I think the contrast is most visible in Beyond the Bar, where a mature ML FL couple subtly goes deeper and deeper into a true partnership on all levels, and she does help him to overcome his grief and closed heart from his divorce but in a way that is true partnership rather than nursing him - and he also helps her to grow and transform - they are a great couple!!! in contrast with the immature 2ML who grabs his immature 2FL by hand and pins her to the wall to confess.

And, only a very immature woman would consent to sex bc she feels sorry for the guy suffering.... Common that is such gaslighting... But immature women like "complicated hot guys" and are attracted to them like flies to poop

The trope teaches women to be the "nurses" of wounded men so the men dont self reflect and dont do their own inner work and never get the skills for it. But ppl rated that drama so high... !?!

BUT... truly capable men DO their own inner work. One example is Tae Ha in "Discovery of Love", or 2ML in "My Sweet Mobster", or Do Yoon in the current daily "Queen's House" or the Detective in current "My Troublesome Star" - and many others. THe most hillarious one was the arrogant Imugi in human body from the Haunted Palace and also the exemplary King from that drama.
