song hye kyo fans are so annoying. if you don't like him just don't comment on his pages. we know nothing about what happened in their marriage except the fact they got divorced. how do we know for sure he never told her he was filing it?! there's no offiicial news about it.

would like him back in a drama as well, but i'm at least glad he's in movies now. dramas tend to get more immature fans, and he's been bashed a lot by these fans.

Is this good? I didn't watch it live as none of my faves are here but I seem to notice some people comparing it to some of my fave sageuks. I'm a fan of The Princess Man (2011 kdrama) and War of the Arrows (2011 movie). How does this compare?

This drama is based on real life events. Actually the political characters like all the kings in this drama, male lead's general father, prime ministers, are all real people and the things they did in this drama happened in real life. The two main characters are based on a legend/rumor that the evil grand prince who later became king and his rival general/minister may have had children who fell in love with each other. There is a documentary (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ue_lxcEWioU =) which discussed this rumor that may or may not be true. Video linked I just posted however has no english subtitles but you can check the comments where one comment in english explained the video.

I want her in a drama by Arthdal Chronicles writers. And maybe act with another one of my faves Moon Chae Won.

She should be applauded for River Where the Moon Rises, she was amazing in it, it's not her fault she had a crappy male lead (the first one). But I really love her and Na In Woo in it. I think it's very interesting that Na In Woo is not kpop, hence he is the So Hyun male lead I like with her a lot apart from Yeo Jin Goo and Lee Tae Ri (I consider him her male lead even though they only played childhood versions of a couple in Thorn Birds).

she has a new announced project with Park Bo Gum. He's not a fave of mine and So Hyun is still very much his senior in acting compared to him, but he's also not a rookie in which he's experimenting her as his first female lead.
Interestingly, I really like her chemistry with Na In Woo, even though his drama with her was the first time he's the male lead (and he was only a recasted male lead).

I watched this for Kim So Hyun, I like her performance. Still wish she's back in sageuk (I know she just finished River, but I'm a sageuk fanatic and I need her to have more good sageuk roles in sageuks with good quality like the dramas of Arthdal Chronicles writers). She's such an amazing actress (her roles in Moon Embracing the Sun and Missing You are a testament to that) I need her to play more complex characters.
Maybe only half my mind is in it while watching, but I wasn't very engaged with this drama. The villain guy having a crush on Doha was an unexpected surprise for me though. With the unexpected plot plus the originality of having the female lead detecting lies, I'm gonna give an 8.0

Rest in peace sir. I just finished watching Goddess of Fire a few months ago. Very sad to know he has left.

I'm currently watching episode 4, can't wait to reach that part. I felt I like Joongi's Saya than Eunseom at first.

Thank you for this unbiased review about the cast change. I really love the original actors but the new cast did very well. People should be allowed to miss the original actors but let's give the new actors a chance.
The unnecessary change I really didn't like though is the soundtrack. Season 1 soundtrack was epic.

Really weird statement, considering this is just a continuation of the first season. If the first season is unique, so is this. Please stop bashing Lee Joon Gi here, people might bash the original actor of Eunseom/Saya SJK to retaliate (which I'm honestly very tired of since people think he's not as good as LJG in sageuk when he is, though not as good in marital arts). Best to wait til this drama is finished before bashing it as completely lacking in originality as compared to season 1.

Yes. I think the reason why this was divided to seasons was Korea is no longer interested in airing mainstream dramas with 50+ episodes (number of episodes the writers of this show usually have for their others dramas).
