Title My Engineer
May be in the minority here, but episode 2 left me unimpressed. Weak plot (but I could see the beginning of one towards the middle/end), tropes we've all seen before, and filler that left me bored. Hoping it'll pick up as the series goes on.

There’s a rumor going around that according to staff they didn't include any SaifaiZon scenes in this episode…
What??? How can they begin airing a show before they're even done filming it?? I'm not doubting you--that is just so crazy to me. Like, how do you edit and finalize a show if you don't have all the material yet? If that's true, then it makes me think that this beach scene was made after the show began airing and the creators saw how much people loved Saint and Zee so they milked that by adding episode 9 (and maybe 10?). Either that or just really poor time management skills, which honestly doesn't surprise me either given how choppy the editing is.

I loved the ep 9 because I ship both Saizon (saifah and zon) and fightxtutor so I don't really mind it if only…
That’s one of my pet peeves about Thai BL (and I guess comical lakorns in general): the sound effects!! For me, it has to be done in moderation and it should be clever. Too much and it starts to sound childish and unnecessary. Let the actors and writing make me laugh, not the dumb sound effects.

Can't believe how many people are watching this with a stopwatch in hand to count the screen time of this or that…
For me it’s not so much one couple getting more screen time than the other, it’s that the editing and cutting and pasting of scenes is rather bad. We only get one episode per week, and when one or two in a row are dedicated mainly to one couple, by the time the other couple comes back in the picture you’ve already forgotten what’s going on with them. It makes for difficult viewing and it’s rather jarring to be pulled so sharply in either direction. The format would be much better if there was roughly equal (or at least proportionate) screen time in each episode rather than overall.

I also think it’s fine for people to express disappointment that they’re not seeing their preferred couple as much or that the editing could be better. And I don’t think you need a stopwatch when it’s so clear that one couple gets more attention than the other, despite both being labeled as the mains. Just as you enjoy the hotness that is Tutor and Fighter, they want to enjoy Zon and Saifah.

Maybe they should have just made two separate shows for the two "main" couples. One episode focusing more on one…
Yeah they definitely should have made two separate series (even miniseries would have been fine), because that’s what it feels like we’re watching anyway. It’s not even the screen time editing; it’s like each couple has two very distinct tones. I’m guess it’s because there are two writers, so probably one for each couple’s story.

When most of episode 9 could have been completely discarded without having any effect on the plot whatsoever,…
Yeah I definitely think Saint’s popularity is driving it. I don’t think it would have been as bad/noticeable had the screen time been distributed more evenly. It does feel more jarring when most of the episode is devoted to only one of the couples. But there are certainly worse qualities that a BL could have!

For real, you could tell me that what I was watching was a real couple and I wouldn’t even question it. Zee and Saint have amazing chemistry; they’re so natural and comfortable around one another.

When most of episode 9 could have been completely discarded without having any effect on the plot whatsoever, I think it’s safe to say the show runners prefer FTTT and SaiZon are less important in terms of not getting the same treatment/dedication/attention lol. I’m not a diehard shipper of either couple; I enjoy both about the same for different reasons. But that’s my objective opinion on it.

I hope so and would absolutely love that, but my expectations are low since I’ve been hurt like this before with other series lol

Exactly! Why even include these side couples if they aren't going to do anything substantial with them. All it does is create hope and expectations that result in disappointment. -_-

That bar scene...the moment Fong kicked his shoe off I knew it was going to be good. And then he kept trying to fight Tine....lmao I could not with his ridiculousness XD

When Tine took his shirt off, all I could say is, "What is a cute baby face like you doing having a body like that!?" lol no wonder Sarawat is always staring at him with that thirst in his eyes (and yes I love his intense stares too!!).

No offense but i would like to see more Blue&Dew and Japan&TanThai than this main couple who repeating the same…
I am 100% on board with this. Blue and Dew have that dynamic that I always wish for in a main couple but is always given to a side couple without enough screen time (they remind me of Mick and Ohm from Love Sick, who I am also dying to see more of), and I just absolutely adore the way Tanthai interacts with Japan and think their relationship is so cute and interesting. Wishing in vain that they'll get a series or something of their own. One can dream lol

Ok I'd be lying if I said I did not find this episode immensely hot and sexy (Part 4 should be required viewing for all BL actors in the making haha). But this episode made it *so clear* that the director, writers, and whoever else do not care about SaiZon nearly as much as FTTT (if it wasn't clear already). Let's be real: this episode added minimally to the overall story and mostly served as fluff and fanservice for the viewers and ZeeSaint shippers. They could have cut about 50% of those scenes and done something else with different characters. And I only note this because, like many, I'm frustrated at the disproportionate editing and screen time, and while watching I couldn't help but think how some of that time could have been spent developing SaiZon or any other part of the story. This episode felt like that bonus chapter at the end of a manga where the mangaka gives her characters a fun little adventure to do on the side without taking away any time from the main chapters (although in this case I felt like time was taken away from the story).

Honestly, I wonder if it was anyone other than Saint palying Tutor, would the screen time be disproportionate…
I think I prefer SaiZon too. Maybe it's because I feel they're being unjustly shoved to the side, but I also think they're really adorable and their story had the potential to be something special and unique, since it stems from the sister's fanfiction. FTTT are hot, but their story feels like so many other BLs we've seen (and honestly this latest episode, while enjoyable, was ultimately just a bunch of fluff without a strong plot, which I tend to disfavor but so often see in BL *sigh*).

That's interesting about the editing and cutting certain scenes! Now that you say it, I can see them doing that due to the addition of Saint to the cast.
