Same director of Love like the Galaxy and Blossom, Ofcourse this is the Best drama of 2026!!
He definitely has another hit on his hands. Blossom and The Double were my favorite shows of 2024. In fact both are two of my all time favorites. So finding out this is the same director behind Blossom is encouraging. The story and direction of LLTG was good but I couldn’t get into it mainly because of the FL. I’m just not a big fan of Zhou Lusi’s acting. It kinda ruined LLTG for me.

I was thinking this might be the reason for the flogging scene. She broke military protocol and did her own thing…
I guess we will find out. It’s very risky using an important figure like that as a bargaining piece. We have seen XJ chastise FCY for being reckless in the past. This might be one of those moments.

Ep 25 preview: Chang Yu is trying to trade a high‑profile hostage for some food. Really??? I hope she didn’t…
I was thinking this might be the reason for the flogging scene. She broke military protocol and did her own thing outside her rank. She went against Marquis Wuan’s plans. She’s a great fighter but needs to learn military discipline.

Preview 26-27 😩😩😩😩
I just hope they don’t spend too much time with her being angry with him and not wanting to be together until the last episode.

Interesting. They killed Gen Tang this early. Which means they cut off his arc. Makes sense, because the identity…
I haven’t read the novel but the fact that they decided to spend a great deal of time in the village, I knew they were going to have to make deep cuts somewhere.

The sad part though is there will only be 13 episodes left after that. So much to resolve in such a small amount…
Right. That’s the problem with forcing shows to have fewer episodes than past series. Each show should be allowed to tell their story with the amount of time needed. If you need 16 episodes, fine. If the story requires 70 episodes then that’s fine. The length should be organic to the narrative. We need to have enough time to wrap up the battlefield storyline, Qi Min/Qian Qian storyline, the Wei family storyline concerning Xie Zheng, the Fan siblings mystery and the reconciliation between Changyu and Xie Zheng. And that’s not even including the stuff with grand princess, Qi Shu and Gongsun. And of course we have to demolish poor Li Huaian’s hopes of ever being with Changyu. Lol. So there is a lot to do with so few episodes. I trust this director to give us a good ending, but I’m sure he would have loved more episodes to play with.

There nothing about what’s going on with them that makes me want them together. She’s like a trapped mouse…
Have they confirmed the transmigration will get used in series?

She’s showing no love for this guy. It’s a one sided obsession. I personally think the director is brilliantly using Cdrama romance tropes with them to show how dark and twisted Qi Min’s mind is. You can clearly see that Qian Qian hates him and is repulsed by his touch. But in his mind, it’s romantic play. If you view this couple from the lens of Qi Min, you see a tropey bad guy/good girl Cdrama romance. But if you view it through Qian Qian’s lens you see a woman who has been raped and traumatized. I think the director is trusting the audience to recognize to true nature of this relationship.

I say Changyu should give a try with Li Huai An because he's always there for her when things are hard unlike…
How is he being petty and not there for her? He took his most elite soldiers to go rescue her sister. Xie Zheng should have told her the truth of his identity for sure but he still has a battle to win regardless.

If any series deserves to have 50 or more episodes, it’s this one. I could watch another 20 episodes of them just being on the battlefield and then another 20 watching of them in the capital. Then you need time for the main couple to reconcile. With how well they are fleshing out secondary characters and allowing the relationship between the main couple to breath, I wouldn’t mind if this show was as long as The Story of Minglan and Story of Yanxi Palace.

She didn't have the heart to kill him when she had the chance. What are we to do with these two?
Or she just didn’t want to die. Had she killed him at that moment she would have died herself to never see her son again.

Qimin and QQ are seriously driving me crazy. In today’s first episode I was hating Qimin so bad but in the next…
There nothing about what’s going on with them that makes me want them together. She’s like a trapped mouse being pawed on by a cat. It’s clear she has no feelings for him.

Hot wrt actors. Not characters imo. The Sui characters are toxic af and deserve 0 redemption.
I want Qian Qian to delete Qi Min. She deserves that retribution. Xie Jheng can take care of Yuanquig

Oh no yall the grey hair dude needs to d*e a horrible d3ath. I thought he was just putting on a harsh front but…
Say it again. I can’t believe people want a man like that for Qian Qian. A man who is willing to traumatize you and your child is a non starter. That poor kid will never be the same.

Why are they upset?
Why on earth would you develop feelings for someone who has threatened the life of your child and murdered people to manipulate you? I think fans need to separate the actors they fawn over from the characters they portray. Deng Kai is a good actor who is doing a fantastic job playing a sick individual but no woman should aspire to be in a relationship with.

Why are they upset?
It wasn’t romantic at all. Only shippers see romance in that tub interaction. She’s tricking that maniac and making him see what he wants to believe. It’s sad that she has to give her body to someone she hates but she’s trying to save her son. It’s a very real and unromanticized way women had to compromise themselves in history to survive.

Why are they upset?
Why would there be consent and love with that monster? Are people crazy? Qian Qian did what she had to do protect her son and herself. She isn’t a super fighter like Changyu. She’s using her wit and her body to survive. I have no problem with what she’s doing. The villain is Qi Min.

I’m thinking about waiting to watch next weekend after tomorrow. Watching one episode is just too much of a tease. I’m be distracted with anticipating a new episode. I’ll just binge watch seven episodes, next Sunday.
