yes i hate israel. that is not anti semitism. and to your last point cool neither am i but even if you or i were: why are you accusing me of a thing i never fucking did?
probably? but that is honestly for the better. he just has to survive it and hopefully and probably will have people in his corner for when he gets out and will be fiscally secure at least for a while.
I agree with most of your post. The sexual assault I am not familiar with. Also, I was crushed to hear about Lee…
i hate how easy it is for these doctors to take these clearly vulnerable people with what seems like very little social support and ply them with drugs. and not all of the celebs are good people (like kanye west...and we could argue like w mj and i personally believe he has...you know) but what do the doctors get out of this? is it just money? or probably more clients? i admit this is something i never understood or looked into.
we really just want him to be safe and stay alive!
For me it's more a shock that the guy seemed to be suffering from chronic insomnia & severe depression, was working…
you have no idea what it is like to live with bad insomnia if you haven't been pushed this far. just none. obviously you are a troll though. and who fucking cares my god
it is imperialism. this place sucks. YAI would be fine in america bc he's a celebrity and also this wouldn't be a problem
but for the people whose lives will be and were effected (war on drugs) this isn't true. it's a more violent outcome than that.vplus mandatory anything are also coercive "choices" (that rarely work because they do not improve these people's material conditions). and you would be surprised what a lot are presented with as an alternative to prison (hysterectomies for example). but make no mistake: the usa is the leading carceral force in the world. we fucking love prison and cops. we love them.
the problem with this sentencing is the optics of it, the deprioritizing of women's lives, and a litany of other things. i find it incredibly nasty and this outcome would /not/ have happened in the usa but i want to point out that america shaped the way that south korea is and has done so from conception. in fact we are the /reason/ why south korea IS south korea. we essentially built their constitution.
it is one of our nastiest images/things we have done; around the same time as we were engaging in more of that there "alleged" imperialism (literally nakba aka expulsion of palestinians from their lands happened a month before the declaration of ROK. the former was mostly british at the time but we supported it and soon took up the mantle).
edit: OP doesn't know anything lmao but they were right about how this is ridiculous
In Korea "The possession of illegal drugs such as psychotropics and is narcotics can be sentenced to up to 10…
nope.
1. i think being rich and famous is pretty wrong (you cannot own me by telling me that i'm on mdl. that's not how life works so move on) so it is an abomination that one would be able to use resources that are not shared with the population to live a completely different life however this leads to
2. yai and other people adjacent to or in the ruling class do not get outcomes like this unless it is to prove a point, easy to do so because of who the person is (potentially queer actor who cares about social issues), or a political maneuver—all 3. and a big one: the people that do drugs in south korea are not the poor who are the ones who are disproportionately shoved into prison as that is the reason why prison exists.
3. all that being said, no matter if you believe in the system or not, these are absolutely draconian and disgusting laws which is a legacy from the united states of america btw
Prison is not really a place where mental health can improve, it's worse..although you can take a break from social…
i hope he meets some good comrades in there and reads some cool books. stays sane and safe at least because you can't count on the state or being a celebrity but hopefully in other good people.
Mass immigration??! You sound like a Fox News talking point.
there are people literally pontificating about why "cartels" (read: mexicans) are bad lmao. FOR WEED [redacted bc i misread one of the users and think i agree with @/suh se ji but i cannot keep track]
we are so fucked bc this website is indicative of what the world is like rn CLEARLY. never seen this many fucking freaks
In 2022 and 2023, over 100,000 people died from drug overdose in the US alone according to the American CDC. That's…
yea because they declared it a war on drugs and actually made a bunch of uninformed users while further socioeconomic entrenchment occur with racist-ass neoliberal capital. if you do not know what you are talking about with your poor implications than just say so. clearly this is not deterring koreans, predominantly very rich and/or connected ones might i add which is probably the only good thing about this, from drug use and is not keeping anybody safe considering burning sun was a drug fueled fucking nightmare. it isn't bad because drugs are present it is bad because it can make things WORSE when power and pain evolve from capital. but you wouldn't care about that :)
"So many idols before him found many different ways of surviving the pressure of fame without using drugs or killing…
lmao jonghyun fuckign killed himself 7 years ago. sulli, goo hara, another actor from around the same time the formers did, fucking LSK????? this bitch gotta be on something cos they're all fucking dead. ugh
I agree with most of your post. The sexual assault I am not familiar with. Also, I was crushed to hear about Lee…
i think because of your last observation it's easier to make him look like a deviant. the rape and drugs thing sounds straight out of a queerphobic playbook. i do remember him posting this suggestive picture while he was definitely high and it was kinda queer esque, him being bi or whatever is totally believable (not that it matters) but like the queerness/aesthetic, his public beliefs on equality, his skin color/looks, him being open about struggling with mental health....i really fucking like this man and i'm devastated he is going to prison like if the rape thing didn't sound like the creepiest dog whistle i'd not give a fuck but over this?
we really just want him to be safe and stay alive!
i did edit it a lot though :)
you can say you didn't get it without false accusations of anti semitism when not a single jewish person was mentioned. yall are CRAZYYYYYY .
