Alternative views on love
ML and FL get into love just like arranged marriages did int he past.. they get together for the convenience and then find out they like each otherBUT I DO NOT REMEMBER ANYTHING FROM THIS KDRAMA unless I really try, telling me it was shallow
I remember while watching it that ML and FL are very shallow characters who do not communicate, they are landlord and tenant and get to sleep on top of it.
No character growth here....
and the ending, them deciding to not visit their parents, is HORRIFYING egotism
So overall, this kdrama is about 2 very egoistical people and thus not really fun

All over the place mess
The story just did not flow...the acting was not right... often overdone and forced... ... FL actress just is not good and the script is not in her favor and makes her really dumb
So the plot is not great and then it is acted 'down" to make it even worse
The basic idea is good - how to pick a good love partner? - but then it is not developed properly

Cute, warm, educational
I cannot say that I remember too much from this drama, as it was often quite shallow,but the main premise of karma and love towards all beings, including dogs, was touching. Especially knowing that dogs are eaten in Asia.
There is no space for dogs in Asia though :) Asia is totally overpopulated... perhaps only a miniature house dog is ok...

Fluffy
I do not remember much from this kdrama, which tells me it was quite shallow.I remember thinking that the ML actor looked like a frog from too much plastic surgery.
I remember that FL role was obnoxiously DUMB
and yeah now I remember the villain, the drama prejudicialy used his slanted eyes to make him look scary and portray a villain...
then... the dude changed a haircut and the camera took his face from a different angle, and he is a very handsome dude...

It was a rather fun watch back then but I do not remember anything
One ML actor acts two opposite roles ah so well!!!!I was not impressed by the FL actress... she was ... flat and boring. One dimensional. Speaks too slowly and surly.
And I do not remember anything - plot, characters, etc from this kdrama!!! unless I really really try.... So it tells me it was shallow and acting wasnt genuine

An inspiring story of compassion
I was impressed with what Mother did for the abused child.What they went through while on the run is undescribable. That woman and that kid really stuck together to heal themselves and the child.
her mother was suuuuper creepy ... and it was good she helped
BUT once they got caught and the kid went to an orphanage, the Mother was going to forget her and leave her there!!!!! bc that was easier.
Luckily the kid somehow took the initiative and they reunited. BUT IF THE KID HAD NOT TAKE ACTION, THE MOTHER WOULD HAVE ABANDONED THE KID ***AGAIN*** and ruined her life for good
humans are so frail and fickle and SELFISH, arent we? Scary....

Fun drama
The main star of this drama is the movie star whom ML protects. That dude introduced the twists and surprises.First we think he is a spoiled brat star, and he IS, then he turns out super common sense friendly and LOYAL dude - sometimes too friendly... Ppl accused this of BL drama but it is just bromance drama. THe NIS agent saved his life, increased his ratings, etc so he genuinely felt appreciative and close.
The NIS agent is ... well.. nothing in comparison. I dont even remember him LOL The FL as well lol

Hype drama
I watched this bc it was popular but I did NOT enjoy watching it. I wanted to find out WHY it was popular.Most episodes were just ... frustrating bc the FL was super closed off and also quite mean and very egoistical and mental.... she did not follow her heart much and she did not THINK before she took actions...
So my payoff came late in the drama, when I learned of FL past. and then I connected the dots, how trauma in childhood, esp parental abuse and/or neglect influences people..... It is a miracle that FL was alive and functional... some other kid would have collapsed, like the villain did..
So my payout was watching the villain being caught in that field at the end and realizing how his difficult life and criminal mother shaped him to be a villain - and he didnt escape since he had no resources and supporters to guide him...
and how the FL was so lucky to survive HER mother's abuse and to stay somewhat funcitonal adult because she kept latching onto allies and she kept herself busy in productive ways...

Rather violent main plot idea. MASTERFUL AMAZING villains
FL is a pushy dame all set on revenge and her character to me is ... bitter and unappealing. I didnt enjoy watching her.The main villain is female and that is the best bully villain I have ever seen in movies, her line "I did not do anything to you! your life was already destroyed and harmful" - the calousness of a heartless psychopath...
The other villains wernt bad either, and her husband too.
The boyfriend of FL was ... cheesy. Offering to help her revenge ... is ... BAD.
And the ending, two of them going to revenge his stuff.. is also .. bad
I think the idea of killing and destroying the bad guys in revenge is a bad idea.... So I dislike this kdrama. It went to far to make a bombastic shocking drama.
I dont think "true" revenge looks like this kdrama. There are better revenges that dont kill or harm... and dont waste your life to revenge yourself.
I think the best revenge is Jesus Christ style. He did not waste his energy to diss his opponents. He invested all his energy to rise and shine and become a global superstar. The end.
So I think it would have been a better revenge for FL to become HAPPY and perhaps even rich and totally leave the bullies in the dust
but then there is no Netflix drama LOL

Mighty group of future acting stars
I remember this kdrama because of the ML actor, who was so spunky in this kdrama. I saw him before in other kdramas where he was very reserved and quietand in this kdrama he acts a prince in love, so his acting in love was very convincing. Walking near his lady and having fun. I remember that.
FL was pathetically bad actress. I saw her again in "Again my Life" where she acts 21st century corporate CEO and the faces she had there and in this kdrama are THE SAME and do not match the Joseon role AT ALL... she cannot act. Sad.
Another young star is 2nd male lead bc he had to act transforming from a very naive boy in love to a very nasty villain ready to do anything to get what he wants, and then backtracking from that.
I AM GLAD I WROTE REVIEWS OF SO MANY KDRAMAS I WATCHED IN THE PAST BC I SEE THE PATTERN, I SEE WHAT I TEND TO REMEMBER - acting with passion and genuine focus and attention, making it "real"

Basically a cartoon. The acting is not "for real" as nobody gets hurt after heavy violence
The main hillarious thing in this kdrama is that the ML is a very serious bookworm and a good kid... and he is in environments where good students are rarity and everyone gets beaten.. The hillarious part is how his friends are versus the entire school... And the brutal reality is that his friends are so frail and so incompetent - the girl with the hair bow is a prime example..The brutal reality is that the society and most parents threw their kids under the bus and are NOT helping to make school more safe...
The brutal reality of social norms today is that NOBODY NOBODY NOBODY could protect school kids from bullies - because nobody wants to protect kids from bullies!!!!! ADULTS, LAW ENFORCEMENT, ... they all just look the other way.
So yeah the BASIC PREMISE of this kdrama is a grave societal issue...
The most of the content of this kdrama is just menanigess fights.
AND MAGICALLY, they all get up and are just fine, although 1 minute ago they had blood all over their face and body, fallen knees, were kicked in the ribs, head, torso, etc.
The message is WE DONT FIGHT but also the message is YOU MUST FIGHT TO SELF DEFEND
and the fighting is glorified. The audience wants to see blood and broken bones and then pooof! magically.. NONE of the beaten ppl have any consequences. wow bologney. Possible only in cartoons

Quite Commercial and Overdone
Lee Min Ho acted great as usualFL was sooo cold and "one dimensional", it was bad
The script is flashy and they must have spent TONS of money but I do not remember much if at all from it... it tells you how shallow it was

Really fun time travel
I loved Lee Min Ho in this role...The FL role was ... well .. annoying ... she was the classic stupid woman from kdramas... making rash mistakes that forced him to save her and risk his life... .. .
I love this drama for creativity. Lee Min Ho arriving to 21st century was sooo hillarious...... his willingness to try to help his Queen...
then Doctor's willingness to follow him
Changing karma and changing the future by one's action (saving a general from appenditis)
then traveling between "zones" was also memorable

This is my first drama before I knew what kdramas was. I binge watched it, mesmerized
I watched this before I knew that kdramas existed... So I was not hooked up yet, but this drama made me a fan of kdramas and that is how I remembered to look for other kdramas when the COVID stay-at-home chaos started.Back then I had no idea kdramas exist, I just found pieces of this kdrama on social media =
and then I watched all episodes, mesmerized.
THAT WAS THE FIRST TIME EVER I STAYED UP ALL NIGHT LONG TO WATCH TV
so yeah you can safely conclude that this drama is interesting and captivating

Classic Masterpice!!! amazing comedy and social commentary
Hillarious from A to Z. Just amazing.The ML is that actor with a lisp from that major soapy famous drama... the house on the ocean... what was it? one rare kdrama that ends badly...
and FL was Empress Ki. Wow she got a nice body.
And a great social commentary... LOL Priest candidate who was so dedicated, quit bc of a very good looking female body :) and priest candidate who went clubbing at night, got confirmed as a priest
