Yeah, I’m sure it’s part of a plan ZL FTY have cooked up to take down the Yus. But for her to have to even pretend to be loving towards Jingxiu makes me sick.

No, the teaser at the end of episode 31 shows Jingxiu holding Tingyun. He’s telling her he will not leave her alone in the capital. The way Papa Yu reacted, I bet he’s talking about marrying Tingyun. And Yake seems to be losing her marbles.

Who cares about someone else’s rating. I decide if I like something or not. Some people are making it their mission to make sure others dislike the show because they dislike the show. At the end of the day, everyone should make their own decision about the show, good or bad, and not be lemmings based on comment section rants.

I almost vomited watching the teaser for ep. 32. Better be some misdirection going on.

I can’t wait to see her star opposite Duke Su himself, Wang Xinyue, in Love Confession.

I found funny how in the previews, Madam Yu warns Tingyun against becoming like her and her husband. So she’s aware of what happens when you reach for power. At this point it’s like a drug and there is no saving the Yus.

That’s true. Just having him kicked out of court isn’t good enough. It’s good to see his career and marriage go up in flames though.

Why wasn’t Jingxiu thrown in jail? I see that General Mo is going to prison but shouldn’t Jingxiu basically be in prison as well for what he did?

I understand wanting to protect the one you love but secrecy is making things more difficult. He needs to tell her everything. Tingyun’s grandmother raised her for this lifestyle. So she knows how to operate among these people more than Zhao Ling. This will be the third time she has had to pull out a win against the Yus to save a miscalculation by ZL.

I was thinking Zhao Ling was faking his death for some reason. No one else was dressed in mourning.

The Yu couple are so awful. Sacrificing your own son to save yourself is a new low. Jingxiu deserves it though so I’m not shedding tears for him. I finally see Miss Wu’s role in the show. She is going to help bring about the downfall of the Yus from the inside. It will be a glorious day when the whole family, including Yake is carried away.

I hate that we are back to one episode. They will place our heroes in ultimate peril before they prevail. But we get left with cliffhangers. When will they release the remaining episodes? I can’t bear to wait any longer.

I personally know several women who stayed in abusive relationships either physical or mental. It’s easy for an outsider to ask why they didn’t just leave. But there are many reasons why women stay in abusive relationship. There is a cultural stigma in the case of Madam Fu. Early in the series she told Tingyun not be a coward like her. So in a way she blamed herself with how things went down with Tingyun and the grandmother. Remember, she couldn’t even save her daughter from being poisoned not to mention saving herself. And although she wrote the divorce letter, it’s not as easy as that. You saw him tear it up. She would have likely needed assistance from her brother to make that happen. At any rate, you see it as you see it.

The play at the birthday party ultimately failed. They only managed to strengthen the relationship between the emperor and his grandmother allowing him not to have build an expensive mausoleum. ZL and FTY got credit for that. And FTY is now favored by the empress. Just like the plan of trying to pawn the concubine off on Zhao backfired. They have successfully countered everyone of their plays.

Exactly. When Fu said that, I thought that was dumb of him. They didn’t even suspect foul play until he tried be smug and press ZL.

The interesting part about that is that it’s not true. Tingyun and Zhao Ling have outflanked the elder Yus at every turn. So yes, the Yus have been aggressive but nothing they have done has stuck.

I can’t believe we only have seven episode remaining. Can’t wait till they make all remaining available so I can binge. Ready to see how this will end.

How could she leave without a divorce? She was still married to him. She was still part of the Fu household. Even less than a 100 years ago it was hard for women to leave marriages. In some places, it’s still difficult. Daddy Fu was all bark until the Yu’s got involved. There was no evidence he would harm her at that point. Even Fu was a bit shocked when Yu hinted at harming her by exclaiming that was his wife. Based on the cultural norms of the time, her remaining with her husband is not a plot hole at all.

After Zhao took care of Father Fu, I was tickled by the way Tingyun looked at him the next morning. Did she forget what he did to Lu Da? I love the ruthless side of Zhao. At least he had a good reason. Father Fu needed killing. Zhao should have said, “don’t ask me about my business Tingyun.” I wonder if he’s going to be able to let all of that power go for her in the end. I believe we will get a happy ending. I can also see where a sad ending would be justified.

I liked that she recognized that in the Yu family she’s going from Jinxue’s cage to Momma Yu’s cage. She really has no say in that family.
