I love the scene when the four of them bathe together, each claiming a side. It's so cute when they all physically…
Some people say the drama suddenly showed our F4 bathing together for no reason, just for the sake of fan service. But no...the scene was not meaningless at all.

It actually revealed a lot about the relationship between the emperor and his guards, who are also almost like his friends. They are allowed to bathe beside him, joke around like young boys, and speak to him casually whenever the emperor permits it.

However, the moment he returns to “emperor mode" everyone immediately understands the boundary. They show him proper respect and return to their positions as his guards and subjects.

That scene was included to help us understand the closeness, trust and hierarchy within their relationship. I honestly do not understand why some viewers fail to look deeper into what the drama is showing and dismiss it as nothing more than fan service 🫤

“Chasing Dreams” Drama is on the list of prescheduled dramas of Tencent for August. https://weibo.com/2949989907/5326801719001185
This marketing account is quite reliable, so if the rumor is true, it will probably air sometime between late August and September.
It seems Tencent plans to air another historical drama before Chasing Dreams, I may get to watch CZY’s dramas back-to-back! 😄

The actor who plays Lord Shen here (Zhishu and Zhili's father), is the same one who played ML's father in Fated…
He finally feels relieved that his son has taken the throne...of course in another universe 😂

Fun fact, He also played CZY’s father in Our Secret too

Okay Yin Qing, the pharmacist/cosmetic supplier guy, is for sure a villain right? I mean I watched him in The…
I’m wondering about him too. I haven’t read the entire novel, only a few parts...so I have no idea what his true intentions are.

Also, if you watched some of the earlier trailers, there was a moment where his character seemed like he might completely lose control, and it felt quite creepy too.
Anyway, I don’t want to spoil myself by checking the novel, so let’s see what his real intentions are as the story unfolds.

Wait, are you saying you understand Chinese without subtitles?
Hahaha, that’s so true. I’m still wondering why it seems so difficult for the platform to find proper translators when it clearly has good commercial potential.
It’s not like the platform was only recently launched, it has been established for a long time. Yet they still don’t seem interested in improving it even though they want to compete with the other three major platforms.

Honestly, I’m fine with people expressing that they don’t like the drama if they have actually watched it. I can understand that..not every drama can meet everyone’s expectations.

But when someone hasn’t even watched a single episode and still judges everything as if they have already finished the entire drama, especially when it has only just started and hasn’t even reached the main events yet, I honestly don’t give a damn about their opinion.

Last watched Liang yong qi in the perfect match His character in the royal betrothal seems like a complete reversal…
He is a very versatile actor. I honestly think he could play almost any type of character. Many of the other cast members are also really good.

Plus, he is also in another CZY drama, Chasing Dreams 😄

I want to invite the costume designer over for coffee. I'm fascinated with the patterns they've used.
The funny thing is, while the drama was still filming, Reuters photos of the ML’s costumes came out and many Chinese or even some people in this thread said they looked bad and weird lol.

But they actually turned out quite okay in the drama, at least to me, although some of the outfits still look like they came straight out of a Versace fashion show 🤣

As a CZY fan myself, thank you so much for complimenting him. However, even though I have been his fan for a long…
At least actors in the West are allowed to look human and use natural facial expressions. They also get to act in a wider range of realistic and fantasy stories.
In C-dramas, however, storytelling is already restricted by censorship, and now the industry is also prioritizing beauty standards over acting. Many C-drama viewers seem to be interested mainly in idol romance dramas.
You can clearly see it on MDL. Realistic, well-made C-dramas often have fewer viewers and lower ratings simply because they do not focus on romance. Though, to be fair, I admit that I am also one of those people who does not watch enough C-dramas to judge and roast the entire industry.
And when I make this comparison, I am talking specifically about natural acting, acting that feels real rather than acting that looks obviously performed.
Of course, I know there are also some excellent Chinese actors in this field. Yi Yangqianxi, for example, is the real deal.
Anyway, I think this is getting a little off-topic from the drama, so I’ll stop here. 😅

" his voice resonates with authority" - Chen Zhe Yuan as Ying Gua is dubbed by Wei Yi Fan
Yep, he used his real voice in all of his modern dramas, as well as in Fated Hearts.

Yes, I’m glad they have the vision, LOL. But still...some viewers abandon genuinely good shows and only watch dramas with excessive marketing, heavy CP promotion and nonstop hype.
I would probably get a headache too if I were producing a drama😅

Even well-made dramas with strong acting can still be ignored simply because the leads are considered less attractive 😔
