Somewhat big comment:So because of quarantine there's nothing else to do. I decided to actually watch episode…
Agree! I will say, as far as Green goes, you’re right that he’s drawn in the same vein as Bar. And not that his actions are more acceptable, but I think the actors’ portrayal and reception makes it easier (for lack of a better word) to watch. They have better chemistry and Tine seems more exasperated with Green whereas Bar seems flat out repulsed by Gun (until he announces he’s not but he still looks uncomfortable saying it haha). I also think Bar’s actions are a little creepier, like pulling Gun onto his lap and holding him there (I shudder every time I think about that lol) and telling Bar he’s not allowed to talk to someone who likes him even though Bar made it clear that he doesn’t like the friend back. Green mostly just followed (stalked?) Tine around and didn’t, to me, come across as pushy as Gun. For me it’s not that Gun is unattractive, but that he doesn’t have the charisma or charm to pull this role off, and Bar’s stubborn, rigid reactions are only making it worse and more awkward.
I find this whole situation very sad. The premise of this show was great. But now its become apparent that story…
I wondered this same thing but someone said that it’s actually quite common to begin airing before filming is even finished, which I’m guessing happened here. They said that’s why sometimes they can lengthen or shorten a series. I’d hope the script is at least complete, so that they have some final endpoint in mind, but no, apparently filming still goes on.
Y’all need to stop hating on the SaiZon fans expressing their thoughts and disappointment in here (I’m neutral…
Ok, some not all. Sorry—I was getting too caught up and speaking too broadly. Really just wanting people to understand how the SaiZon fans feel and look at things from their perspective too.
The way I'm ten times more interested in Man/Type and Mil/Phukong storylines than the main couple lol
Definitely here for Man/Type (still loving Tine and Wat the most though lol). Mike (actor for Man) reminds me of Gunsmile (voice, demeanor, special something) so I’m kind of living my Gunsmile BL fantasies vicariously through Mike/Man lmao (I’m also just more drawn to that pairing over Frank and Drake, so it’s not 100% weird lol)
I like this series a lot, but... does anyone else find it a little odd that Sarawat is suddenly all "Tine, I don't…
Hmmmmmm I think he’s definitely caught on to the fact that Wat feels some type of way towards him that may be more than platonic, and maybe this has caused him to have some confused feelings himself? Like he doesn’t completely understand how he feels about Wat and he’s working through that.
You said, “I hate seeing people being disrespectful towards the producers, directors, writers, [subbers], actors’ efforts!” and I’ve not seen that aside from maybe one or two comments, which seems insignificant to prompt such an impassioned comment. I’ve mostly seen criticisms and critiques in the form of opinions, so that’s what I was asking about. If you could point me to some specific comments that you felt were disrespectful, I’m interested to see what you mean.
You say you’re not here to start drama, but you’re calling people “entitled,” “whiny,” and “disrespectful” in a rather heated comment because they have different opinions than you and/or are saying things with which you disagree. And voicing disappointments about the show doesn’t mean people don’t still like it. I’m sure the ones who absolutely hate it have and will drop it.
I’m not looking for drama either; just trying to have a civil conversation where multiple viewpoints are expressed. Like you said, it’s just a show. It’s not that serious. No need for anyone to get so pressed over it.
3 episodes in and I’m reeeeaaallly enjoying it! Of course I love me some Joo Ji Hoon <3 and I’m really liking Kim Hye Soo as his opposite. Their dynamic is so good and the way KHS’s character always one-ups JJH’s brings me great amusement. Love the little twists, and I’m looking forward to seeing where this goes!
Also you’re telling people to stop watching if it makes them miserable. Why don’t you stop reading comments if they make you miserable? Someone posts the links in the discussion above so you don’t even have to scroll down and read comments in order to access the links. I am not trying to come for you, so please don’t mistake my tone as being hostile (which I know happens with written communication hence the disclaimer). There’s some disrespect going on, but it’s not all from the people you’re addressing in your comment.
Y’all need to stop hating on the SaiZon fans expressing their thoughts and disappointment in here (I’m neutral since I like both equally so don’t @ me). As if y’all wouldn’t be wishing for more FTTT if the editing choices were reversed. It’s easy to say “sit down, shut up, and just enjoy it” when your fave is getting most of the screen time (whether they are in fact or whether it feels like it because of the editing). Stop dismissing their thoughts as invalid. I’m not trying to start anything, but I just had to get that out there after reading some of these comments. The internet should not be an echo chamber. Y’all act like people can’t have a different opinion from you. And most of the complaints ultimately go to the editors/directors, not the couple anyway, which in turn goes to overall enjoyment and appraisal of the show. I don’t mean for this to come off as aggressive. It’s just disheartening and frustrating to read some of these comments.
I think you nailed it, that's exactly the problem with this show. I could deal with the absence of a plot, the…
Yeah! I also feel like the friends are more into Gun and Bar as a couple than Bar is. So it just makes it feel like Bar got together with Gun because his (Bar’s) friends and Gun pestered him into it. (Side note: are French actors awkward? Haha I’ve only seen one French movie recently and a few older ones in high school during French class).
What??? How can they begin airing a show before they're even done filming it?? I'm not doubting you--that is just…
Yeah, I guess that makes sense the more I think about it. Still crazy to me lol but I guess as long as they have at least a rough idea of where the story is going and how it's going to end, then continuing to film after airing isn't that much of a pediment. Though it still kind of felt like episode 9 here was an ad hoc addition once the showrunners saw just how big the ZeeSaint fanbase was. Knowing now that shows aren't completely pre-filmed makes me think so even more haha

Uhhh okay. Yeah I guess I'm not familiar with how shows are made and that it's so crazy to me that a show will begin airing before it's been finalized. Doesn't mean I don't watch them?? I guess as long as the script is complete it doesn't matter too much anyway.
I could see why. Plot pretty much doesn't exist at this point besides Bon trying to get in Duen's pants.I think…
Yeah, this episode is giving me slice-of-life vibes like that style of manga you mentioned and I'm more of a plot-driven type of girl (even though BLs are usually weaker in that department, just saying haha, so my expectations are usually lower than if I'm watching a Kdrama). I also just can't help but feel that I'm missing something, like the pacing for Bon and Duen is off and maybe too fast. I don't know...something about the writing.
I'm sorry but the character Gun is so cringey and gross (no not looks-wise, personality-wise). He's a creep. He's pushy, forceful, entitled, controlling, and toxic. Sorry--but I really hate him. If Bar could at least act like he's into it, it wouldn't be so bad. But Bar's constant look of discomfort, sourness, and flat-out refusal makes Gun's advances even more unpleasant to watch. Like dude, take a hint! He does not like you!! Move on. We've all seen couples where one is flirtatiously pushy and the other may not be interested but is either clearly playing hard to get or does little things that show they don't really mind the attention. But I've not seen any of that yet, and I honestly think it's Folk's portrayal of Bar and the fact that the two mains have no chemistry whatsoever (well, it's probably the writing and directing too). Bar "says" things that are supposed to make us think he likes what Gun is doing, but he doesn't deliver in the emotions department to make me actually believe him. That's not to say Folk is a bad actor per se; I just don't think this part is right for him (and I don't think Win is right for Gun either).
