is there a similar romance drama where the FL is mature not the typical stupid or childish type
I’m thinking of Legend of Shen Li (xianxia), Journey to Love, Coroner’s Diary, Moonlight Mystique (xianxia), Alchemy of Souls (Korean), The Double, and I second Blossom. But I agree with another viewer, the FL in Legend of the Female General is more of the cute and playful type.
having read all the interviews and articles as well it's strange to me how people think this isn't a romance drama…
I personally watch shows for the romance 99% of the time. The plot of this one looked interesting enough, but I wasn’t sure how much romance was gonna be at the forefront. I’m glad that there will be some in this one and I am hopeful for a lot of it (I’m only 45min into the first episode; gonna finish my current show first).

Idk guys, but if you look at the list of genres with this show three other genres are listed before romance. That kind of tells me that the romance is veeerrryyy much not a theme of the show, and that there might be some, but not much. They might not even be setting up the FL and the ML, which is why people may be thinking the romance could be with the prosecutor. Granted I am not caught up yet (finishing Vincenzo). I’m not shipping anybody because I’m still pretty behind, but if there are a lot of people shipping the FL with the SML then maybe that’s where the writers are intending to go and they’re doing a good job putting in the subtle clues. 🤷🏼♀️And who knows, with the SML and SFL being listed as “main roles” on the cast list, maybe they’re planning to reunite the ML with his ex. Again, take all this with a grain of salt because I haven’t caught up. I’m just trying to be open-minded about where things could go. I don’t think I have the info on the bullying incident that people are referring to, but perhaps there will be redemption and reconciliation. Or maybe there is more context to it that we don’t know yet. Don’t we all ship couples in other shows that are imperfect? 🤷🏼♀️ To everyone who is throwing shade at those shipping her with the prosecutor- I bet I could look through your watchlist and pick out couples from your favorite shows where at least one of them hurt the other at some point.
Not a lot, certainly not as much as when I was in my The Vampire Diaries fandom like ten or more years ago. For someone who doesn’t have friends into Asian dramas like I am, I will take whatever bit I can get 😂

🤷🏼♀️Eh, you might see something different. Unless I get the impression that there’s a shift in the show’s dynamics, it will probably end up on my Not Interested list. Someone on Tumblr made a post that said, “More men on their knees 2026!” with Glory tagged in it. Huuuuugggeee turn off for me 😕

1) Not really. Obsessive SML, but it doesn’t last long. 2) Don’t remember, but the attraction is there by like episodes 5-6. The internet says their first kiss is in episode 17. 3) No breakup. Very brief ML memory loss later on. Lasts maybe one episode 4) HE for the main couple 😃

Makes sense. I ultimately put it on hold so I can wait and see. I watched the first half of the first episode and wasn’t completely sold on it. Mainly because I watch shows for romance and it just seemed very focused on the Rong women and very little screen time with the ML. Nothing wrong with that, it just isn’t what gets me into shows. And I wasn’t impressed with the male representation in the show. Most of the male cast besides the ML were either assholes or servants. It did strike me as very heavy on the women > men theme, similar to Blossoms in Adversity. Again, there’s nothing wrong with that at all, but it just isn’t personally my thing 🙂And from what I’ve heard about the next handful of episodes it doesn’t really change.
So I historically struggled to get into idol dramas because I am just not into watching music videos during the shows, the concerts, or getting into the music. I ended up dropping Love Me Love My Voice because it just became too heavy on the music aspect of it and I found it cringe. I’m just not a music person myself. BUUUUUTTTT the plot of this show looks really interesting, as do some of the gifs and scenes I’ve seen on Tumblr. Is this one heavy on the music and the “idol” part of the drama, or is it more focused on the murder case, the ML’s trauma and the FL? The FL seems pretty great.

Emasculated - that’s a good word. I guess I didn’t get those vibes as much from SL. I think I thought it was just a little slow and I wanted more of the ML’s edginess 😂
