that ending scene of ep 5...I...cried with Da-hae. I kinda understood what she felt.
That moment when Gwi-ju found her in the present and especially the moment when he would find her in the past...gave her enough hope probably to live by, and still think that maybe her life is still worth it no matter how small that worth maybe.
I am not sure about you, but I definitely feel their chemistry as early as ep 2. I'm so rooting for them. People in MLD tend to be always critical of FL anyways and say thay they don't have chemistry when they do.
Okay, so 4 episodes in and I'm OBSESSED. The main couple has great chemistry and loved the sequence when she found out about their powers — especially with bok Gwiju's future self (end of ep 3). The kiss is sexy and their chemistry is overflowing — it's like "BABY, LET THE GAMES BEGIN".
I still find it interesting that FL started as con artist. I'm expecting we get subtle character development overtime and maybe good angst in upcoming episodes! If you don't like her actions, you're not supposed to support her — her being a con artist is part of the plot, it's supposed to be interesting and different. I enjoy all the scenes with her, Gwiju and Ina — she's trying to be close to them because of the con but she's actually allowing the father and daughter to be closer and maybe find herself a "real" family too...soon!
No wonder Ina likes her despite knowing she had still some ill intentions. I particularly liked her scene with Ina when she did her eyebrows — I think that's genuine bond.
Anyway, going to Bok Dong Hee — good riddance on that smallest man who has ever lived LOL. That boyfriend is good for nothing after everything she has done for him and I hope she continues moving forward. Like the comments everywhere, I do hope she and Grace becomes friends! I didn't like the portrayal of her story from first 2 episodes because of the seemingly fat shaming, but it seems like she'll get delicate story and character development and get her confidence back more than losing weight...so, l guess all is good for now!
By the way, I loved all of the analysis regarding Bok Gwi Ju's time travel — they're very interesting and I do hope the show keeps up!
I think I am okay with her current storyline, one has to have some story at the end of the day. But what you said, I also agree it'd be nice but I think the FL would be look like more of a 'hero' like ML character in Taxi driver and the writer didn't want that. Not that it's bad, but I don't know.
Or I can keep watching, since the whole drama has more things in it than just the female lead (like I want to…
If one would also argue morally that even if a person changed after doing an evil thing or a bad deed and even if repentant — s/he still is a bad person because his/her now bad deeds can't be changed and is permanent — then I guess, ALL humans are evil?
Most often than not, we need the concept of redemption and forgiveness if a person is sincerely repentant.
Going back to the show, this is a 12 episode show and a lot can happen. If I don't like a drama, I personally won't shit on anyone else's parade just because it's not my cup of tea. I may give constructive criticism but not hate.

"Also, the same people who "protect" this fictional female character from hate are the ones who bash the good hearted "stereotypical" female leads. One cannot preach when they commit the same mistakes they are trying to fight against." — This is an assumption and generalization.
I myself, I have shared of encounters and arguments here in MDL about FL being typical wherein the FL seemed to be too bland for their taste as FL is too kind or sweet (e.g. The Gyergyong Fairy). There are also lots of drama I loved where people complain about the FL always crying and all saying they're weak — but they're actually mentally strong (e.g. When The Camellia Blooms). There are other times though when the FL character who IS supposed to be strong and smart and gets reduced as a love interest of the ML, and that's why there are some criticisms that are directed to how the FL was written (e.g. The Worst of Evil)
The FL character isn't that TOO MUCH evil < it's subjective not objective. — I agree on you about this one and you might also be right that people who are ready to harm a child is evil. But I won't agrue when the FL's action is forgiveable or not because that wouldn't let us finish this discourse. In my personal opinion, this is just a show that has 12 episodes; this is the character of the FL from the start — she didn't physically harm a child though one could argue about pyschological harm later on, and there are plenty of episodes to shed the layers about the FL and the story about them. She could change across the whole 12 episodes for the better, or become a bad person all throughout and be labeled as "anti-hero" or "villain" in this drama.
People are also allowed to dislike a character, YES — but when many viewers find it amusing that FL characters and even actresses always get hate of any kind, you cannot stop them for complaining about others complaining / disliking a character / collectively hating the characters.
I've finished the first two episodes, and while I'm not that fond of the execution of some of their schemes, I find the drama interesting and characters interesting enough to continue this one. Others who didn't like it upon first watch, can drop this understanding that this isn't a show for them without finding the need to collectively hate a character.

Did you see the comments where some of them are even in capslock? Some comments here are outright so weird and misogynistic that people find the need to correct them.
The FL character isn't that TOO MUCH evil, but the FL character was getting too much hate therefore attracting bad reputation about the show. If people won't correct or at least try to engage then others might not know other perspectives as well.
It's always like this in MDL, there are viewers who quickly trash FL, but you wouldn't see that collective hate on ML characters and even actors.
And I hope they give us REALISTIC ENDING with FL and her family going to JAIL.
I hope you're okay knowing that this is nothing but a story. If you can't handle female characters like that, might as well watch a show with a typical FL — because cleary this is "atypical" family.
Finally, a different female character (based on comments). One with lots of colors and darkness. So tired to see that only male characters get to act like that. As usual, *some* MDL viewers cannot accept this — THAT THIS IS ONLY A STORY.
