it's not the end of the world if people dont like her acting. also it's part of the show. and just because someone wins an award that doesn't mean anything. some people mesh with her style and others don't. it's life and this is her job. clearly lots of people enjoy it and that's really great for her, the crew, and the show. it's ok to critique people and maybe people want to watch and enjoy the show? we'll all live.

considering it's episode 1 and how the writer writes (from s1 to the show life) i don't think it's possible to judge it as its own piece of work without reflection on these other works if you are talking about the writing since s1 e1 is very similar in terms of pacing, there's just more familiarity here.
while i want this show to stand on its own which means it will be different and have its flaws, highest of highs, and some lows, we have previous material to see the way they want it to flow. it's the first episode. i also don't think there were too many coincidences at all considering this show's previous season is full of coincidences (one of which i HATED for s1.)
also overhype and exaggeration and frustration because of it is purely our internal response to things. like yea people have high expectations but it's been three years. word of mouth is a huge influence and while there are truly some things that i can't stand and think are not good out there there's a reason why it resonates. some friends of mine dont like this show and while it sucks i can't talk to them about it it's okay
sometimes the popularity may make no sense and it's annoying but like what can you do? it's not the way people talk about it that's making a piece of work disappointing. that puts so much pressure on the viewers and also so much pressure on artists which is why they succumb or buckle. or they don't put their talent to use. but take that pressure off yourself as a viewer and the people as creators. we want something great but if it disappoints then so be it. and if it doesn't...amazing.

thank you for explaining this is really illuminating. it pisses me off about charging for free labor and not caring about you all who do this because you want to share with us and the world. i wish i could help with subbing but i only know one other useless language. it pisses me off that they are raking in this much $ in general but can't even do that right. also the nuances are so helpful for these shows (esp the banmal issues my god) but i remember trying to watch watcher on viki in the beginning and the show is very confusing to begin with but the subs were initially UNBEARABLE.

why are all these new dramas so boringgggg this is probs the most interesting ive seen so far but the premise is something i hate so. really love kang ha na’s demeanor (her acting is....not great either but)
tbqh this shit was messy as hell. even if you want to watch something mind-numbing it isn't particularly enjoyable because the crux of it isn't there. the love at first sight completely fails; the chemistry is ok but not enough to believe they're destined to be with one another.
and although their rships were unhealthy and all these men were dumb as fuck because of course they are it was unbearable to watch a bunch of emotionally stunted 12 year olds not figure things out. i can't really think this is well done even without how weird the content is because everything is all over the place. the first time hq saw yf should have been edited WAY better and it would have had a better impact. all that being siad the story did suck so lmao
average viewers dont hate cheating (or at least most) because of purity myths it's the total destruction of trust. the likelihood that this relationship will last is even lower than their previous ones (like so many people who start a rship via infidelity DON'T LAST FOR A REASON.) yf's response to hq and whatever they were doing—esp working with someone they all know mutually and are close to—was extremely callous but mostly just stupid. there were too many struggles to choose from and i try my hardest to go back to it when i'm bored but i realize how repulsed i am by them lmao
