Title Word of Honor Spoiler
I don’t know why but I have a hunch that this is going to have a sad ending and of course I don’t want that…
Yep, @Day-Oui said all that you need to know. We all hope the screenwriter won't give`us a sad ending after taking so much effort for the drama to have a content that is similar with the one from the novel to this extent, because until now they retained a lot of what happens in the novel.

I have been wondering if Wen KeXing is that flirty in the book as he is on the show?
Yes, he is as flirty and as much of a stalker as in the drama, at least in the beginning, when they meet, but in the novel he is much more bold and shameless with his words, as what he is coming from his mouth didn`t have to be censored. The scenes where he is flirty are not as many as in the drama too, and when the relationship develop more Wen Kexing become more tactful and are using them only when he wants something from his lover hehehe.

I don`t think so, my intuition is really telling me this will not happen, be more optimistic.
I know, but why not show them actually meeting, i was a bit dissapointed, i will never understand why it had to be like that.
And i agree, this is what i`m asking too, nothing more, i don`t think is too much.

I did write some minimal unimportant spoilers of what happens in the novel, so for the persons who didn`t watch at least the first eps of the drama or hadn`t read the novel and don`t want any spoilers, it would be better to not read this comment.

To be honest, the novel has it`s tragic moments too, Priest is the kind of writer that as many as happy and funny moments it gives to her characters, they made them go through as many equal or more hardships.

What the characters go through in the novel, and what decissions they had to made in the past and are doing in the present can be hard to read, so it make you feel that as long as the characters continue to live you will be happy, but is painful to read how much the characters are suffering because of they own actions, they own demons, how they try to overcome the dark side of their characters, what they have to sacrifice to make the right choices so they could survive. Zishu and Wen Kexing are both not good people in the first place, they both have blood on their hands, they`re broken, lonely, are not as perfect as they seem, and feel they can`t find a reason good enough to live and will not try to live at all cost if they are facing a life and death situation.

By meeting each other they each gave hope to the other, motivation and will to try to make good deeds, to compensate for all bad things they`ve done in the past.
I`m sure in the drama too, both characters will be tested and put in a lot of dangerous situations, especially Wen Kexing, he will probably almost die ( the scene in the trailer where he falls in that hole, it resonates to me with an incident that put his life in danger at the end of the novel), but they save each other.
Those moments can be hard to watch and it would make you hurt a lot more than a bad ending, and it should be enough as a compensation to give us a happy ending. The ending might not be exactly as the novel, but as long as they are alive and still meeting each other it should be enough, it`s still more than enough than what happened with Guardian and that ending of Untamed, that i still don`t know why they ended the drama like this. For people who want more, they can read the novel.
Maybe things may have changed and they will allow the airing of an ending as similar as with the nove as they can, we will know when it will end. It too unrealistic to give an open or a bad ending to all the dramas that are danmei adaptations.
It`s too early to worry about a bad ending, it can take away from the joy of enjoying the drama.

I really love th e novel and the drama, but i have to stop coming here, because it`s stressing me out. I wish people will try to start dicussions centered more about the drama and novel, real discussions, with more few and large posts that actually makes people happy and worth reading, and refrain from asking things that can be found by scrolling down or searching on the page.
If things continue like this, the valuable and beautiful comments will be lost in the sea of repetitive and frustrating comments, and it`s a pity.
I`m sorry the most for the people who will discover the drama later or after it finishes airing, and seeing that is hard to find a comment that make them feel something.

Very good news for those who are curently reading the novel and those who want to wait until the novel is completely translated until they begin reading, OMG, i`m so happy, the novel has been picked`up to be translated starting from chapter 68 until the end, including the extra chapter by another translator named Chichi, who is a really good translator, and he makes updates to the chapters of the novels he translates quite frequently, i can affirm this because i read other novels translated by this group. He will add the chapters in novelupdates as the previous translators, yesterday it added in NU chapter 68 and 69.

Just imagine if it was one ep per week. We would die for sure
Yes, in my case i`m happy with how they are releasing the eps. For exemple kdramas has a release of 2 eps a week, thai, taiwansese bl dramas and japanese dramas has 1 ep per week, when you compare, having a release of 4-5 eps a week or even more sometimes
for chinese dramas is really very good.

Damn, what a f***ing disgusting person he is. I'll have to drop the drama even tho I never drop dramas if his…
They will do that, don`t worry, they will not continue airing his scenes, in all kdramas that has scandals like this, they cut all the scenes of the actor involved, or having another actor portray his character, or kill his character and change the storyline. I don`t think they will cancel the drama, but thy will lose a lot of money for all the reshots they will have to do, this is one of the few dramas i saw that is badly affected because of the scandal of an actor, being that they filmed almost all the episodes.

Yes. This is how his character is in the novel, it`s not because ZZH is not doing his best. I think the character of Zishu in the drama was changed to be much less cold than in the novel and more charming.
He is a man of few words in the novel , who don`t like to socialise and talk to people if he don`t have to ( and introvert) and very blunt and sharp with his words. The replies he gives to some of the flirtly words of Wen Kexing in the novel are not that interesting like in drama, on the contrary, his replies gives the impression of "i can`t be bothered, whatever", kudos to the screenwriter.
He really gives the impression that he has a very serious, cold personality (after all he killed people for a living, of course that had an impact on him), and is not willing to let anyone in for more than half of the novel, because he knows he will die soon.
He will change, in the novel and in the drama, but at most he is letting is guard down and is more approachable with the ones who he trusts and he gets close too, towards other people he will behave the same as before.
You have to have patience, he is who he is, a person won`t change immediately after someone shows interest in him, it has taken Wen Kexing a lot of time in the novel to make him trust him and accept him.
They make a couple with such a charming dynamic because of their different personalities.

I really love the novel and the drama, but i have to stop coming here, because it`s stressing me out. KBS is now searching for another actor to replace Ji Soo as On Dal.Who do you think could be available?
Like @timmyrate sugested, Lee Do Hyun is a really good choice, if he don`t have another drama that is filming now and the crew can get him. He has already acted in an historical setting in Hotel del Luna where he was very impressive. The only problem might be the buget they have to get him, he`s getting really popular lately.

I heard that originally, the casting was different. Does anyone know who was supposed to play the main leads?…
This is the comment posted by another person a few days ago.
From AvenueX's First Impression video, she mentions that the drama faced some issues with filming (e.g. pandemic) and the original leads left. So, I did some searching and it seems that it was supposed to be Mao Zi Jun (茅子俊) as ZZS and Li Dai Kun (李岱昆) as WKX. Although Li Dai Kun is not the lead, we can still see him as the Scorpion King (蝎王), which is the role Gong Jun originally auditioned for. What a blessing to have Zhang Zhe Han and Gong Jun as the leads. Seems like fate.

If they already finished filming, then most likely will broadcast the drama despite the accusation, right?
Like i said , i don`t matter what contract was made, they can`t allow his scenes to air, he was the one who did them wrong in the first place, by making trouble to the company because of this scandal. If i`m not wrong, a few years ago, they have been some scandals with actors that affected their dramas airing, so they put a clause to the contract that the actor has to pay a fine to if he is involved in a serious scandal for the period the drama airs. And this matter don`t depend of what they can or what they cannot do, they are rules inside the entertainment industry that applies to incidents like this, and all of them were handled similarly, this drama will not be handled differently than what happened with the others, it was not even a single exception with a drama that continued airing as he was filmed, without suffering changes, when a cast member was involved in a scandal like this.

Not, they will not, i assure you, they will have to do some changes to it, like cuting all Ji Soo character scenes before the next episode or they will be taking the drama down from airing. This is a serious matter, especially that sexual assault accusations, all korean dramas that has scandals like this, they cut all the scenes of the person accused, continued airing the drama while making changes to the story, or having another actor replace and continue with his character. The drama will get a lot of hate if it will be aired like this, the rating will drop a lot, and they have to appease the victims, and the people who will get angry at the crew of the drama, if it will continue airing without changes, and they are usually a lot of haters who unite together online, even if he is not proved as quilty until the next episode airs. Trust me, i like to read news about actors, idols, and kdramas, so i know a lot.

You don`t know how quickly korean viewers cancel a drama if the production team don`t take measures to cut any…
Yes, i`m not on Ji Soo side , i have a feeling that he is really guilty of some accusations after reading about all the people that are accusing him, i don`t even like him, i`m writing in general, at how the public in Korea react to scandals of all kind, being dating scandals, drugs, cheating, bullying, rude behavior etc.
They are some people that don`t give a shit, the ones who take the stance of always defending their actor or idol they are a fan, just because they like them too much and the ones that leaves hate comments to any actor and idol immediately after an article hint that they could have done something bad, like bullying, sexual assault, or even cheating, or just disagreaments or rude behaviour can get you cancelled in Korea. The people in Korea judge the actors/idols too easily, and very rarely they give a second chance for a celebrity to start from scratch and become popular again. And frequently even if they are proved innocent, the celebrities are not considered the same as before, they are still judged. There it`s better to avoid at all cost a scandal like this, because it`s hard to comeback from something like this. It`s not normal, in other countries, the people don`t care, lol, celebrities take drugs and have countless cheating scandals and still their acting and singing are loved as always. In Korea something like that can ruin you.
I don`t know why they are not more lenient and being more forgiving towards celebrities there, the only reason i can think is the environment they live is very stressful and they take their frustrations on people that they can seem are more happy, succesful and rich than them,,, and celebrity seems they have them all, so at the first single mistake they want to destroy them. The old generation of actors are not helping to make change in the industry too, because some of them have the same pretentions on their younger actors as the public have. I have read an interview of an older actor that said that actors should always try to be perfect in any way, being acting, the interaction with everyone, the way they speak, this way of living can be very stresfull, if he can do`it, okay, but don`t give an advice like this, the actors are human too, i was so dissapointed. I hope to see a day when personal things that happen in the life of celebrities don`t affect their professional life. I saw groups of idol singers that losed a lot of fans, because of a scandal of a member, and it`s to ufortunately or actors that are accused of things, are proved innocent, but they would not get the same opportunities as before. It`s like the public don`t make the same mistakes as the celebrities they are mocking, a bunch of hypocrites.

hahaha, i`m glad i made you laugh, Kang Ha Neul is such a good actor and is known in the industry as being very kind, polite and hardworking, like actress Kim So-yeon, so i`m a bit disappointed that such a good drama it`s affected by such incident, it`s a pity.
