China has a ban on time travel themes, so it had to be transmigration to sell to that market, based on the Daoist…
Why would China ban time travel themes? Doesnt make sense.... ? fyi there are good endings each way... Good Doctor FL ended up living with him in Josean era.... My Queen FL ended up importing ML into modern times... THe Great Eternal Monarch couple ended up meeting on weekends in different time periods LOL the yuppie couple LOL Marriage Contract of Ms Park also had a great ending, she successfully picked the right time zone guy.... First Night with the Duke also ended up well, FL switched places with her double and moved to ML era... and so on. THere are many good arrangements with time travel :)
no time to write bug comment but felt like sharing, i dunno if it is because I watched too many dramas, but this…
In this drama, the food is one of the lead characters and takes a LOT of screen time, so there is not much time left for the actual story and character development, and there are just plenty events and competitions but not deep inner work. The show is light and hilarious bc FL is so comical and ML bounces her humor very well so far.... The story really is about very deep stuff, how he will reconcile his personal tragedy and not take it on the whole country, .... but the angle to approach it is comical and rowdy So ... watch it as a fun thing and dont expect too much. Just watch and I think something will appear :)
If you want something more deep and more obviously meaningful and familiar yet really fun, I recommend My Troublesome Star curently airing
I just don’t want a sad ending . as like “Moon lovers “ 😞😞
It wont be. Moon Lovers was .... as we say... as limp as poop in south wind.... a really soapy melodrama without any humor or lightness. This one is very light and bouncy and vibrant, thanks to hilarious comedy of FL and ML bouncing it off
Please where is that scene? Please describe it or say which ep or time. I think this kdrama has amazing camerawork and so many beautiful unusual scenes
just finished the 4 episodes. i can see many ppl getting hooked to this, yet for some reason it felt a bit underwhelming…
She had him on the leash so he had to tolerate her LOL Later he decided to benefit from her cooking. She reminds him of his mom. But really she is the only person who FULLY understands him, she understands his sense of taste, they are two cats of the same kind, so of course they will gravitate to each other. This reminds me of Beyond the Bar, where two lawyers get drawn to each other, and she tames him by neutrally asking him personal questions and allowing him to answer in a safe space. She "gets to him" by what he knows - safety in being able to defend himself by words.
This one got him by her cooking.... and also by telling him the TRUTH. She figured him out real fast. She is actually a great friend to him.
And ... since she is on his side... he wants to have her in every way. That's typical...
Yoona is doing great job carrying this drama on her back. Watching behind the scenes videos I don’t think they…
imo her main contribution is hilarious humor from 21st century, her thinking. speech and action, her attitude... she is HILARIOUS luckily ML has a great sense of humor too and he matches her humor so the two of them are a great pair, the whole drama is lighter bc he is bouncing off her hilariousness. He is really a perfect actor for this role
I've been reading a lot of comments about the time travel concept in this drama and theories of a time loop, so…
Time does not exist as all time happens all at once :) and yet there is illusion of time and time progression in our "dimension". The universe is full of different realities all going on at the same time, like many radio stations emitting at the same time. But you and I are tuned into the "radio station" dimension called "Earthly life" so that is all we receive - we never receive the info from other radio stations, we are not tuned in to them. UNLESS we are :) and/or there is a glitch and there is a cross over :) And even for this "one radio station" we are tuned in, some people receive more and some less.... So ... increase your awareness and sensory perception so answers will come to you if you ask but what what you are asking, first ask for permission :)
Didnt GC’s mother not like or resent (was jealous of) JI’s mother?Or is understanding a separate category?
Unfortunately you are right ..... GC is on th screen a lot more than DY and that is a terrible terrible loss for us the audience... I hope they make it up in the last episodes... ?
imo yes, somewhat - like at the end of cooking competition, he INSISTS to uphold the rules and chop off arms of…
In case that you just are not very smart and sharp and fast to understand things, let me explain again: you watch the drama and decide for yourself. There is one scene which to me look like violation of personal space, and to others, looks like a lover in hot pursuit. WATCH IT AND DECIDE WHAT YOU THINK. Dont be lazy to ask others.
PS - i will not communicate with you anymore bc you lack ability to discuss bc you lack willingness and perhaps even ability to READ FIRST WHAT THE OTHER PERSON SAID AND THEN TRY TO UNDERSTAND. If you keep repeating the same thing you said from the start and you keep misquoting me, that means you are not discussing with me, you are talking to yourself.... So.... bye!
imo yes, somewhat - like at the end of cooking competition, he INSISTS to uphold the rules and chop off arms of…
And please stop misquoting my posts. It is disrespectful to me to keep misquoting me and never reading what I wrote. You need to turn on your eyes and your brain and READ. Or else I will just block you, as someone not worth the effort to try to discuss anything.
imo yes, somewhat - like at the end of cooking competition, he INSISTS to uphold the rules and chop off arms of…
Ok honey pie - DO YOU READ? I dont think so. Read again what I wrote. To me, grabbing someone by hand and not leaving them option to bail out, esp if having power over the person being grabbed, is essentially raping them, no matter how much you flirted before. BUT those scenes are common in kdramas and in this case, they flirted and she liked him but still - there was no discussion about it as he left no space for her consent - so to me, that is essentially rape, to most of the audience here, it is a hot sexy scene, like from Mr. Queen, etc. The truth is probably somewhere in the middle and we will know in the next episode how happy she is and then we will know what it was. - so YOU WATCH THAT SCENE AND DECIDE WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED
Imo Park Sung Hoon looks and style are worse for the role bc he has a very delicate face and more delicate body…
YES!!! I just researched PSH and he is the actor from the Glory - his more suave and slimey villain style does not fit here. It would not match Yoona's comedy The current actor is comical and rowdy and that works so well, Yoona sets the hilarious comedy and he bounces it off, so the whole drama is so comical and even the tyrant serial killer stuff of the king is looked under a lighter eye ... so it is never heavy
imo yes, somewhat - like at the end of cooking competition, he INSISTS to uphold the rules and chop off arms of…
I never said that THAT scene is funny. Please reread.
And I am sure you already saw so many times those scenes of grabbing by the hand. Many kdramas and cdramas promote that "grabbing by the hand", it is considered a hot sexy move and that is the sexism of the society. So this is in many other kdramas. The glitch here is that the grabber has power over the grabbed, so the grabbed is kinda cornered into submission, and/or if the grabbing is for the first time, like in this drama. Stil, audience tolerates it.... Mr Queen also has a scene of the King grabbing Mr Queen for the first time and you dont associate that drama with violence, do you? Bc they already had an attraction going. Just like in this drama, kind of. They liked each other and kept flirting. But we think that the King grabbing the clown is violence in the drama The King and The Clown bc the clown already was paired up and the king kicked out his partner, so the clown is very unhappy, the king is keeping him captive, i.e. tortuning him
So you have to understand the cultural context and have some finesse about what is ok and what is not ok. I personally think that someone who has power over me grabbing me is essentially rape, and I do not tolerate any grabbing even if we are a lovey dovey pair. First ask for permission, then grab, is my motto. If someone just grabbed me by the hand without any warning, I would feel violated and then I would self defend. I expect the other person to call me in by more gentle ways and in voluntary participation. They got eyes and voice and they can OPEN THEIR MOUTH TO ASK, or look at me, or somehow COMMUNICATE. I think that is right. Esp for the first time when you have to negotiate the medical aspects like condoms and STDs. But - different people have different ideas and communicate in different ways, and some think that grabbing the other by hand is cool, .
You clearly already made your opinion and misquoted what I wrote. If you want to discuss, then please reread. If you dont, then we have nothing to talk about if you are not going to listen to what I have to say and this is not a discussion anymore. I do not want to be used as your excuse to ditch this drama. I am giving you my honest opinion and YOU HAVE TO WATCH TO DECIDE FOR YOURSELF.
She is a villain from Moon Lovers
