I have a slight hope for this since a female scriptwriter is also at work. I normally don't like Chung Sung Ill's…
makes me kind of sad that we have reason to be reticent particularly (but not solely) with male writers and the patterns from previous work. alas, life. it just gets tiresome being worried about certain idiosyncrasies that are less than savory when it comes to portrayals of women/society in a show. anyway l o v e your DP :) gr8 show
neither of them are tippy-top exemplary actors (imo) so we can jot that down. one is a lot worse than the other. that being said....it could be interesting. or it could not. i think a lot of the issues with yoonah is that there's no other well that seems to be pulled from—a lot of bad acting can be tolerated if there's charm surrounding the character or the actor has a certain 'je ne sais quoi', or shows signs of improvement over the course of the show, or can follow of their partner (to give a lot of examples!) what makes junho compelling to watch is all of the above—paired with that face—and his improvement(s). it feels pleasurable watching him and not a slog in a good work (JBL, wok of luv, confession, good manager doesn't need to be said bc he is HILARIOUS and very comfortable with his body so it's even more of a joy to watch him there!)
if the show can do well in making the world deeper than just the surface for a romance, if we can get invested in it, if our time can be managed/divided that we don't get fatigued with shortcomings that will be good. it would also be nice to have something other than the typical rote story and regular tropes like trying to show us that 'rich people can be good too' or something and not full of patriarchal capitalist nightmares. we shall see!!!!
honestly the trailer looks fun but a bit lifeless in the construction of the scenes. this is kind of a common feature of a hong sisters drama though the last i watches was a while ago. from gifs of HDL, it seemed a bit more lively (but that could just be the subj matter/color scheme of the show that popped). that being said, in the 5m trailer i was engaged and i'm sort of excited. i like the fact that, as seriously flawed as the sisters writing can be and has been for years, they really try to subvert the common tropes regarding women to the point that makes it enjoyable. the biggest one being the trope of emotional/physical protection that we "need" (dont). seems also like it'll be anachronistic which i REALLY like actually! could be fun!
cannot believe that dude is 24....god i have no idea what any age looks like—realizing the face-indicators become arbitrary at a certain point lmao
am i the only one who found it boring? i dropped it once and I still can't bring myself to finish watching, is…
dpends on what ep you stopped. honestly i didn't find it boring but i did fastforward through a lot because i hate being in suspense over who will die and this had a lot of it. i found it very enjoyable though and the story worth watching. it was mostly well-written
This is still the best kdrama I've watched and now I'm wanting to find something more... so:Does anyone know something…
trap and strangers from hell were done for the same cinema series on OCN. trap reminded me of this a lot but this is a lot funnier; like this though trap is really into the suspense/stress of craziness. stranger (show) is a great political thriller like it's SO well made. special labor inspector jo is a light satirical ensemble about a labor inspector (very little romance but it's like this show where it is a bit more of a plot but honestly not by much)

esp if it's a dude and then he realizes how he's like wildly in love, worse than the lady, worse than he ever thought????? BEAUTIFUL
