This has a very indie-ish vibe to it, not that traditional gloomy treatment j dramas usually have.Since this is…
As someone who has read the two mangas, the first half will be about Mieko, Makio and Eiji and the second part will be really unpredictable. The second manga focuses on Maiko and another new character. To give minimal spoilers, if you watch closely the trailer and look at the cast section, it says that this drama has four main characters.
Did Makio and Eiji end up together? Please reply with a spoiler tag. ^^
Yes. The story and the development for the second part of the story was kept hidden.
Only people who read the manga In the apartment know how the story in the second part of the drama will unveil.
Asato has some scenes in the trailer too, much more than if he was just a supporting character.
The synopsis is misleading, just like the synopis for Utsukuahii Kare that only mentions the high school part, but not the time skip and the college part when the characters learn some important lessons in the meantime.

No. Makio and Asato ends together here.
This is why they`ve said in the review that they rooted for Eiji and they didn`t liked the direction the story has taken because they liked more Makio, Eiji and Mieko story part.
The later part of the story focuses on Makio and Asato.
I think you will now also understand better why i`ve written my comments the way i did it.
Thank you for this! ❤ You just made me feel guilty from comparing this series to "Kimi no Koto Dake Mite Itai"…
Huh. I like the manga, but i also like unique, surprising and realistic stories like this.
The two mangas that this drama is adapted from have excellently and unpredictable written stories.
I guess the biggest reason why i like this drama is because even while reading the manga i was rooting for Makio to find someone new that could help him start over and who by being in his presence will inspire him to be a better and happy person than he would be if he was in his own.
I usually enjoy watching all kind of stories, from the cute/fluffy, psychological, the ones that doesn't take each other seriously or really dark ones too, but i prefer the most the realistic ones.
In the cases of BLs/ LGBTQ works, i prefer the ones that has a story where the choices the characters make makes senses for the context of the story or other things and to have LGBTQ elements in the story.
This explains why my favorite BL/LGBTQ dramas/movies are from Japan, and why i tend to watch them the most. I always end up liking the way the story ends up in japanese BLs.
I am a big fan of Life senjou no bokura, the movies His, The cornered mouse dreams of cheese, so it was only natural that i will like the story this drama has.
After reading the review that heavenski did for the drama, while i really understand why they didn`t liked the ending, a big reason for that seems to be because they didn't liked the direction the story has and them getting to like more the first love interest for Makio. They have all the right to feel like that.
But i want to say that people can`t compare this BL with others that they have seen until now, because is not only a BL where everything unveils happy and has a classic kind of happy ending.
This is a drama that tries to tell a good and realistic story in the first place. It might not make all people happy, but it doesn`t have thu.Like heavenski has said, some characters and some people who watch this drama might wish for a different outcome, but this drama is a more realistic drama that shows that not only happy things happens in real life. What matters is how you overcome it and move forward.
How everyone ends up in the present is the result of the choices they made in the past and the past cannot be undone. Stories like this have to be told as well.
There is a need for more stories like this in BL. I hope more BLs that has realistic, mature and complex stories like this will be adapted more often. I want to see more stories like this from Japan.
Episide 1 was really really good, impressing. not sure about the ending now because of the comments:(
As someone who has read the manga i am sure the ending is still good enough. The story doesn`t have a happy kind of vibe as is unveiled, but it shouldn`t have a really bad or sad ending.
I noticed that the screenwriter way of writing ( Asano Taeko) tends to give a realistic and kind of melancholic kind of vibe to some of other projects i watched in which they were involved in. For exemple the movies First love and Clover has more realistic stories and endings compared to other japanese movies.
What do you mean, the S1 complete? but it's only released yesterday
All the eps were released. Amazon Prime released all eps at once yesterday. But we have to wait for Furritsu to translate all of them because amazon prime doesn`t provide eng subs.
Based on the trailer I have high expectations. Finally a new serious men romance with depth from Japan. And not…
It`s indeed not a love triangle ( not really), being between the girl and the guys or between the guys. But they are two love interests for Makio if you haven`t noticed from the trailer.
As someone who has read the two mangas that this drama is adapted from, i can confirm that this drama will have a lot of depth.
It will be a slice of life kind of jdrama similarly with Life senjou no bokura. Based on the trailer i have huge expectations. I have the impression i will really like this drama.

I am excited by this drama and i think it shows most likely.

Take your time, you can take longer if you find it too tiring.

MDL has also mentioned that the series airs from 16 Sept to 16 Sept ( in the mobile app) which suggest that a drama airs all eps in one single day.
Now we only have to wait to be subbed or hopefully be picked up by a streaming platform that will provide eng subs.

It makes me understand the story much better and now i know what to expect from it.
I don`t even watch Kamen rider series, but even i noticed that the amount of actors casted in BL from KAMEN RIDER is big.
