted FengSi had a chance to redeem an ounce of himself. Qingchuan will never forgive him but doing the right thing at the end could have made him a bit humane. tsk!

I think the crappy translation are done via AI thus even the names are translated.

Totally agree with the Revenge of Reborn Princess. FL was badass!

But you can check the recommendation above. If you want action that does not include romance, I would chose the "I am Nobody" though it has a modern setting and no reincarnation.

The Blood of Youth is also good (I didn't finish it though), but the fighting scenes didn't revolve much on the ML. The similarity is his cold don't give a fck demeanor.

I am more than pissed with the mom now that I've learned she is also powerful. I was annoyed at first because she's just spineless in not protecting her son. But now knowing how capable she should be, I'm really pissed. She allowed herself to be trampled on. Maybe she thought that not fighting back against the other family members means they can be left alone. But that's not the case. Even the servants are abusive to them. And then her son was beaten outside. How can a mother tolerate such a thing!?

Damn! She is a powerful cultivator! Why the heck she and her son had to live like that before. If its just her to suffer, fine. But her son? just no!

I was so wrong with the King of Lingyu. I thought he was the one with nefarious plan. I was kinda rooting for him, he has that leadership charisma more than the emperor specially with that deep voice of his. Glad he remained loyal. The hints they were giving was misleading just to give a twist at the ending.
The scenes with him and the other two head master during the Academy test was so funny (around ep9). 🤣🤣

Is there a novel instead? I'm kind of more interested to read than watch the original

Wait what??? Did the mother have any spine in the novel? Here in the drama, I was wondering how she and her son survived in that mansion all their lives with the way she is. I do understand she didn't want any conflict with the mistress of the house and just live quietly (supposedly) but her allowing the servants to humiliate and trample them was too much I was pissed at her at first. And now they're giving us hints that she is actually a cultivator because she seems to always notice the changes with her sons cultivation,,,no no! I'm more that pissed lol

Came here after "Be Yourself" and I was hesitant to watch this at first but I can't believe I couldn't stop once I started. The cinematography as mentioned were not great but the story flow and pacing was good enough to get me hooked.
ML here too has that I don't give a fck attitude and nonchalance most times is just badass!

He was a soldier too. If he realized that his life was exchanged for an entire town, imagine his guilt considering he is as upright as Qingchuan.

Oh it is! I'm glad they made up the 25minutes of Ep10.
