If you want to enjoy an art, not only a drama, you need to put your expectation aside. Because no matter how good the art is, you won't get the message and appreciate it, because your expectation will influence your judgment, and mostly kill the joy. I will drop a drama if it's not my cup of tea, and won't ruin other people's happiness and keep spreading how bad the drama is in the page, but move on and find the other drama.

Rebirth is not the only drama from novel adaptation that deliberately change the story, but they keep the message. Even Game of Throne made some changes in the series and not stay true to its original sources, the books, but some people appreciate it. The last seasons are trash in some people opinion because some roles not stay true to its original characters and the conclusions are not following the prophesy.

I haven't watched Rebirth episode 36-40, so I won't say anything about it. But I believe in Zhuge Yue and Xing Er. Their story has a satisfying ending.

Yep. I barely finished the drama you mention, and just like Rebirth, it has many inconsistencies to the plot and characters in the novel, but still people praise it. On the contrary, so many people trash Rebirth for the same reason.

The way people interpret the ending is showing they understand the characters and details in drama since episode 1, or ignore them. I'm still waiting for the official episodes to be aired on iQIYI, and will watch all on May 1, but I know I'll get a satisfying ending. *fingers crossed*

Agree. What we want from a story is the meaningful messages through scenes and dialogues. Lives in their world are not easy, and the kingdoms are in constant war for power and resources. Some roles have deep reason to get their goals, and some have ridiculous logic in their revenge, but that's what makes this drama interesting.

We met that kind of people every day in our real life: the idealists, the backstabbers, the naives, the traitors, and many more. I guess this drama is too close to reality is the reason it's not everyone's cup of tea. My goodness, WeTV and iQIYI, we want the rest of the episodes now. 😤😒
