ahahaha I feel you on this. I'm still pissed about a lot of things especially the leads..they went from badass, calculated assassin/ master of the shadows both with a clear goal, master fight skills, and now we got a mopping puppy and a housewife soon to be π€¦ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈ

Hopefully she will have an epic comeback in the times of need who knows... Also I'm anticipating trouble from Yue Qin - dude is a meddlesome s**t stirrer, otherwise I don't know what the next story ark will be. Judging from the end of ep 24 maybe a new villain is introduced? No idea here

Yes, exactly! Home boy really hurt our girl in the worst wayπ’
Aish, don't even get me started on Luo Mei....her personality legit glitched in this drama, for real! I really liked her character, the way it was introduced it gave me hope that her story will be awesome and she will be a powerful ally, but damn, your long comment regarding this is on point. The characters directions in this drama are a bit disappointing not gonna lie.....the fact that she was a powerful general, not some green girlie out of schoolroom and the CP was able to play her like that with his delulu lemonade is wild. The biggest villain in this drama is love - it has turned the heroic characters from smart and resourceful to dumb-asses unable to tell right from wrong ...lol I'm so pissed π
I'm at ep.9 and I like the leads, they're smart and resourceful, but idk, obviously they're not siblings but I'm still weirded out by this....can't imagine them as a couple. Maybe I'll come back to continue watching it when I have nothing else to watch....
This was a cute drama for its genre, especially if you don't take it very seriously and want to catch a break from angsty and serious dramas. It started to get better at episode 4, before that the FL was a bit too much, but then she grew on me π π π We have the typical rom-com with a rich CEO ML and the bubbly, career focused FL, where he fell first and harder lol. The chemistry is good and the writers were generous with skinship and kisses in this one, loved it for this. Although I'm kind of bummed a little bit of the dynamic of the leads, I mean it seemed that the ML was putting the majority of work in their relationship, while the FL was skittish and they made it look that she doesn't care enough, but on the other hand I do get it a lot actually - just because a really good guy (he's pretty much the whole package) has feelings for you and wants to be with you and is a walking green flag it doesn't mean it will go smoothly, cause if homegirl is not ready and is overwhelmed by it all, then that's that, can't really blame her. It's not that she didn't appreciate him, it's just taken her a while to be on the same page and work on her insecurities. I appreciate that the ML was not bitter and pushy about it,pretty much the perfect man hahahaha
We couldn't escape from the extra annoying 2FL with pretty much zero self respect, but at least there was no ugly, non-nonsense break-up of the leads. The second and third couple did not interest me much so I skipped their screen time π€·ββοΈ All in all a nice choice to decompress in the evening after work πΈ
Is this like provoke? That drama had no kiss scene
It has a bit of the vibe of Provoke in terms of plot tone and because it's a republican era I guess, but there are a some kisses here, not a lot (maybe 3, I'm not sure), but they're decent enough.
Re-watching this for the millionth time, cause I'm in a watching slump right now, why am I bored with all the ongoing dramas and dropping them halfway? Bruuuuh someone smack me πππ
Thank you for " dream of splendor" I binged it and a was charmed by the leads and their chemistry. The story was…
Haha yeah, BYK is so extra everything, but it was entertaining π I had fun watching it, the ML's performance was great, but I loved more his other project ''Present is Present'' - great relationship and chemistry, both leads are likeable and the plot is more interesting imo

Oh really? Interesting and indeed it offers more artistic liberty and I'm here for it lol. Recently finished the mini drama ''Be your knight'', definitely some artistic liberty going on there π Btw, if you enjoyed the chemistry and mature relationships of the leads in ''A dream of splendor'', you will enjoy the drama ''Parallel World'' - its a completely different genre, but the leads and the supporting cast are amazing, definitely recommend π

Although they overdid it a little bit with the lovesick simping ML. He was such an interesting character in the beginning lol, like I love watching love of course, but I wish it was going in another direction with the romance...the leads were very much in sync all the time and there's a thousand different ways the ML could've handled the situation, yet they went with the "I'm hurting you sooo bad to protect you, I'm handing you over to my love rival and watching you in heartbreak from afar" trope...smdh.... nevertheless, still it's a very good drama, probably amongst my favourites this year π€©
For My journey to you - open ending from what I've read in the comments.

I tried watching The legends but then I saw how many episodes plus I've read comments say it has a pretty bad ending and I stayed away from it ππ
