As to no spoil you, i will give you minimal information. As revealed in the synopsis, Yashiro confessed to Kenta that he likes him before getting in the car accident, so Kenta knows that Yashiro likes him from the start. Kenta has always treated Yashiro differently from everyone else, but he was never attracted to a boy, this is where the bisexual tag comes from. Yashiro chooses to get reborn as a girl , but after this, everything don`t happens as you would most likely expect. This is related to the part in the synopsis that says "Yashiro gets accidentally killed" . At the end of ep 2, you will find out what i mean. It`s not a permanently situation, nothing happens at it seems in this drama. The tags LGBTQ and gay romance originates from the fact that in the manga this drama is adapted from Yashiro and Kenta are the end game. I will not say more, some things are changed from the manga, but the drama follows the story closely. Give it a try. It`s a really good drama. The gender bender and reborn thing is not a permanent thing in this story. The drama handles well all the things that bothers me a lot usually in dramas that has stories similar with this.
BL Award 2022 from chil-chil :- Utsukushii Kare ranks 1st in Best Novel, Best Video (drama/movie/SP/Anime), Best…
Yes. I just saw this in twitter. Glad you mentioned this. It still feels a bit unbelievable, but of course i am really happy the story and the characters are so well appreciated.
The DVD/BD for this drama will finally be released next Friday (April 8)! The official IG and Twitter accounts…
Yes. April-May will be exciting for us, since it’s the DVD/ Blu-ray release and Yusei and Riku fanmeeting. We have to really keep our eyes for the fanmeeting, because they may announce a possible second season there.
Did you make a new account so it will be filled with positive comment?
Whatever float your boat i guess. You can block me, lol is not that i mind. I am not like you who writes the things you do. It seems you are not even realising that the fact that you are still writing comments like this to a drama that you don't even like, sends a wrong message about you.
Did you make a new account so it will be filled with positive comment?
Yes. It seems you are not that less crazy too. If someone is a new user and wants to let a positive comment in a drama page then is something that is so unbelievable to you, lol? Like do you have so low opinion on the drama that you think there wouldn't people who come to like the drama and decide to make an account in MDL to let a positive comment about it? People do this, you know? It seems to me that you are the one speculating things and behaving strangely.
Did you make a new account so it will be filled with positive comment?
And you have the habit of writing something like this as a response to every positive comment? It seems you don't like the drama, so what is it that you are still doing here? Like, this is a bit creepy and obsessive, i am sure that they are plenty of dramas that you will like. It will do you more good to write positive comments about something you like than spreading your dislike about something left and right.
Always welcome! I didn't think I'd enjoy the show as much as I enjoyed subbing it hahah To be honest, this is…
Yes . They did change some things from the manga, especially the story around Kagura, but i am sure that it will end well and they will not change the ending story of Kenta and Yashiro. I trust Japan for keeping their adaptations fairly faithful to the source material. I think the story was changed for KAGURA to bring the last conflict between Kenta and Yashiro in the last eps. I also like how everything was changed, it makes the story have more depth. In a way i expected the changes, because Japan doesn`t handle things like death in a superficial way and there is not way that KAGURA matter would have been brushed off.
EP. 4 is even better... daaaamn I'm always on the edge of my bed like... what will happen
At least there are two eps at week and it will be over quickly. Until de drama is over i am gonna give the manga multiple rereads while paying more attention to the details. It's good i like to read mangas too hahahaha.
WOW. I just finished watching ep 3, and the acting, the acting is just amazing. I am surprised how good at acting even the younger actors are. The cinematography is good too, and is a very well executed drama, i hope more people will give it a chance. I know the story is amazing because i read the manga, so the next eps will only get better and better, but with the small changes made and how good the acting is, this drama is really good. This drama deserves to be much more well known, hopefully more and more people will watch it in the future. I can`t wait to watch ep 4. I want to thank Furritsu for providing eng subs for us, they are the best, and they have done a great job.
Thank you for pointing this out, I checked the manga too, and you are right, I really hope the drama adaptation will adapt the events in the manga faithfully and it won t change the ending, I submited some tags to be added to reflect the gay romance and the LGBTQ representation.
I think the character of Sasaki Mugi will also be really interesting to watch, because of the actor casted to play him. Nakayama Satsuki take on the character gives me a really cool and charismatic vibe.
I think you're mostly on your own with this opinion, my friend, except for the horror that is Hayeon trying to…
I like to reasearch so i wouldn`t spend time on something that i would most likely not continue watching. I am an old BL watcher, i have watched a lot of BLs over the years, i`ve become really picky on what i watch. In the last two years, more and more BLs are made, especially from Thailand, where the quality is not that good, which is why i don`t watch them anymore. I have good faith in the BLs made by Korea and i have a strong belief this country will be able to do really good quality BLs soon, but i still don`t like the tendency people have to praise any BL made just because the genre in a respective country should be supported, because things will not change for the better otherwise. The reason why i writed my previous comment is that i decided to watch this drama, i have given it THE OKAY to watch it after research it, and i thought it will be good and things will only get better as more eps are released, but this didn`t happen. I was just really disappointed. I could tell it would not be that great, but i thought it will at least be decent, with a decent story and acting, but some decisions the production team made had me really angry. I don`t like to just watch a BL, because you know, why people would just watch something if they are not sure they will like it. I am just not that kind of person. Sometimes, i am willing to check something, even if i am not sure i will like it, but it doesn`t happen often. I will definitely know from researching something, if it will be good or not, i have the experience to back it up. For me, is enough to watch the teasers, read the synopsis, look at the acting experience the actors have and look at the screenwriter other works to know if i will like something or not. I think i can say i have my own routine build over many years. It does help that i am familiar with a lot of korean and japanese actors, and i know a decent amount of info about each entertainment industry, as i started watching kdramas and jdramas a long time ago.
I think i know the reason why they just showing bromance cause maybe the director is not good in romance genre…
I also come to accept that what happened with The Night Beyond The Tricornered Window and Kei x Yaku is a production decision and i can understand them for some part, even if i wish they would not chose to adapt those mangas, because honestly it ruins a bit the reputation that Japan has tried to build all those years, like why go back to censor BL content, because JAPAN had in the past some bromance movies that tried to cater to BL audience too. But in Cherry magic and Kieta Hatsukoi case is different. They are clearly BLs because the couples date, and the characters confess to each other, is just that they don`t show kisses. Again, it would be better if they would show at least one kiss, because if it was not for Utsukushii Kare that managed to break the cycle, people would really criticize Japanese BL productions and the direction it seems to take. Give Cheery magic a chance because the matter with Akaso is only a rumour, it was some rumors back then that the characters didn`t kiss because of the involvement of the agencies the actors are part from, but they are only rumors. The actors agreed to make the movie too, which will be released this year, i am sure they want make up for the ending in the drama. Kieta Hatsukoi is okay too, i think is still worth watching. From now on Japan will release more japanese BLs. I read MBS has partnered with a production company to produce more BLs until the end of the year, which will be aired in the airing spot that Utsukushii Kare had. Fukou-kun wa Kiss Suru Shikanai! will be the first that will be released. Never mind, i saw you already watched Cherry magic.
I didn't read the manga, I freely admit, but truthfully, I don't need to read it to know that the the drama and…
Yes. I agree that a BL doesn`t need kiss or sex scenes, i liked Kieta Hatsukoi and Cheery magic, but it needs an acknowledgment of a romantic relationship at least, someone openly saying they like the other one and them tacitly dating or openly dating. They have to give us something for a drama/movie to be differentiated from bromance dramas, and this drama didn`t give us anything. I understand chinese censored bromance dramas, because they have not choice, but this drama doesn`t have this restriction. I am all for acknowledging dramas as BLs even with the minimum BL content, but this drama doesn`t cut it in my opinion. At most in consider it in between a bromance and BL, but not a fully fleshed BL in any case, and not at the level of Cheery magic and Kieta Hatsukoi. I was actually upset from the beginning when i saw Japan decided to adapt the manga this drama is based of, because i knew it will end up like this. The manga is part of the BL category, at least is expected to be, but is an ongoing one, with the last volume don`t having the characters making their relationship clear, so everything is up on the air there too. Japan doesn`t usually do in between bromance and BL dramas/movies, this and The Night Beyond the Tricornered Window are the only exceptions they have, and hope no one will follow.
The show is so short that they release a relationship chart just in case you missed it.Well obviously the production…
The relationship chart is useful in a way because it reveals who the end game will be if people have somehow missed looking at the cover photo. You made me laugh so much when you mentioned the drama being a microseries, which you are right lol, this is the shortest KBL ever released. I like how realistic the story is, because in real life, people can`t be differentiated in good or bad people in matters of love, but most of the time is just a matter of timing, of who comes first in someone life, confess first and manage to make the person they love, to love them back. Ji Seok acts like a jerk sometime, but i like how honest and vulnerable is in his chase for Hyun Woo.
I'm having problems setting 3 characters apart. I mean, except Do Jin whose face is completely different from…
It was some time since we talked. I don`t know why people have a hard time recognizing the characters, because for me it`s really easy. If you differentiate Hyun Woo from Ji Seok is enough, since based on the teasers and the cover photo, those are the end game. From what i know Hyun Woo and Ji Seok will date, after for some reason they will break up, but they will reunite in the end. Sometime, the one who makes the first move and is honest about it is the one who wins, even through the other guy is obviously the better guy. Watch the teasers, maybe you will be able to differentiate them better.
Glad you liked the drama. As someone who knows how Hira and Kiyoi are in the source material which are multiple…
Ohhh. A dedicated fan of the drama. Then we are in the same boat, because i am also waiting for someone to pick up the manga for an english translation , whch i hope it will happen when it will have more chapters released. The manga is the most closest adaptation of the novel in my opinion, it just has a more accurately psychological and a bit more messed up vibe than the drama and even audio drama. It`s really interesting to read.
