i think this is what's frustrating me. the logic doesn't line up with me like. the extreme affects on the family and how dangerous it is to even entertain it. i dont think an inherent trust in a partner is particularly great when presented w/ things like this

it's not the end of the world if people dont like her acting. also it's part of the show. and just because someone wins an award that doesn't mean anything. some people mesh with her style and others don't. it's life and this is her job. clearly lots of people enjoy it and that's really great for her, the crew, and the show. it's ok to critique people and maybe people want to watch and enjoy the show? we'll all live.

also a lot of actors styles people don't like. i really do not like her acting style but it doesn't mean it doesn't work for her character or people who haven't been fans since there are different TYPES of acting as well. relax

i don't understand why many want her to stay in the dark and/or delusion and hypnotized by "love" (which is arguably totally false given what we know) but it's pretty dangerous and it's also horrible that this guy you have a id with lies and deceives you for years. no matter what her reaction was she deserves respect and if that means leaving then so be it.

considering it's episode 1 and how the writer writes (from s1 to the show life) i don't think it's possible to judge it as its own piece of work without reflection on these other works if you are talking about the writing since s1 e1 is very similar in terms of pacing, there's just more familiarity here.
while i want this show to stand on its own which means it will be different and have its flaws, highest of highs, and some lows, we have previous material to see the way they want it to flow. it's the first episode. i also don't think there were too many coincidences at all considering this show's previous season is full of coincidences (one of which i HATED for s1.)
also overhype and exaggeration and frustration because of it is purely our internal response to things. like yea people have high expectations but it's been three years. word of mouth is a huge influence and while there are truly some things that i can't stand and think are not good out there there's a reason why it resonates. some friends of mine dont like this show and while it sucks i can't talk to them about it it's okay
sometimes the popularity may make no sense and it's annoying but like what can you do? it's not the way people talk about it that's making a piece of work disappointing. that puts so much pressure on the viewers and also so much pressure on artists which is why they succumb or buckle. or they don't put their talent to use. but take that pressure off yourself as a viewer and the people as creators. we want something great but if it disappoints then so be it. and if it doesn't...amazing.

if you remember first ep of s1 it was the same. i don't want to compare the two bc theyre def gonna be different and i want to take that pressure off but the unraveling of it all almost made me quit it the first time (and it's now one of my fav shows of all time lol.) also this case is totally different so i think it will take longer

personally i thought it flew by too quick and i feel like this storyline is going to be really interesting but i've also seen s1 so many times there's only so many surprises and new things i can discover lmao.

for a lot of people i think the politics kind of outweighed the story and the solutions were too convenient but frankly i loved that. it was really cool to see a much more radical take on policies and shit imo
you have all convinced me but i hate it when men disappoint and so i am worried that i will abhor him lmao but i ended up loving lee chang jun in stranger and their relationship when i wanted him to perish the first time around and theyre one of my fav couples. i will survive!

thank you for explaining this is really illuminating. it pisses me off about charging for free labor and not caring about you all who do this because you want to share with us and the world. i wish i could help with subbing but i only know one other useless language. it pisses me off that they are raking in this much $ in general but can't even do that right. also the nuances are so helpful for these shows (esp the banmal issues my god) but i remember trying to watch watcher on viki in the beginning and the show is very confusing to begin with but the subs were initially UNBEARABLE.
anyway your service is seriously appreciated. thank you for wanting to share and i hope that people don't stop doing this work but get to have fun outside of these BS paradigms or at least go and work at a company to be paid for their labor. genuinely appreciated though
