On The Prosecutor's Proposal Jul 23, 2026
OK, I'm gonna be understanding and still critical. I can't help but feel that the last few minutes of the ending just showed what had been on my mind while watching it most of the time. This presented itself—in the words of many people—as a high- or even standard-quality mainstream/Netflix series, while there were such obvious fuck-ups that it just wasn't (though 90% of the time they were well hidden).

We'd all probably prefer almost any setting over the main leads standing in the middle of nowhere with some fucked-up computer-generated thing in the background, but at the same time, I can't help thinking that this is the result of everyone forcing everyone to avoid ambiguity and uncertainty by expressing everything explicitly. And because no one—or rather, most of us—doesn't even know what to do with that, they opt for a boring, explicit confession of love by the boring sea. Everything has to be dripping with romance, even if it doesn't excuse the main lead's previous behaviour at all or make anything easier for anyone; it just looks saccharine.

I think it truly was a highly above-average series, but if you want to make it exceptional, you need to:

a) Cut the AI/CGI sea thing altogether, along with the confession. Do something normal and in character for Tae.

b) No strange, idiotic moments like this: revelation – 2 minutes of nothing – then Ju Tae Seon childishly jumps to cover Chae's ears to "unhear" what was told ages ago. At some moments, Chae's overly submissive behaviour was just tiring. He's not only submissive, but also highly intelligent and observant, so... do something with it, please? We love emancipated submissives too, you know?

c) Pay more attention to the pacing at the END and the BEGGINING. If you keep it up in the middle, that's a great bonus, but yeah... well.

We are far more forgiving of poor production quality than of poor creative choices.

Aside from these complaints: good job with this one. Hope you get even better with the next three projects. Can't wait.

You can tell they rushed filming at the end, they kept mid takes and dubbed them, Chaeha overpowering Haneul on…
Was there really an informant? - i dont think so, i concluded a clear no
Also I didn’t understand, at the end, Taesung’s new proposal “go out with me”… it’s exactly what he offered two minutes ago? - the first proposal to become his asistent, the other to go out w him, the repetition was mimicking the first time Ju Tae Seon extended his hand - ep 2 around min 2 - where he asked "would you work with me" - supposedly second time, this time more clearer way than the first time, here is the same pattern.

hey sis, you know i like it, it's entertaining and it doesn't air on friday 😂
BTW, I am currently searching for a series where there is a main lead—or a strong secondary couple—where one of the characters is a servant or butler. I'm specifically looking for something that aired 2024-now and is not currently airing. If newer series come to mind, feel free to mention them as well, but I think I'm actually looking for something older.

My brain keeps trying to convince me that I've already seen a series with an important servant or butler character, but I just can't figure out which one it is.

There's also one series that I think is either Taiwanese or Chinese. I remember the poster: it looked like there was rain, an umbrella, night, garden, maison behind, one person kneeling, holding something (painting?) and the other standing over him. It gave me the impression of a servant-and-master (or butler-and-lord) type of relationship (but i thing it wasn't or not how my brain interprets the picture). - I never started or finished watching it, but I remember intending to, and now I've completely forgotten what it was. I have too many series in my "Currently Watching" list to go through them one by one.

I think this is a separate matter from the series I'm trying to remember. As an example, *Eternal Butler* is in my Currently Watching list, but I haven't seen a single episode yet. I'll probably watch it soon. However, I feel like the series I'm actually searching for is something older (even older than 2024) because another think that comes to mind and is not something i search for but affects this search is Black Butler (Kuroshitsuji). It's just a very strange feeling. TY in advance for... literally anything.🙏🙏🙏🥹

That visual helps a lot, I am just missing the blood element literally. It would be nice if their bite glowed or they had some leakage of some fluid somewhere or a sore someplace that would be like: HA! He really is!

Ah, I combined and ment both groups in that sentence, first belonged to us, second referred to characters really. One is just inside problem (inside the world), the other is for outside world and how to read that, if i am new to the genre.
Aaaaah! TYVM for telling me, I indeed missed that. Wow "Most discover it through testing, usually done in their mid-teens and most likely mandated by the Omegaverse government" is the first time i hear that abd understand it as such, I think - was that part of ABO Desire?
We absolutelly need to have that discussion. And the enigma discussion, i think (are there Enigma-Omega stories? How much more bad They ger in comparison to Alfa-Omega? :D).
Oh my, hope you sleep soundly already, wishing you proper, full and through, well deserved rest. Thank you for your explanations again.

"be trash again"? ZeeNunew series are always good bro
I actually agree with a lot of what you said. 😄

I don't think a series needs layers of symbolism or complex metaphors to be good. Entertainment is a perfectly valid goal, and if a show succeeds at engaging its audience, that's already an achievement. Likewise, I completely agree that no series—no matter how objectively well made—is going to appeal to everyone. Personal taste will always play a huge role.

Where we probably differ is in how much weight we give to awards and popularity. Awards, even jury-based ones, are definitely a sign that a production did something very well, and I don't dismiss that. At the same time, juries are still made up of people with their own preferences, and history is full of acclaimed films and shows that some viewers simply don't connect with. So for me, awards are some evidence of quality, but not definitive proof that every aspect of a series works equally well—or that every viewer, including me, will feel the same about it.

As for rankings and the general public, I don't think they "don't mean anything"—they clearly show that a series resonated with a lot of people, and that's valuable. I just don't think popularity automatically invalidates criticism, in the same way criticism doesn't invalidate the enjoyment of millions of viewers.

So I don't think we're actually that far apart. We both agree fandoms can become defensive, that people should be able to express different opinions respectfully, and that taste is subjective. My point was never "people shouldn't like the series." It was simply that someone can acknowledge its success, awards, and popularity while still having criticisms of it.

Yes, I mean—

* Increase in body temperature = illness.
* Intensification of natural scent and pheromones = I guess something comparable to a woman's cycle; that might be more species-specific, but it's still not very tangible. Right now it's a bit too vague for me to really grasp.
* A dramatic increase in sex drive = that could theoretically be caused by all sorts of things, honestly. Even good food, feeling safe and secure, or, again, a woman's cycle.

And a painful physical desire that can only be fully alleviated by another person satisfying that need—and, in the case of bonded partners, through the release of "comfort pheromones"—again, parts of it are vague, and parts of it only really exist within ABO. For someone new to the genre (or "uneducated," as you put it), I think it would be difficult to recognize that as proof.

Take unmated omegas, for example. They would feel this overwhelming craving, but they wouldn't necessarily know what they were craving. So from their perspective, there isn't really anything concrete confirming, "Oh, this is definitely heat."

I have no doubts about Nakhun, though. He's obviously from a family that's deeply rooted in all of this. Even without the obvious signs, he'd probably interpret those changes through the lens of ABO first. I can imagine that having a mate intensifies the experience—and the emotional side of it might catch him by surprise—but I don't expect him to fail to recognize the physical signs.

I hope we'll get to see their tandem rut/heat. That is going to be quite the dance. 😄

(And I *really* want to see Pat trying to ignore the rut. There is absolutely no way he'll succeed. 😂 I'll give him bonus points if he at least makes an honest attempt.)

Hey, thank you so much for the elaborate explanation! It really helped and answered most of my questions! 😊

I think what I was really fishing for was some kind of obvious physical manifestation or unmistakable sign—is that a strange thing to expect? From the way you describe it, though, it sounds more like it's something you recognize through experience rather than through one clear-cut symptom. So, in that sense, it seems perfectly normal that omegas (and alphas) wouldn't necessarily know right away what's happening.

One thing I'm still not sure I understood from either series, though: **when** do people actually find out what they are? Is it something they're born being-knowing (obviously not here, at least the knowing side), does it become apparent at a certain age, ar the regular cycles triggered by hormones at one age-point, stress, mate, genetics, or something else entirely? It almost sounds like, unless you've already gone through it a few times and learned to recognize the signs, you can't really say with 100% certainty, "This means I'm in heat," or "This is definitely rut." Am I understanding that correctly?

As for your side note—thank you for mentioning it. 😊 I honestly don't remember names very well, and most of the time I don't even remember the disagreements themselves. I don't really carry those discussions with me or take them personally.

I actually remember one particularly bizarre situation where we strongly agreed with someone in one discussion while strongly disagreeing in another - at the same time, and neither of us seemed to recognize the other, both of us keeping the friends status in meantime. To me, those were simply two separate conversations about two separate topics. Because of that—and I imagine I'm not the only person who sees it that way—I don't really have any reason to carry disagreements beyond the discussion they happened in.

So, thank you again for the olive branch. It's genuinely appreciated, and consider it happily accepted. 🍃

P.S. Any idea if that was heat in the previous episode? 👀
