Yeah because anyone who's been watching these dramas for the past 3 years already knows the director is already better than most, the actors involved are well liked and popular for the last year, AND calling the plot nonsensical either means NONE of them watch idol dramas(which is possible) because the storylines have been in the crapper for years now. Like even some of the dramas we can argue is great has had some shite storylines, unless it's involving some elders or senior actors in the main.
I'm so invested in the people who talk about storylines because 😂😂😂 I can guess a few popular dramas by netizens over the years that are more braindead than a rock. What dramas are they comparing it to?

I wonder if this is the equivalent of Gen Z C-netizens because I remember much older and seemingly "conflated" rating dramas that are still popular today going through a similar thing in the past. Story of Yanxi for example. They said they hated it at first and then suddenly LOL it was trending in popularity. It's not like the critiques weren't fair but you can like/love something and still make commentary. I think that's proof that you enjoyed is if you're able to hold long discussions over it

I'm in the last few episodes and it's pretty good. I do think one of the most memorable aspects of this drama is going to be where ML is mourning the life he thought they would have together.
And I think it's a nice nuance on their relationships with loss and death. He knows what it's like to be left behind and he's upset, notsomuch that he's going to die but that she's going to be left behind like they've felt most of their lives. I don't see many CDramas do this in a way that adds more depth to their character instead of of angst for angst's sake so nicely done.
FL is a blend of Zhao Lu Si and Esther Yu. I really like both of those actresses so I'm good. She doesn't even do the baby voice thing(which I know bothers people) and from the looks of it is 19. Good drama for a start. I've seen much worse early acts from much better actors.
I mean yeah, but on a BL scale it might as well be a masterpiece. Well written BLs are rare(I can name like 15 ever in all of time space country language and cultures lol). And even a good BL is like mining for gold. So yeah but also I find it refreshing that I can just watch one like a regular show and not a BL scale of 1 to cringe(it's got some delightful cringe tho too).
I watch too many dramas with similar setups and I ALWAYS know it's going to be sad but like they did that thing where they make it sad and sadder until finally yep there's the tears.

Because everything was good until the last two or three episodes and you can very literally pretend they don't exist lol. Which is rare for a "bad ending". Honestly, I thought they were preparing for a season 2 so I didn't mind it but I don't think they are(?).

I don't think he's immature. I'm sure it's just POV. Everytime he has a scene it's read as hyperfocused and laid-back. I consider that utmost maturity. Too many people waste their life worrying about the small things and the things you can't change. When you start to mature in adulthood, that's the first thing you learn lol.
