Well he is in love so his lens are biased :) and it is ok, his suffering shows how invested he is and I think JI saw it and he DID gain lots of points for his deep interest and not acting stupid bc of it. He acted subtly and never caused problems. DY is da man :) a serious candidate. A real gem. I think JI is smart enough to value his worth.
AI subtitles are **** awful **** inaccurate, do not translate whisper, phone calls, phone messages, etc.. How can a widely used language like Korean has such lousy AI translation???

GC and JI were never in love at the same time... is always ONE of them in love adn the other faking it, or ONE of them in love and the other hating the idea, OR both of them feeling intense hatred and anger towards each other.
I think JI and GC relationship is of a perpetrator who faked love and a naive victim who was gaslighted to be in love and then wisened up. Their relationship is like that movie "Gas Light", same plot just different setting - sweettalker swindler faking love to get to the victim, naive weak victimized partner "in love", abuse, and the victim getting strong and kicking the swindler out. In phase 1, GC is like a fox who found an ugly duckling and sweettlaked it into following him, and he started taking the duckling to a dark isolated corner to eat it and the duckling willingly and eagerly followed him.
In phase 2, GC is like a fox who started biting into the duckling and the duckling first was confused, then ran away, hid and recovered from injuries and then fought back.
In phase 3, GC is like a fox feeling remorse for his actions, but too late, the duckling became a BIG swan and can bite and beat up the fox, and can fly to the other side of the lake, and also has allies.
So now we see hungry remorseful fox dying from disease and starvation.... before the swan has a chance to cause that.
That was a good karma for the swan, to stay out of creating bad karma for itself :) God took care to punish the fox and leave the swan unpolluted

They are the core essence of a family, an example of a STAPLE family that raises children and contributes to society, a family that organizes school picnics and soccer matches and hood cleanup and parent and neighbor conferences and gives cookies to all neighbors... The are THAT kind of a couple but in a lot more romantic form I am sure they will be going on moonlight walks a lot .... . The are truly romantic life partners.
