oh i forgot to add that he’s very smart too! you can see in the variety show 10 days. apparently he was in a very competitive school during his high school days in Beijing and he had graduated top 3 or top five of his year or something (according to netizens) and apparently he was selected to join math olympics as well.

I’ve started watching it the past couple of days. so basically 6 different songwriters show a song they’ve written, to 9 singers (in the first season)/, 10 singers (in the second season, only up to episode 2 as of now)
then they would have time to negotiate with the songwriters that they would be the best person to perform that song.
they also have a buzzer that you can press a couple of minutes before time ends and if you become the first person to press the corresponding songwriter’s number, you get a chance to sing their song.

so sometimes 2 people can sing 1 songwriter’s song and usually they can make different versions of the song (there was one where an actor did a rock version and zhou shen did a more gentle version, so it became vastly different). some people do duets or group songs (in season 2 there was a group performance of 7 people including LiuYuning and ouyang nana).

that means for one episode, a singer can either not get any song at all, get 1 song or get 2 songs.

since HMH did 2 recordings on the 5th, according to the schedule he should be appearing on episode 9 & 10. the air date is december 19 and 26. he will perform on stage on the 26th of November. I’m hoping he can get minimum 2 songs!!! but i won’t mind at all if he gets 4 songs and can squeeze enough time to practice!! hoping he can get one ballad and one upbeat song where he can sing and dance!! I can’t wait!!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻
ohh and there was one time when a singer (Joker Xue) submitted a song they wrote. so it doesn’t rule out that possibility as well.

because he’s a hexagonal warrior! he’s great at acting, he has great personality very kind, great at singing, great at dancing (ex SM trainee), hardworking dedicated and good looking!!
when you follow his journey you’ll realize it’s not a sudden hype but he has been slowly building his way to the top, and his fans have been loyally giving him flowers in mdl as well.
he’s one of those people when you see him successful, you’ll just smile and say, “yeah, he deserved it”

it depends on the genre you like to watch. HMH’s dramas are different genres and themes, the more you watch, the more you realise that all his characters are different!! you’ll realize how great of an actor he truly is!! I didn’t have anyone recommending, i just tried watching everything, and personally I find that sometimes his old work may have flaws in script, cinematography or direction (because it is old style released years ago) but his characterizations have always been solid!

i also get my news from chinese social media so i’m not too sure but sometimes they disclose a budget rating, LITC in particular was apparently an A-rank budget drama but its performance hit S+ rank. industry insiders dubbed this as a “black horse” because while they’re experiencing a drought, it’s doing very well, exceeding expectations and brought people back in the genre.
yess tho I agree that even this looks expensive with all the beautiful clothes and cg effects!!

i personally think all HMH dramas are good, so it only depends on the genre you like. themes of Love & trauma healing would be BFTB, and a little more towards supernatural action would be FoF. but if you want to see him being a sunny character i suggest DY. high school modern drama WWWY. if you get past that you’d probably want to watch everything else he did.

not surprised because some people came and rated it 1, some hate campaign against this show because some people are jealous (it’s considered a slightly lower budget drama that is overperforming other ones). but it ends up with a high score due to all the good ratings that casual viewers give.

he dubs it himself. he’s a very good singer, so he also tries to craft each voice unique to each character he portrays

i can’t wait to watch the VS!! hoping the recording will go smoothly today, hoping people will be nice to him and hoping he gets two songs!! minimummmm! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

the ones who cause trouble is usually the new dp and new fans. those who has been following him for a long time knows how to treat him nicely and respectfully. i saw the video of him pulling his bodyguard, kinda like implying “let it go, no need to inflate this matter” while he was so sleepy.. such an emotionally stable man!!!

yes it makes him look vastly different! but we can judge whether it suits his character or not later when it airs

oh but that’s a modern drama! i think the styling was fine there, most girlbosses dress to look older to be taken more “seriously” so i thought it looks fine. I understand your point tho, i feel like she’s stuck in that young girl trope and pity her for it, but she’s nailing it so i don’t mind haha! i think for most actresses in china they only have a short blooming period so while she’s on a run, she should embrace it.. there’s an abundance of dramas for an abundance of new actresses in china. this one is an S rated drama so I would expect veteran actors and no less!
