Press conference of Flower of Evil kdrama: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z-LH80Z3Rds What you'll get here: => explanation of Flower of Evil title => casts showing their admiration and respect to each other. => casts explaining a bit of their characters without the spoilers => what kind of drama will Flower of Evil be (and hence what should people expect from the show)
One thing I don't understand it's why is the drama name Flower of Evil since I don't remember any flower symbolism…
In the press con, the director explained that all humans has the seed of evil in them and that anyone can be a good or evil person. Just as different seeds grow different kinds of flowers, a person's can become a good or an evil person (depends on his choices, influenced by the people he meets).
"The MDL Top 20 Dramas are all relatively new dramas in the past few years? Only 1 drama is aired before 2015: "1 Litre no Namida (2005)" ranked #16 at 9.0 Recent and new dramas are generally getting higher average ratings? (Due to word limit, MDL numbers are included in comments)" => yeah I really noticed this, many older dramas dont get as high ratings.
Han Ji Min? Who the heck would put her in overrated list? It's not like she has the biggest fandom ever. Edit: I voted the big name idol actresses on the list because they will always get the high budgeted kdramas just because they have one famous drama, a non-idol actress (especially someone not hallyu since the 2000s) will not get the privilege they have unless they started big in the movie scene.
There's just no chance my ultimate fave historical dramas will win here (most of them aired before 2016 -> the year more people discovered kdramas), so I will vote my favorite kdrama highest on this list => Flower of Evil
He became the king right does that mean FL became the queen or not?
they weren't married in the end, but since the story is finished and people didn't seem to have a problem in the end with them being together, it should be understood that she'll soon marry him and will become queen. the crown prince the male lead was based on in real life never became king though since he died before becoming one. he was able to marry and have a child though. the historical woman the second female lead was based on was the mother of his child. female lead in this drama and the other two main guys are fictional characters.
I'm quite sad it's more of a comedy than an epic melo sageuk, but since the cast is really good, I will still watch. I feel like this will be a very entertaining drama.
The female lead died however the ending shows them reunited in a dream after death of male lead in the end. The female lead also came in a dream to the male lead sometime after her death. The hit sageuk Red Sleeve last year has the same lead characters as this one.
She's great in Jang Ok Jung Live in Love and i remember liking her in Stairway to Heaven as well (it's been too long since I watched the katter drama though).
Drama isn't perfect but the actors here really nailed. I expected it with Yoo Ah In (Sungkyunkwan Scandal, Six Flying Dragons, The Throne) and Hong Soo Hyun (The Princess's Man) who are both good sageuk actors. Biggest surprise is Kim Tae Hee, she was fantastic as Jang Ok Jung.
deserves the attion attorney woo is getting, the characters, the romance were far better written and developed,…
I think this was quite popular when it aired in Korea but understandably Kdramas at that time were not as popular as today. This show was even remade in the US (first kdrama to get US remake) and Japan
