Sageuk Lover

Somehow, I want him to play King Sejong role again (really love his Tree with Deep Roots appearance), I just want at least one serious sageuk role of him to be as well loved as his recent modern dramas. Maybe if there's a King Sejong biopic movie from his younger years to his death to be released on Hangul day, they can cast him (they'll get him since they need someone old enough to play old King Sejong but young enough to play young King Sejong). Preferably non-romance (he can have a wife in the drama for sure).

If I were to choose a new costar (someone he has never acted before) for him in a new drama or movie , I want to see him with Ha Ji Won, Son Ye Jin, or Han Ji Min. It's interesting that he hasn't acted with a top actress close to his age (less than 5 years age gap from him) except for a very few.

She is really great in Arthdal Chronicles, I was kinda sad she left (though I like her replacement too), but i hope she gets great future projects.

Did they air episode 8 this tuesday (seeing from countdown it's already for episode 9)? I thought they'll just air episode 7 and air episode 8 next week since the airing for yesterday was postponed?

I'm assuming base on you comment you haven't seen Innocent Man and Arthdal Chronicles, I really suggest you check both out. SJK is amazing in both shows, I personally think he is better in these two shows than the more popular DOTS and Vincenzo (though he's great in the two latter shows as wel)l.

Innocent Man (both main and second female), Werewolf Boy, Arthdal Chronicles, Space Sweepers his female leads in these works are all great. DOTS and Vincenzo female leads are also good actresses (though their acting are not exactly my type).

What the heck! I didn't realize kid Joong Ki was the same kid playing Han Byul in Criminal Minds and young Eugene Choi is Mr. Sunshine. He's grown so much he's so talented (he was still a small n in the other two dramas I've seen him but he's a teenager now) ! I only recognized the kid playing his brother (he was in Flower of Evil and King's Affection) before. Didn't realize the eldest grandson (young version) was also one of the princes in Queen's Umbrella.

I really don't understand why Queen Dowager is hating her grandsons. I know it's because of power but her son is already king and no matter who becomes the crown prince, they're all her grandsons. I agree with one comment below, she should just enjoy her old age. I can't believe her love for her grandsons is based on his skills plus who his mother is.

I just finished episode 2 and am currently on 3. i understood the story better now compared to the first episode. the child actor was excellent

Watching episode 2 and I agree with everyone that the child actor was phenomenal. First time seeing him. I think the young actor playing his brother is whom I've seen in more dramas.

ah okay, makes sense. so the present times in our drama is supposed to be 2017
