When i read ep 5 i was, what ep 5, more eps aired and i didn`t know? Is a bit funny.

I also replied to that comment comparing this drama with Sei No Gekiyaku, because it was just too ridiculous. Like, this is common sense, how could you made a connection like this. And they are also some people who see S/M relationship traits in Hira and Kiyoi interaction and still wishes for the relationship to go in that direction, even when i mentioned the relationship will definitely don`t go in that direction.

GOD, I Loved both seasons of Friendzone so much, why did they decided to stop there, ugly cries.
Light one me don`t have a really a serious love triange, because when Tae Kyung chose the person who he ends up with, he has already moved on from the person he loved originally, he didn`t played with anyone hearts. Also the two love rivals of his knew of each other and were ever upfront on the pursuit of Tae Kyung, so is not as annoying love triangle as you think, i really wasn`t bothered by this.
And yesl i spoiled myself with what will most likely happen in UK in the future eps from as many sources as i could find, i even listened to the audio drama, where i understand just about 30% of what it happens. What can i do, when i am obsessed with something i have the need to know the characters as completely as i can. I spoiled myself, but the drama still manage to surprise me every week, the cinematography and acting in this drama is especially good, it feels like it was a while since i watched a drama so well filmed.

Yes, KIETA HATSUKOI is not that good, is really overrated a lot here in MDL too, and i roll my eyes when i see people praise the drama to the moon and back, but everyone is different, of course dramas like this will not be liked a lot by "old" bl drama watchers like us. Is still not as bad as some Thailand bl dramas, but yes compared to what Japan has released in the last two years, is at the bottom of the list quality wise. But, like i said the source material is the fault here, the story is really childish, and the people who this drama is expected to cater to will enjoy it.
I liked Light one me, but not a lot, i will not ever rewatch it, we have a bit of different tastes. I tought it has a complex and deep enough story, at least compared with other school dramas Thailand released and the cinematography and quality overall is also better. I decided to check it because it was the first bl drama that Korea made where the story takes place the majority of time in school, but i was disappointed by the last three episodes, it looked like it would explore the relationship more, but it never did, this is why i give it a lower rating than what i wanted initially.
I didn`t give up on Thailand dramas exactly two years ago, it was about one year and a half- to almost two years. I think it was the first half of last year, after i watched 2gether, which has disappointed me in the end quite a bit, and then when i checked Love by chance 2 and The My Gear And Your Gown and all the dramas that were realeased in that period, i just had enough, my frustration has gone to the roof.
I do check sometimes what dramas Gun Atthaphan and Singto choose to act in, and give them i chance if i like them. I really liked Theory of love , in my head, subjectivelly it was the last drama i really liked from Thailand. I also liked a lot how Singto acted in Sotus, Sotus S and Friendzone, but i don`t like everything he acts in. I also might check Between us- to see the continuation of the story of Win and Team since i already started watching their story in Until We Meet Again. I also check on Fluke Natouch dramas, as i really like him as an actor after watching him over the years.
Hope you enjoy UK until the end. It has a novel that started being translated recently and an audio drama ( in japanese) if you want to listen to it. The story is much more dark and complex in this moment that people think too, and i think the characters are misunderstood a lot. Is a pity that is not more popular yet, but i will believe starting with ep 4, a lot of people will change their mind about the drama.

Yes. I agree with you, especially Kare ga Boku ni Koishita Wake and Be love, they are a disaster, like i don`t see why they need to make them. But every country has every year some really bad bl dramas released, even Korea- Nobleman Ryu's Wedding is really bad, and Wish You: Your Melody From My Heart, Color rush and Mr. heart aren`t that impressive either.
But still, what JAPAN is releasing every year is not as bad as Thailand and Taiwan, especially in the last two years, like almost everything Thailand released lately are stories that are catered to young teens, only people of that age can enjoy them, and the quality is really bad compared to what Korea and Japan release every year overall.
At least Japan has released in recent years more mature and diverse dramas and movies like Life senjou no bokura, Cheery magic, Cornered cheese dreams of mouse, Restart After Come Back Home, Pornographer drama series and movies, Kieta Hatsukoi is not the best that Japan has released, but is still good enough taking into consideration the source material who is a manga who is catered to teens and don`t have a lot of things going on, UK looks it will go in a good direction. Japan has also released in the past decent enough movies, the quality of the movies has improved lately, they started casting popular actors in movies, like Furukawa Yuki in Restart After Come Back Home, and Okura Tadayoshi in Cornered cheese dreams of mouse and they are releasing more and more dramas in the last two years than in the past, almost everything indicate that things are going in a good direction, and it`s most likely more and more content will be released in the future from Japan.
Honestly, i`ve given up in watching bl dramas from Thailand for almost two years now, because i was disappointed over and over by the dramas they made, they can make as many bl dramas as they want and over-saturate the market, i will still not watch them ( and in the past the dramas i watched the most were from Thailand, but they improved very little, why should i waste my time).
For me, even if Japan will hypopthetically release one drama and one movie in a year, i am still content with it if is good, because i realised that usually the movies and dramas from Japan makes a big impression on me and stay in my memory for a long time. Like i can`t explain just how obsessed i was with Cornered cheese dreams of mouse and Cheery magic and a lot of other japanese productions when they were released, like it was the only think i could think about, and now i am very similarly obsessed with UK hahahahsa.
And HI AGAIN, i think we didn`t talked since i made that minireview about Faraway wanderers in Word of honor comment section, because i was trying to convince you to read the novel.
Don`t take my words seriously, i wasn`t trying to change your mind or something, i just have more time to spare, and i tought i will share my opinion on this, and give you a different perspective.

WOA. All that you wrote is really accurate. Is like you know the story beforehand because you read the novel. This is the most spot on analyze on the characters and what`s going on in the novel.
I know what happens in the novel because of some info some people shared here, and by reading a review on the audio drama and listening to the audio drama by making use of my minimal knowledge of japanese, but i can`t describe this as well as you did really.
Like some people has mentioned, after ep 3, the story will have a time skip where the characters do mature a bit, and i will not say more.
But even without the info i come across, is really obvious both characters are not the normal characters that a lot of people imagine to be, and being judged as they are acting this way just because, like there is not reason behind, it comes across like people finding reasons to dislike the drama.
As you said, the characters are deeply flawed, their insecurities can be seen from miles away. They both have really big weaknesses, Hira even more than Kiyoi, i don`t know why everyone is pointing fingers at Kiyoi.
Maybe because i know how the story unveils in the future, but Hira insecurity runs deep, especially when it comes to Kiyoi, and is obvious he has been this insecure for a lot of years, before meeting Kiyoi. Kiyoi at least has his limits, knows when something is acceptable or not, and knows when to stop. Hira, on the other side has some weird habits and toughts that are hard to get rid of, and is not easy getting along with this kind of person, not ever mention being a lover with.

Yes, it was obvious anyway, but ep 2 kind of confirmed it. Anyway ep 2 was somethng else, it has passed a long time since i laughed so hard.

Yep, if i want toxic, grey or dark stories i also go for japanese bl dramas and movies, but also japanese productions in general, their crime/invest dramas are also amazing.

Yes. You`re right, especially because Imagase love towards Kyoichi is really similar to that of Hira, and because is also initially an one-sided, kind of obsessed love. Even TCMDOC don`t go to the extreme that Sei no gekiyako goes, so i think this kind of comment is totally unreasonable/out of place.

Yep. This is why i love japanese dramas and movies in general the most , not only the bl dramas and movies they make, even more than the ones made in Korea. The Japan cinematography and editing skills are really underrated among bl fans. But it seems this will change in the future, as i observed more and more people are discovering how wonderful japanese dramas can be.

Both OST`s are good, but this song sounds really different and unique. I really didn`t like that much both songs when i listen them for the first time, but they have really grown on me.
