i think a big thing is the writing and production—i am not sure i will ever get used to lower-budget productions in comparison to a lot of the world because it seems like one person (who isn't the on-set crew i mean) does most of the work. i've noticed for a lot of these dramas there's unecessary repetition and forgetting what happened before that...is it laziness or needing a scripty? or both idk. they need more $, that's for sure.

additionally the director shouldn't be editing this either, which is a shame because had a real experienced editor worked on it there could be MUCH tighter scenes even if they still have to pad out the fucking run time and even if the turnaround is quick. that's our job.

that being said, the two of them are still great to watch. IF the both of them so choose to continue with acting, boun needs way more lessons and experience but he can produce a tear or two and should go for it. though prem's acting can be a bit weak, particularly in the lighter scenes, obviously he's gotten better and can cry on command (which is huge!) needs better use of his body (they both do; movement classes) but he's also young and gangly. they'll figure it out.

the rest, i'm not sure how to classify because sometimes the writing isn't bad, other times it's confusing, or other times i'm just tired.

i ff thru everything not WT mostly. but, for the most part, i enjoy it. or because my stress is so mounted it's the bright spot in my week sometimes. that being said, i can see why people rip it to shreds lol.

for SNF? yes for sure and the director is really interested in those issues (you should watch films she's directed and worked on, if you haven't), she was gonna basically stop filmmaking if she didn't get this opportunity. it's not overt, but it's deftly put in. the last episode is pretty devoted to gender too. love that show lol

i've seen a lot. like a lot. i stopped watching romcoms years ago because they're mostly annoying men being nightmares and weird heteronormativity but i've seen a lot. this is nothing lol like not even close. at least this was a thinly veiled plot device (the wedding) but they can write it effectively. also they get the nature of grief right.

oh yea! sorry i think the term you used is good for this case since it relates to work; we've tended to over use it and remove it from the work aspect but don't worry! i was just pointing out that even if he's not a woman, that is still an expectation of performance because he has to fake it. which is another reason why, to me, it's clear why he cut everything off. and the fact that his current job gives him a lot more freedom and he doesn't feel pressured to perform even if he's trying to make a living. it's not a big part of the show, the labor issue, but working exacerbates misery especially in jobs where you're in high stress and little sleep. complete burnout. sorry i wasn't clear!

like her father can't even retire and he is doing the job of 2 people and has since his wife passed. but they've still managed to make their own little attempt at happiness and a family.

exactly!!!! i think she's interesting but that's cos my parents are also crazy so i really do feel for that but call a spade a spade. she's a beautiful woman and actress it's just not pleasant to watch it. for me i was mostly just so mortified...like i just could never degrade myself like that and do what she did and then completely trample over someone's wishes (even if you don't understand them which at that point you should i'm sorry she's a doctor and that's like....girl grow up) and all that she got was looking so desperate and pathetic ugh. now that's the true disappointment all this, risking your life and career, over a man (at least the show knows and said that they have horrible rships with men which i actually liked so it's not saying that shit is good or normal)

i feel you with th! i am the same exact way actually lmao (also i watched the jun interview with hyeri doing mbti and he and i are very similar in affect—he's completely different). you've summed it up exactly like it is really hard and sad but on the flipside that's the beauty of it. feelings and humans are really really really worth it but there's so much pain we go through that it's so hard to remember why we do it but i guess all that turmoil makes cultivating the type of life you want that much more rewarding and sweet. esp if you find someone who is the love of your life~

i love it!!!! omg love reading what you're wriing. i think though it may not be the same, between the two women, there's always going to be this element of intensity with dj and th; like you said he can't have neutral feelings about her and never has. even when he first met her. it's possible, and probable i think, that he's probably never wanted to spend that much time with someone like he does with her.

their rship isn't comfortable or easy sometimes because they don't gloss over things. i think it's fair to say that, with CH, there was definitely a lot of that given the way she reacted after their whole thing after his brother. and like he doesn't have to take care of someone else; it's interesting cos i think vincent said it or maybe someone else i can't rememebr what episode but that she's a kind, optimistic, bright, and cool girl whereas with CH she is a sad girl, a sad person. maybe theres overthinking on my part but it would be a relief to know that someone can move on and survive without you, even if they feel like they've known you for a long time (talking abt dj/th and the connection they have) unlike someone who gets stuck and neeeeds you. it's not rly ch's fault, it's just night and day.
