Ha Ji Won lack of expression?! Sorry to the commenter below but Ha Ji Won did very well in acting this drama. She's hiding her emotions in many of her scenes with Ji Chang Wook since she's showing herself as a cold woman. I can never forget the scene when she is about to cry when one of her enemies was punished but she wiped her tears because she has to show restraint and coldness. The male leads are great but this is Ha Ji Won's drama. I highly recommend people to watch Hwang Jini and Damo, especially for peeps who became fans of Ha Ji Won due to this drama. The dramas I recommended maybe old, but they are both great, they were considered amazing sageuks when they were released. Old dramas deserve as much attention as newer ones.
any dramas similar to this? with the melodrama, darkness, beautiful romance
Try Time Between Dog and Wolf for Lee Joon Gi (Do Hyun Soo actor) or Innocent Man with Moon Chae Won (Cha Ji Won actress). The thing is though both these dramas have more amnesia than this one.
Try to watch at hdtoday.tv for hd watching. Or you can download the episodes from myasiantv so you don’t have to deal with interruptions anymore (not sure if this is hd though).
I think first she needs to do more projects. She takes long break and the fact that payback didn't get much popularity…
I actually didn’t want her to appear in Taxi Driver because there’s already a different female lead for that one (the season 1 actress) and she might be caught in fanwars. And to be honest I’m not a fan of crime drama (only watch them if my faves are in them). Plus I want her new drama to focus on her as a main character. But if she chose Taxi Driver then I’ll watch it for her. But to be honest I really wanted a female centric sageuk starring her.

Gosh I agree, I really miss her specially in sageuks. My most favorite actresses seem to be not doing much this year I'm actually drifting away from kdramas now (I'm watching the kdramas I'm watching now at a slower phase and now I'm being more into British period dramas and movies now). Though I'm waiting for Arthdal Chronicles as well as Kim SO Hyun's (actress) drama. Hope Moon Chae Won's movie We Grow Up at least gets a release date.
She is choosing romance roles after TRS... Perhaps she is comfortable with this. We are not anyone to define her…
Yeah it's very difficult if someone is not an idol. That's why I'm so proud of Park Eun Bin success. She didn't get lead roles fast but look where she's now? I hope the same for Seyoung.

I feel the same about her not receiving love, plus the King the Love female lead fans bashing her (I saw some on twitter). I hope she gets the same success as Park Eun Bin (I really love all the former child actors of Kdrama they are all excellent).
King taking Deok Im as concubine, Deok Im being a court lady prior to being a concubine, Deok Im and all her children…
There is more focus on romance here compared to Yi San. Plus the queen (Yisan's wife) doesn't appear here even if she's mentioned a lot. In Yisan, we can see Yisan's Queen friendship with our main girl Deok Im/Seong Yeon (name of female lead in Yisan).
=> Jewel in the Palace --> great female lead, complex second female lead, interesting older female characters,…
https://kisskh.at/1117-damo Maybe you can try this one. It’s a very old kdrama (2003) you might not like the quality of filming. But people who had watched this find the love triangle really raw and compelling. One couple in the love triangle might be icky to some people but you’ll understand the attraction once you watch this drama. Female lead is the female lead of Empress Ki.

Yes, Princess Man was really amazing one of my top fave dramas. The lead actress there is one of my most favorite actresses Moon Chae Won, she recently did Flower of Evil. You might want to try Flower of Evil, it’s not a sageuk but I find the romance as good as The Princess’s Man. Maybe you can try Moon Lovers (I like it because of the male lead but didn’t love it much because it’s approach seems to be very kpoppish due to the idol actors hired whose acting I didn’t like, but maybe you’ll love it). Many people love this drama and can’t forget the romance in this to the point they demand season 2 so maybe you can try it (male lead was also in Iljimae and Flower of Evil).
