is this good so far i'm boredi guess i am because of the absolutely bonkers misogyny and sexism in these fucking…
also a few people have asked about why marriage is criticized both well meaning ones and the disgusting misogynists. if one of these shows is written by a woman almost always there's a push away from marriage or changing what marriage is. that's because marriage is a site of subjugation for women. acknowledging the growing climate in sk and the world, with women abstaining from men and marriage consciously (4B) is important.
but it's important that they name the biggest truth of all: the real decline of "families", marriage, reproduction is the fact that many women are now "liberated" from the home but a fake liberation: they have to joing workforce(s) because of capitalism. that means that we (women AND people) have no time and money for a lot of life's pleasures (one big one being romance/sex) and certainly no money for a family. we must work.
even though capitalism is not good for our lives, this truth allows the viewers to know that there's more to life while revealing the realities of workers and the way capital shapes women's lives via misogyny, patriarchy, and sexism.
there is more to life than work but also more to life than men and marriage. more to life than needing to marry at all. women know marriage means sex purely for reproduction (having to get married if you get pregnant) and that is to ensure we make children for the workforce. relegating women to the home because daycare costs too much OR having to work for money but being punished for the desire to do so or the fact that you are forced to. having an immense amount of responsibilities as a wife, mother, and worker.
do you get what it means to show that a woman is marrying for financial security? because that is what many have to do. love is most achievable for a certain group—a classed group; it is not to have true love as a worker. people do not leave their marriage and family unit—women and children—because they are beholden to it for a place to live and eat.
ALSO if she does indeed buy condoms (a man should tbh but whatever) that shows agency over her life, her wanting to fuck for pleasure/liking or enjoying someone bc women do that you know and yea even if the men are garbage, and lets women know that it's okay. it's also ok to not have anything figured out and be upset and confused by all of it. we are PEOPLE and women think about what marriage and sex means the most because we have to. so men casting aspersions have no right whatsoever. anyway this seems valuable to any female viewer of any nationality.
i guess i am because of the absolutely bonkers misogyny and sexism in these fucking comments. if she does have ex boyfriends/ppl she's fucked besides the ml i'm even more gung ho. thank god she fucking does! she's a human being and shin min ah is fucking 40 years old. you people are loser freaks and no woman wants to fuck you. COPE.
1. The king and queen's love scene showed the intimate affectionate nature of their relationship.2. The lesbian…
i don't think i agree on the female agency and i always worry about our interpreting it that way though i understand wanting to give women agency. they are allowed to enjoy it but not on their own terms because ultimately the fact that you cannot opt out is a negative right. at least that's how i view it. it doesn't have to be good, it /is/ pleasurable, but it does show subjugation and also the fine line between sex and rape (or under these conditions would all sex be this grey area we are afraid to confront in sexuality?)
personally i think what's strongest about the sex is showing how every single woman has to live under a certain set of rules and get what she wants through men (even though i don't agree at all with the thing they want and their lives would be better off without it) and how the queen, the servants, the prostitutes and concubines, the harem all serve the same function.
the shaman i do agree with though though what she did was explicitly rape for the man and the woman which furthers that bisexual potential. is she a promiscuous evil or is she taking up the mantle of men in service of herself? would manipulation, coercion, and control be an intense psychosexual satisfaction? the brothel is a site of patriarchal class domination, skewed agency, low life chances, and fucked up ideas of pleasure where people's boundaries are broken and (mostly always) men take advantage of that (but not only from women though any worker is seen as a rapeable underclass...woulda been interesting to see some male prostitutes BUT I DIGRESS)
important to note i am not saying that women do not find this pleasurable but i think getting to the act itself is the most pleasurable for women with men which is why, ultimately, we do give them what we want or we have been trained to. there's something about having that power over a man and being able to revoke it—but we rarely do. deep pleasure exists can exist in discomfort especially when all of it—and the monarchy—is seen as natural.
but also i feel like it might be projection on what i think it means. anyway every single one there's nothign wrong with them at all and ty for sharing your thoughts. largely agree. also there's something about falling in love when everyone around you is insane and doing fucked up shit esp your man <3 that's why i like the romance in the great LMAO
I think some of the purists have shifted to IMDb 🤣, i see 15 people gave 1 rating
THEY are the ones making everything about sex. they're obsessed with it! typical christianesque paternal behavior lmao. so fucking obsessed you become the actual perv
The show spans 24h, so they decided to fill the time with s*x scenes and the clowns are eating it up.
bored so i'll bite. this show is like 15% short sex scenes that you can skip. it's not that interesting frankly so we can skip/ff them. why on earth would that be what we're watching it for yet YOU are that one making it all about that? and i am sure there are some asexual people watching this show. grow up
