For the life of me I can't figure out why this is rated so low.Is it because no one almost gets murdered? Are…
For me I think some people just didn't vibe with it because it's very unlikely of the mainstream kdrama romcom which are loud, very colorful, hot chemistry, etc. β this is more for those who enjoy sweet, simple, fun plots. Those who savor dramas like a cup of coffee. Anyway I loved this one.
so they change Yul "fake BF" scene a lil' to a lighter one (more comedic centric than proper BF introduction they…
I agree with you because I had thoughts myself that he should retrain himself LOL β but seeing that's how it was written on the webtoon with Haena initiating that, it would not be so problematic I guess. π and maybe a little cute too.
I think instead of waiting for the confession to happen, it would benefit others (who don't enjoy the drama as much) to look as the romance part and sweet moments of the leads as the "main plot" because they are the plot β the character interactions are what make this story. They're charming and sweet and vibes was really romantic. The cinematography esp for the first 6 episodes was top-notch.
The only thing that might be a bummer about this nonetheless sweet and fun ongoing drama was the scheduling (which hey mbc you should fixed it) because it kinda slowdowns the story about the curse and the momentum for some viewers. I'll definitely wait for ep 8, though I'm looking at the binge-watching option afterwards π.
ps the one with yul was cute and all, but i agre that it's kinda a little bit uncomfortable what they did on ep 7 but...since that didn't get much highlight than the actual romance and almost played for laughs β i'm just gonna gloss past over it and replay the sweet and funny moments this ep.
pps: the thing was this ep 7 was probably the build up for the Hae na's confession or to him finding out her secret as shared on the preview for ep8.
Firstly this drama do not need 14 episode, there simply not much plot point for it to be that long hence why it…
I think the pacing was okay...maybe because I binge-watched the six ones and I really loved the vibes. Some people aren't watching this solely for cha eun woo because (like myself) it really has a nice vibes for a sweet charming drama. Love the cinematography as well.
Just kinda bummer that mbc is doing it dirty because of 1 ep airing per week.
if there would only be one ep next week again, i feel like i'll just wait for this drama to end and bingewatch π
Anyway like the episode today (also i just wanted to focus on the ml and fl sweet moments)
I agree that yul was so cute lol (but i truly felt slightly uncomfortable that they tried a little to pair up the niece with fl β even though that's just for some laughs)
I'm so loving the vibes of this drama β the coloring and the sweet budding romance! Aaaaah it so looks so peaceful love love love it βΊοΈβΊοΈπ₯°π₯°π Can't wait for next episodes!
I like the ending but I agree with you about Euijeong. I felt she was written more as a device plot to keep the…
Yes β you're right about your explanation about Park Jun Mo's character. He's a determined man and one that won't stop until he finishes something. That's good work ethic, it just felt a little incohorrent to me how his motivations became different every release of new episodes. Looking back, maybe it was actually because some scenes didn't make the cut especially with Euijeong and because of the way Disney+ released the episodes. Nevertheless, it's not a bad drama β it's noir I agree and it was a good one. There's just that some scenes I felt emotionally disconnected on characters' motivation and was forcing myself to feel something about them β I think a little bit more scenes about them esp for the couples like how Jun Mo got many scenes with Haeryeon would probably be enough.
Anyway, as I said Haeryeon's ending with her bodyguard was topnotch and I guess that was the reaction I was waiting for myself when I watched Junmo arresting Gi cheul and the final confrontation. Nevertheless, after reading countless of threads I've appreciated this ending more than before.
do you know which scenes have been cut out? did they talk about them in an interview? I'd love to know more about…
Scenes of Im Se Mi were cut β action scene at ep 9, convesation with Gi Cheul and I don't know if there are others. The background of Jun Mo chasing a criminal was also cut from first episode.
I like the ending but I agree with you about Euijeong. I felt she was written more as a device plot to keep the…
It's truly a shame that the writer didn't show her point of view most of the time and didn't properly utilize her character. Like the writer was afraid that doing so would shift this drama genre to romance, but instead since with little point of view from her and underdeveloped relationships with the two MLs, the actions of the MLs became a little shallow and not as powerful as the scenes should've been. Going back to episode 9 at the hallway, I didn't connect that much with Jun Mo's actions as I expected it before, and I think the main reason is his relationship with his wife is not given the importance it should've had. His motivations as a character continuously shift until the end that I have no choice but to conclude that it's trauma and depression that led him to be mad and empty. From wanting to get respect and equal footing with his wife; to realizing he's actually stupid for signing up for this; to realizing that HE needs to save his wife so HE gets extremely obsessed with this operation; to fighting so hard as not to cheat; from being MORE obsessed to this operation and being mad at everyone else including his wife and wanting this to end; only for him to end their marriage without a proper conversation or scene or any kind of emotional connection betweem the two. I don't know anymore what was his core motivation β I have nothing else but to conclude that it is trauma and depression. At least it fits the the tone until the end, I guess that's the point of this kind of shows.
(I've already watched Romance is a bonus book which is something that remains me of this)
