I am with you. I am glad Makio got out of that mess. Ep 8-10 has even more shocking turns of events because this…
Like me, that commenter knows what they are talking about.
It`s like they said. Basically the japanese live action dramas/movies try to adapt the scenes from the manga in a really similarly fashion. It`s like they use the manga as a guide and only change or add some small things to make the circumstances or the things that happen a bit more realistic, to be logical enough.

This assure that the screenplay is very well written and almost every single thing makes sense and is connected among them.

I didn`t mean to say that the manga usually explain everything but it usually gives more context. I always try to read the mangas or the novels that japanese dramas or movies are adapted from, because the majority are adaptations.

I didn`t cared that much about the manga More than words to be honest here, but i really really liked reading the BL manga In the Apartment which starts being adapted from ep 8 .
I agree about Eiji. I didn`t liked Mieko as well. In all this story, i only like Makki and Asato, but is still a very interesting drama to watch, which i think i will rewatch from time to time.

Makki and Eiji weren`t meant to be the endgame couple from the beginning but i still wished that Makki wouldn`t have had to go through that. Makki had another love interest waiting for him from the very beginning, hahaha.

Seeing Makki behaviour in the last 3 eps it`s breaking my heart a little though. I think the reason why this drama is really fascinating to me is seeing Makki journey from the beginning to the end of the drama. He makes for a really fascinating character. Asato is a really complex character too.

No. It's not up already. But they only released the other ones recently.
Yes. But i also find it hopeful to see Makio doing small steps to move forward.

Ep 10 is a good conclusion to the story in my opinion.

@9820273 Yes, Eiji and Mieko remain together. But both are not genuinely happy. It looks more of a marriage for convenience to me. Like they settled for it.While in the case of Makki and Asato, i really felt that Makki has really come to love him. Makki does many things that cause him pain and requires a lot of courage, only because he wants to be with him. The way i see it, Makio is struggling with wanting to give a real chance to his relationship with Asato, but also mentaining a certain distance so he wouldn't get hurt again. What happened with Eiji has put his impact on Makki and is really heartbreaking to see. I am really glad he meet someone like Asato, because he is a really considerent and caring kind of guy. They are both able to be themselves in each other presence, which i think is wonderful. It all ends up well in the end.

Can someone explain to me or give me spoiler for Eiji and Makki story at ep 8, i just throw it in the middle,…
In ep 8, Makki continue to cut all contact from Eiji and Mieko. He wouldn't meet them again until years pass.

Mieko gives birth to a baby girl and she and Eiji gets married.

Years pass and Makio will meet a new love interest, an old classmate in school, Asato who is among the main cast too.

I watched until ep 10 and Maiko story ends in a happy note. The last three eps of this drama adapts the story from the BL manga In the Apartment which has Makio and Asato story. Those two are the endgame in this story. Makki will not end up alone but he will struggle a lot until he gets his happy ending.

I've written all this for you to continue watching. I hope you will continue to watch it because it's definitely worth it. I think almost all is handled until the end, even through not everyone will have a really classic happy ending.

LOL! I dont know who to blame with this mess....I am full of regret watching this show.....this gave me a lot…
The real BL/LGBTQ part start from ep 8, which adapts In the apartment, the sequel BL manga of More than words. But yes, people who like more Eiji and Makio pairing will be heartbroken over what happens in the last eps of the drama.I really understand how you feel. I experienced this with other dramas.

Exactly 😀😄. I always love reading your comments related to this drama.

The series itself was based on two manga, In the Apartment which is BL, and the prequel More Than Words which…
Yes. The last three eps will adapt the story from In the Apartment.

I am still a bit bitter that they only allocated 3 eps for In the apartment, but they did a good enough job to adapt it.

The last 3 eps are my favorite eps for this drama.

Wow. I am almost speechless at what this Series has become. I liked it a lot at first from the vibe mostly, although…
I am with you. I am glad Makio got out of that mess.
Ep 8-10 has even more shocking turns of events because this is where a new love interest for Makio enters the picture.

I mentioned in my other comments below how Mieko knows who is her kid father. Eiji, Makio and Mieko sleep together for the first time 12 weeks ago, but Makio hasn`t sleep with Mieko after that time, it was an one time thing.
Because it was confirmed that Mieko is 8 weeks pregnant, it means that Mieko and Eiji has continued to have sex after, whatever or not Makio was aware of it or he agreed with it.

In the manga, is hinted that Eiji and Mieko gets attached to each other, maybe not in a romantic way, but they have some attachment going on, which of course be bothering Makio.

I saw your other comment you have written to me. The story for this drama followed what happened in the manga quite closely until now and it will follow closely for the last eps too. The person asked for what happened in the manga to get more context about it.

People who didn`t read the manga can interpret it the way they want it, is just that other people can`t ignore the opinion of those who read the manga, because it usually makes the most sense and it connects everything well.

I usually don`t expect for the story in the live action to happen the same as in the manga and i am able to separate them well.

I also don`t assume things without a basis. What i deduced makes sense because only this will explain why all characters have reacted the way they did, why Mieko lied, why Mieko was sure who is the father, why Makio was sure he wasn`t the father.

When a drama is based on an adaptation, if something is not presented clearly enough, only by reading the source material will clarify things.

Almost all japanese BL dramas and movies are much more faithful to the story from the source material and try to stay more true to it, than the adaptations released from other countries. This is what i observed from watching many japanese BL and LGBTQ dramas and movies over the years.

Yes. They sleep again together. I am sure that Makio really felt hurt and betrayed by those two and we can see…
@7760573 I think ep 10 still has really good content to surprise you.

Yes. What bothered the most is that i feel that Eiji and Mieko kind of trapped Makio to follow along to what they wanted, without really asking him if he was happy with all that is happening.

No one was happy, but Mieko did it to prevent Makio to leave from her life ( she did had an unhealthy attachment to him) and to prevent the three of them to distance themselves from each other and Eiji because it was the easy way out, which could please his father but still continue to be with Makio.

They all were naive but i think Eiji was not only naive, but a coward too, because he was 100% aware this couldn`t work but did nothing to stop it even through it was his biggest responsability to stop it.

Mieko was a broken kind of character in the first place, Eiji has developed internalised homophobia and didn`t have enough confidence to be in a relationship with a man, but Makio was a realy carefree and innocent person, and all that happening destroyed all his innocence and has made him a really gloomy person. He didn`t know everything about Eiji world, about dating a man, but he trusted him and he was crushed the most. If i was in his place, i would want to get out of that situation and never get back with Eiji.

I come to really love the realness, rawness, straightforwardness of this drama, of how relatable all this is.
This feels like a drama situated between a hetero , BL and LGBTQ drama mixed all in one, and is really refreshing to watch.

So Eiji and Meiko really did sleep again?! Wow! When Makio said Meiko lied to him, he really must've felt betrayed.…
Yes. They sleep again together.

I am sure that Makio really felt hurt and betrayed by those two and we can see more of this in the last eps. He did felt guilty too most likely, because he knows he should have done more to stop what happened. But i personally blame Eiji the most for all the mess that happened.

In their trio relationship, Makio was the one that gets the short end of the stick, but in my opinion it was for the better as Makio has a good ending. I won`t reveal more so i won`t spoil you in case you didn`t watched all the eps.

I wanna know the same thing. Maiko said to Makki, "I'm 13 weeks, so the baby is probably yours." Doesn't this…
@7438158 I read the manga too. This is why i was really sure on what i`ve said.I edited my previous message a bit so i will summarise some things again. In the manga, the three of them only sleep together one time, the first time they had sex in the drama. Makio didn`t slept with Mieko after that. If she has gotten pregnant the first time they all three had sex, she would have been 12 weeks pregnant and both of them could be the father. In the manga, after they sleep together, is hinted that Mieko and Eiji become more closer and developed feelings for each other, so they have continued to sleep together from time to time. Makio didn`t liked Mieko as a woman, so there is not way he could have had sex with her while being in a relationship with Eiji, if it wasn`t for other reason than the stupid idea of them conceiving a kid. Mieko knows that she only slept together with Eiji after that first night and both Eiji and Makio knows it. This is why Makio was sure he couldn`t be the father if Meiko was 8 weeks pregnant. If you haven`t noticed Meiko lied in the beginning and said that she was 12 weeks pregnant while it was confirmed by the doctor that she was 8 weeks pregnant.

For more details, read the reply i made to 4sian_Lov3r .People don`t need to read the manga, they just need to do some math and analyse it based on their reactions. There aren`t many options left. I did read the manga so this is based on what i know from the manga as well. She isn`t 12 weeks pregnant, that was the part where she lied. The doctor said she was 8 weeks pregnant when she asked. In the manga, the three of them only sleep together one time, the first time they had sex in the drama. Makio didn`t slept with Mieko after that. If she hipotheticaly has gotten pregnant the first time they all three had sex, she should would have been 12 weeks pregnant and both of them could be the father. In the manga, after they sleep together, is hinted that Mieko and Eiji become more closer and developed feelings for each other, so they have continued to sleep together for time to time. Mieko knows that she only slept together with Eiji after that first night and both Eiji and Makio knows it. This is why Makio was sure he couldn`t be the father if Meiko was 8 weeks pregnant.Mieko wasn`t convincing on who the father was, so this is why Makio was suspicious. If she is 12 weeks pregnant, both of them could be the father but she was sure only Makio was the father, while she couldn`t be sure without a DNA test.

Can somebody explain the 8 weeks /12 weeks pregnancy lie in ep. 7? Didn't the three of them have sex together…
Mieko was 8 weeks pregnant, but my guess is that the only time when both Eiji and Makio slept with Mieko, was 4 weeks before/prior, when she was supposed to be 12 weeks pregnant).

So if she was 12 weeks pregnant, both Eiji and Makio could be the father. But if she was 8 weeks pregnant, being that Makio didn`t slept with her again, Mieko and Eiji slept together again and only Eiji could be the father. Now whatever they did it openly or had kept it hidden it from Makio is another story.

This is why Makio was so sure that if she was 8 weeks pregnant, he couldn`t be the father. He didn`t slept with her again after that first night that they did it together.
I also read the manga, so i think this is also why is more easily to guess this. In the manga it was hinted that Mieko and Eiji developed feelings for each other after sleeping together.

This is why Mieko asked how long in her pregnancy was and looked disappointed,. Mieko wanted for Makio to be the father and this is why she lied that the father is Makio. It's good that ahe admitted later that Eiji is the father, but this hurted Makio even more.

Anyone knows where I can find the Manga? I’m looking everywhere but can’t find an english version of the manga.…
The manga In the Apartment has two volumes and only the first 4 chapters of the first volume has an english translation.

The remaining of the chapters and vol 2 has a portuguese translation. I can send you the links if you want.

Hopefully both volumes will be translated in the future because of the drama.

I think this reveals how different this show can be perceived if looked from a different perspective. In my opinion…
@Yukii_13 Love the carefree way you responded to my reply. Thank you for this.

I love to talk with people who know to be respectful to other people opinion while giving reasonable arguments to why they think different.

Mieko did liked Makki more than Eiji, this is revealed in ep 8 more.

In my opinion, because Mieko was wrong in the first place to sugest it and because Eiji didn't turned down the offer from the beginning ( because this was something related to him, it was because his father were against their relationship and wanted a grandchildren) they are the ones in the wrong from the beginning.

It will be revealed in ep 8 why Mieko did all that she did. She did have some selfish reasons too and in my opinion Eiji deserves his fate.

I think is possibls the last eps will change your mind about this.

Makio was wrong for running away, but the other two were selfish too for not taking in consideration how he is really feeling about this.

Eiji come across as a coward to me and i was relieved to see that Makio didn't end up with him. I really liked how the drama ended and now i am really curious to hear your opinion about the last eps.
