So I am on 24… I’m really struggling with these common tropes of holding the kids responsible for the “sins” of their parents, parents negatively meddling in the love lives of their adult children and the whole breakup in general. Her dad just woke up and he made some comment about how he “would be too ashamed to face Mr. Han in heaven” and I took that to mean that he would be too ashamed if Hu Xiu continued to date Zhi Yu. It really makes me upset. And it makes me upset that she was so quick to break up with him right on the heels of telling him that her time with him was some of the happiest in her life (and her promises to work through things together). Well clearly you didn’t care about him enough and Zhi Yu doesn’t deserve all of this hate except for him keeping it a secret. But fuuuuuk, seeing how he was treated after his person and her family found out I’d have effing kept it a secret too. This is exactly why he didn’t tell anyone. /rant

I really hate the meddling parent trope… for parents to “force” their adult children to break up drives me crazy! I also hate it when the kids are blamed for the mistakes of their parents. If this is how it all goes down, I’m gonna be disappointed:/

So are we basically heading towards a breakup in the last quarter?

Love triangle isn’t bad. The FL sets clear boundaries from the start. It gets super cute with the main leads and some jealousy 😍They get together in episode 17 I think. I binged through it today so the episodes are blurring together lol

Yeah I know! I just was just a little confused by what exactly he experienced. It was just a little confusing with him playing hide and seek and then taking off the blindfold to see his dads picture on the table. I wasn’t sure if it was a flashback or a dream of sorts. the sequence of events was a little confusing. I know his dad died by suicide.

Can someone help me understand what happened with Zhi Yu in the tunnel? Did he have a flashback or was it more a memory of a dream? I’m not quite understanding what happened with that childhood memory of being blindfolded and seeing the picture of his dad on the table.

Ooooo I love the episodes after his rejection. I love how she called Pei out on his agenda, tactfully set a boundary and is moving on. I am also getting a lot of satisfaction seeing Zhi Yu feeling like crap and yearning / acting jealous AAAAAND Hu Xiu not pulling any punches with him - “employees are not obligated to report their after work life to their boss.” I LOVE HEEEEERRRRRRR 👏🏻

Wait - the leads are gonna breakup???

I am behind (into episode 12), but I gotta say that the drama is gorgeous- the OST, cinematography, lighting, colors, the aesthetics… all of it is just lovely.

OOOO I really wanna know the story between Zhiyu and Pei! Like he literally cut off Pei’s car in order to get Huxiu away from him when he was driving her home 👀
