Thank you about it. I didn`t realised the latest killer is based on Kang Ho Sun. I did suspected it when i saw the picture with the dogs, as i saw someone covering him in youtube. It makes sense now.
I think you are right, the Red Cap/Hat killer may be inspired by Lee Chun Jae, even through a lot of things were changed in the drama and the background and age are too far apart, and the main clue being the rumours that Lee Chun Jae victims were wearing red cloths in raining days, ( even through this was most likely changed to the killer wearing a red cap). And there is the guy who suffered from the wrongful convinction which happened in Lee Chun Jae case too with Yoon Sung-yeo.
I agree that for the other killers, they adapted everything to be really similar to the real killers, from the actors casted, details to the crime cases and everything related.

Many of us who watched the drama from the moment the first ep aired keep coming back here.
I am still hoping for a second 2 announcement too.

The only japanese BLs that comes close to this in that they have really good cinematography, experienced actors and complex story and i rec for you to try are:

Those below are short/minidramas ( all eps together has a duration of a movie, especially for the first 2 recs):
- Life senjou no bokura
- Utsukushii kare - it looks like a story catered to teens, but is more complex than this. I firmly believe this story can be fully appreciated for what it is in all it`s beauty by adults or people who have a certain life experience, because it has many nuances.
- Cheery magic- this is more light, but if the magic element it taken out, is a really well made drama with a good story and realistic enough story, and the acting is one of the best that can be found among japanese BLs.

Finally, the drama is back. God this wait was excruciating. I hope i will never have the bad luck of encountering a drama i watch while it`s airing that has to take a long break. I understand the reason, but this doesn t mean i like it. They did have the choice to broadcast the drama more later, but they didn t.
Anyway, so glad is back, gonna hurry to watch ep 7.
It has been a while since i watched a crime/mystery drama this good. This drama and Mystery to Iunakare has made my days better in this period of time, and i am so grateful.

I think there is a higher posibility he will also be recasted.
As long as the scandal isn`t really big and related to a crime punished legally, lately a lot of korean actors/actresses who had several different scandals in the past, has been able to made succesful comebacks. Just look at Lee Byung Hun.
I also think is okay for actors to do this . Celebrities aren`t perfect and shouldn`t have to be. Common people doesn t get fired from the job because of what happens in their personal lifes, they also shouldn`t be different.
I don t even like Jand Dong Gun, this is just my personal opinion about this. In my opinion there is a big chance Jang Dong Gun will be recasted, especially since is a really well known and recognized actor.

It has to remain the same. The actors doesn t seem to be so busy now. I think the production team will make all the adjustments to bring all of them back, otherwise it`s meaningless to make a second season.

So happy, finally. I put off watching the ending of part 3 of first season even through i spoiled myself , because i was disappointed that the announcement of the second season keep being delayed, even through it was meant to have multiple seasons from the beginning for the story to be complete.

Yes. The scene with Hira parents in track 9 is hilarious, one of the most crazy ones i read. Hira doesn't have any common sense when it comes to Kiyoi lol. Hira is really weird when it comes to Kiyoi, and this is why Kiyoi is attracted to him, but in a situation like this, i don t want to be in Kiyoi's shoes. It does makes for a fun read thu. I love them anyway, weirdness or not, because they are so lovable, both as individuals and together.

Nope. Aira and MisterHS are right, the ending song, which is Roce- Follow is about Kiyoi feelings. I was confused too at the beginning.
I think it was shared before an youtube video which has a really accurate translation. The initial translations of the song was wrong, which has given a inaccurate perception of the lyrics.

I really enjoyed reading your reply, thank you for writing me, I also definitely think that this drama managed to turn up like this because it was not based on a BL manga, but a japanese BL novel for a change. A novel that is brilliantly writed and Utsukushii kare audio drama. I think Utsukushii kare audio drama was used as a huge reference for the drama, as the way the characters behave, the way the characters talk, and overall the events that happens in the drama are very similar with what happens in the audio drama.

Hira has rebelled finally because Shirota dared to mess with the person he loved, so yes he did it because Shirota started bullying Kiyoi, but this was just the last push that Hira needed to stand out to his bullies. While seeing Kiyoi being treated like this started everything, this opened all his pent up anger he had towards his bullies, towards all the people who treat him badly from the past until then. In the end, all that he has done was for himself, to liberate himself and be able to finally breath.
I don`t know if i explained myself in a way that you will understand what i want to say, but to keep it short- while Kiyoi was the match that lighted everything, Hira did it for himself, i hope it make sense.

This is the biggest difference between Kiyoi and Koyama.
Kiyoi always treats Hira like he treats everyone else, he doesn`t treat him different just because of his stuttering problem, and he doesn`t let him get away with things that he thinks is not right, so because of this Kiyoi might come across as unlikable or rude, but i really appreciate this side of him.
Honestly, for a romantic relationship to work long time, the persons in it shouldn `t be too considerate or rely on each other too much. People shouldn`t wish for the other person to rely too much on them, but to only support them from the side and intervine with good advice when they think is the case and nothing more.
On the other side, Koyama is the type that will sacrifice a lot for his lover, would adapt to his needs and like do things that he would assume is the best and appropiate to do for his lover , which can make the other love interest rely on him too much or be burdened by it. This is not a bad thing and works for some relationships where the other love interest doesn`t let him get too attached and points things that should be pointed out, but Hira and Koyama are too similar in this respect, so them being in a relationship wouldn`t work.
Honestly human relationships are so complex, being friendships or romantic relationships and this drama managed to present a small part of this complexity, which is one of the things i love about this drama.

The source material is a novel. But the novel does have a manga adaptation that was released recently, and two audio dramas/ drama CDs.
