yeah basically her husband signed the papers but yk how they were back then, since she was all alone the papers alone weren’t enough, so she purposefully spread rumours (fake ofc) that her husband was going to be punished. That’s how the managed to scare the family off (cuz if the rumours were actually true the whole family could be beheaded) and keep all her wealth

i don’t why the other person who replied to you is trying to undermine your opinion summarising the drama as ‘a man forced a woman to marry her’ like we know??? that’s also a part that represents how women were treated! I love LJQ but Lanxiang is absolutely right to be furious with him. Literally the whole drama is about women suffering injustices big or small and overcoming them!!!

Episode 39, which was disliked by many is the greatest example of this: the whole crew was smart and attentive enough to transmit everything that needed to be said through filmography instead of straight up words

the last panel of the last episode did say ‘to be continued’ and apparently changshou has to go through another tribulation so i suppose yes

to add my my comment, i’ve seen people say that the author had to explain the fusion part multiple times, so even in the novel it wasn’t explained super great, let’s just say it happened and not question stuff even the author can’t explain lol

LOLLL i love the upgraded pack description. I think the reason why xihe doesn’t have that personality since the beginning is because she’s from the North and even tho she’s the daughter of the duke she isn’t accustomed to the capital at all. Having living a sheltered and spoiled life (not in a bad way) she would have no reason to grow up cunning, that’s how qingzhi’s role is fundamental cuz she just fuses😂 with her and teaches all the basics yk, cuz she’s actually a noble lady from the capital, and she’s from a prestigious family as well. Xihe and Qingzhi are sides of the same coin basically

she was never attached to them in the first place, plus it took qingzhi’s soul 3 while years to find xihe. From my understanding Xihe is not qingzhi, their memories and teachings are intertwined ofc but she’s living as shen xihe and is only using qingzhi as a mentor

he a bit obnoxious and weird but everything he did was to make his childhood friend remember him (he’s too prideful to come clean at once i suppose) he’s annoyed that he doesn’t remember him but he still helps the team out (later they will have to take an exam and will almost get caught cheating (they’re not really but kinda) and he picks up the cheat sheet and deletes the camera footage for them so they don’t get caught
