I hope too. I doesn`t hurt to be optimistic and hope for the best. Because is a movie, even if is aired through a streaming platform too, it will still not be available at the same time with the release in Japan because it will first have a cinema release in which it will not be available anywhere. But if after it finishes airing in cinema, is released through a streaming platform, it might br available faster.
We have to see what it happens with CHERRY MAGIC THE MOVIE, which will be available first, because is unlikely they will proceed differently with Utsukushii Kare.

It still doesn`t feel real. I still can`t believe we are so lucky, because i know isn`t as easy as it seems for a BL to get a continuation, not matter what form it is.

There isn`t a completed translation of the novels, but there is someone who has started translating the first novel. It`s the translator who did the fantranslation for the drama, LOLLIPOP.
It will take a while until is fully translated, as you can most likely guess.

Usually it takes at most 6 months for japanese movies to be available outside Japan from the moment they are released in cinema. The movie hasn`t started filming yet, so we have to consider the production and preparation time too, so yes, about one year.

The drama also has a trailer released by RAKUTEN TV youtube channel, so it will most likely be in Viki too.

Yes. It has a happy ending and it was announced recently that it will have movie sequel too.
I suggest for you to watch the drama in Viki, it has the best subtitles.

My beautiful man has won the Galaxy award for best TV 2021 in Japan. The previous year winner was cherry magic and the year before was What Did You Eat Yesterday?, which both has also got a movie sequel. Japanese fans prefere movie sequels, and a movie is better for the actors too.

I know that ratings are not reliable. I also don`t take the rating in consideration if i decide to watch something. But i like to save what i watch and to rate the dramas and movies i watch in MDL, and the way some of them are rated bothers me a lot.
Ii feel that the rating for this movie is too unfair.
The way that BL dramas and movies are rated in MDL is just frustrating to watch, because there isn`t any balance on it.

This is not a movie for immature people. To be honest, a lot of BL/LGBT dramas and movies aren`t meant to be watched by immature or really young people.
I just wish that people who still choose to watch them, to rate them with a bit more responsability, but i know is too much to ask.

I just visited the page after a long time, and just saw the rating and i remained with my mouth opened and without words to say, this is how unreal this seems to me.
This rating is just too low compared how well the movie is made.
It`s not a movie made more than twenty years ago.

The main reason of why the rating is so low is most likely because of people being bitter of the drama success and coming to the page to lower the rating in purpose.
I won`t give a name to what other dramas fans i am talking about, but like other people have mentioned below, the essential reason is because is not a fluffy BL.

Yes. It will not be a purely romcom, because the characters are adults, the story take place in an office environment and it touchs other adults-like struggles related to the characters careers.
I hope the drama will be more similar with Cherry magic, because i think is time for a different kind of romcom too, and i miss the office environment kind of story in BL.
This kind of setting is one of my favorite in BL mangas.

I just finished making my research about it. I think it will be a good adaptation.
I read the manga a long time ago.
I like how similar Yuki is with Hira. He really is kind of a Hira 2.0, hahahaa, but it will most likely be a toned down version of Hira, since this drama will be a romcom.
Anyway, i really look forward to this adaptation too.
I should really go and watch the last ep released of Mr. Unlucky since i have been so busy lately with other things and i keep pushing back watching the last ep.
