The longest promise has finished filming recently, i think about two months ago, it will take a while until is released, maybe second part od 2022 or 2023.
The thing is, from what i observed, the chinese platforms release sometime trailers of the dramas that just finished filming, giving the impression that they will be released soon, when is definitely not the case and it will take a long time. The best exemple is ALON- a trailer was released more than a year ago, and we have nothing. Or the drama Agarwood of Yang Zi- some people think it will be released soon, but it will not, as it has also wrapped up recently too.

Yep. All bl japanese animes resemble each other. Especially the bl animes in recent years, it has a similar quality and style. I know a lot of good bl animes released recently, and it seems Japan releases more and more in recent years, in improved quality too. I found the anime of Given to be much more touching and funny than the live action.

There are some good japanese bl anime released recently. Glad you returned to watch anime again. I recommend the anime series named Given and movie anime continuation, you will find them in the same website ( search Given). Is based on a manga, who has a drama adaptation named Given too, released this year too.

It has 12 eps this season. But the manga is very long, about 10 volumes, so if they want to, they can make more seasons. They sometimes do multiple seasons for anime too, so maybe we get lucky. The next ep is always released every sunday ( 1 ep at week), and in the website i send you is added subbed sunday but very late, or monday. I usually watch it monday, as i don't bother to check when the ep is added sunday.

Not only this mdl page works more and more hard as time goes by, the links don`t always can be accessed using the mobile app, especially in long posts, so i had to make the post again.

Tencent can`t be really trusted in keeping his words when it comes to the dramas that they hint that they will be released soon, but i saw something related with this.
Sana Joanne posted something a few minutes ago, but i recommend keeping the expectations low, so as not get disappointed again.

I also read something that is good news in a way regarding what will happen with danmei novels. Someone has translated an announcement jjwxc has made and has shared some information she has come across in danmei novels community in reddit

Is the same name, but is the japanese name being literally translated. Every japanese movie and anime title also has this japanese literal translation . If you check the section Also known as, from this MDL page - you will find this name there. The anime can be found using this name, and not using the movie english name.

Both the movie and the anime is adapted from a manga named SANKAKU MADO NO SOTOGAWA WA YORU, maybe this will make you understand better. The japanese literally translation of the name is always present in every adaptation, this is a rule from what i observed.

The anime is still airing and the next eps are always updated every sunday or eventually monday.I don`t know the translator website or the official website where the anime is posted, so if you don`t mind, make do with this.

The ones that pass censorship more easily from what i know are the idol modern dramas aka modern romance drama catered to young people. Xianxia, wuxia aka dramas based on cultivation novels pass censorship the most easily too, as long as they aren't too violent. The dramas that don't pass censorship easily are: 1. crime/mystery dramas because of the violent content. 2. historical dramas, and by this i refer to really historical, based on real history, or even if not based on real history, it has too much violent content or content that they deem as problematic, or that has high probability to attract too much attention, and they fell is a threat to the government ( this is why Story of Yanxi Palace was taken down from official websites). The majority of dramas that won't pass censorship easily will pass in the end, but it would take at much more time to be aired than others, and is possible because of multiple rounds of censorships, it may be butchered.

NOPE. Just post-production stuff. From what i know, depending what kind of genre the drama has and if the story can be hard/ easy to pass censorship, the time a drama take to obtain the broadcast license, which includes passing censorship can take even more time than the post-production period, this is why i really think they are 0% chances of this drama airing this year.

Nope. It is rumoured it will air next year. The drama just finished filming last month, no way it will year this year, is just impossible. I actually don't follow BG dramas, but i just come across news about this drama, because of the actors involved. Is a xianxia drama, it will need at least 4-6 months of post-production

When it comes to manga adaptations, anime adaptattions are almost always better than a movie and dramas adaptation, and i know this from experience.

Rumours surroundind danmei LA adaptations are much more hard to come lately.
The last rumours i come across are Eternal faith changing the director and resumming filming, who are reliable.
And some unreliable news, that i didn`t wanted to post here, since they are unreliable rumours and i didn`t wanted to share them in a public space like this, and i only shared them between my close friends, but since you asked i will tell you.
There were some rumours about a week ago, when the novels of Priest that has LA adaptations were getting locked, that WINNER IS KING is the only danmei LA adaptation that at that point has passed the new restrictions that unofficially has be added for danmei LA adaptations and is the only one ready to be aired when things quiet down, while no news about A league of nobleman ALON) and Immortality can be found. If those news are true, the chances of ALON airing this year is also low.
So because of this, the rumours are that because WIK is ready to air, Priest novels were targeted initially more strongly- for the drama WIK to air smoothly. But from what i know, MDZS and 2ha are also locked now, or some chapters from the novels at least.
Anyway, they are unreliable rumours, that`a why i didn`t wanna post about it.
If i come across any important rumours, especially credible ones regarding any danmei drama, i will post about them, don`t worry.

I want to back up what Jingyan said with some info i know
The first season of the drama was bromance based on a original script.
When the first season aired, people didn`t know what is the deal of the drama. For a while it was believed to be a bl drama based on a original script, but in the end it become apparent that the story will go in the direction where one of the main characters end up with another main female character. In the end from what i remember one of the main lead end up with the female lead. I still remember how this drama has got a lot of backlash for this, but the drama was succesful enough in China.
The ss2 of the drama will started filming this month, and while no one knows what this drama will be, i personally think is a continuation of the first season. It don`t make any sense for the drama to be a remake of the first season, maybe another version with a different script if the rumours point in this direction.
