I think it's a combination of not being able to recognise expressions on other people and not knowing what expression…
She gets excited for things, she cries, she expresses some things and doesn’t for others.

I think one part is, like you said, not recognizing but also a delayed reaction or not understanding your feelings. She expresses so much excitement over whales and dolphins and though she may not connect what he did with the conversation about wanting to go to the certain region of water in SK and the shores of Japan to be able to see the freed animals and him wanting to fulfill her wishes, her awe in being able to see something so grand and it being so little is something she would definitely express. Plus she is getting more positive socialization than just her few family and friends that accept and understand or try to understand her!

Like something she holds so dear may be immediately able to come to the surface though she may not be able to express verbally or see that her reaction was one of immense awe ans potential gratification to Jun-ho. I think part of why it was effective is because that was the thing that moved her the most so far outside of feeling immense rejection earlier.

Someone on the spectrum can correct me if I am way off tho!

i would have if you didn't respond the way you did above, then claimed you didn't care. regardless, and thankfully, you are insignificant and unimportant in deciding what i, or any other woman and person who can conceive, do with our bodies.

genuine question: for what? and how long does this last for? it's established by ep 6 all the things that happen…
i asked for a time frame not why. i get it but there's a legit time limit on this stuff and it's for particularly crucial spoilers. i'm not questioning why we need it or would want it because i agree with that.

genuine question: for what? and how long does this last for? it's established by ep 6 all the things that happen in 7/8 so while i understand i guess i'm wondering what is the expiration date cos none of this is explosive information per se

Soo Yeon!🙇‍♀️🙇‍♀️🙇‍♀️🙇‍♀️ SHE is the lead of this episode...she stood up against…
when she had that convo with jun ho in ep 7 about his feelings i was so !!! at first i was like "girl!" cos it's okay for her to be petty, i get it, and she's proven herself to be a good kind girl so if she makes a mistake she will apologize/repent and do better. but nope it was her being honest (just like when she said he needs to establish boundaries—she was absolutely right, otoh she needed to see that not everyone feels the same way about everything!) and her looking out for a friend (and someone who hasn't' called her a friend yet!) such a well-written character and ha yoon kyung is fabulous! beautiful aura, face, body language, and a gorgeous voice! ep 6 was so good i hope we have another them-centric episode. i'd love to see how she and geu rami are as well!

In the 1st ep, I thought Soo Yeon was going to be one of those mean, crazy love obsessed villains. I'm sorry I…
right??? i like how the show reveals a complex rship for her. like she's not being or ever was mean—just frustrated at many points but the frustration isn't anger. even when she talked about FWA she wasn't angry. when she gave her the sunshine nickname *_* i straight up (pun intended, nothing straight abt it) have a crush!

the same reasons that woo young woo gets treated like garbage are the same forces that work to decide what a woman/person can or can't do with their body wrt reproduction. they want to be adjudicators of who gets a good life and a bad life based on who is included in their ridiculous category of Man (human). they don't give a shit about woo young woo's life and how she lives. in fact, these are the very same people who support eugenicist practices (the thing mentioned in ep 3 with hans asperger and nazis who created blood theory, the thing that the japanese used and bought into as they were on the axis, the very japanese imperial rule logic and forces that OCCUPIED KOREA pre and during holocaust yrs).

they're interested in preserving ONE type of life—the one that supports hegemony and what can be controlled—and have NO interest in people like woo young woo because, to them, she has never ever been HUMAN (EPISODE 3. AGAIN.) they deem her to be non-human and could give less of a shit if she dies or lives. they condemn people like her, or the Other, to a life of death; living only nominally but not a good life.

they would prefer to never see or hear from someone like her. they won't give people like her the medical support, educational support, social support she needs—they don't want that given to anyone but who they deem worthy and those who are worthy aren't the woo young woo's or the Pengsoo brother—they will only use her life to pretend and obfuscate that their need for control and decision making on whose lives are truly worthy rest on eliminating people like her.

the same people who declare a pandemic to be over because it only kills the immunocompromised and disabled. they don't care about human life beyond who they deem to be worthy of being called human. some commenters here have some nasty and uninformed logic on how this works but you're wrong and all you're doing is working in favor of the systems that make people like woo young woo's lives extremely difficult when they are living breathing and active amazing human beings.

being anti-choice is a fascistic stance and the evidence was given in episode 3 and it's a shame that there are people who give in to this garbage and think it's in service of the woo young woo's in the world because all you care about is the fact of life and not quality of life. it's really fucking disgusting.

absolutely love how they did not drag the romance between the main leads and the birth mother plot. They gave…
that would be SO COOL IF SHE DIDDDDDD. i really hope so! i was thinking that if htey stayed at hanbada that hanbada should make like a public interest unit. the whole team would do really well in that

I don't think people hate Tae Soo Mi for wanting an abortion. I think they dislike the fact that she chose to…
yea i am gonna finish ep 8 but i think your point is good. i'm getting annoyed by other comments that are anti-choice and controlling as fuck. and i can see why OP would think this—it would be my first thought too tbqh. hopefully the show is going down a more radical route.
