this drama certainly deserves to rise in rating, just as Royal Bethroal's deserves to go downhill as it nears…
I did not watch royal bethrotal because i feel with wu jin yan caliber she should be paired with actors who can match her energy and skills. Why do you say it went downhill?

I was impressed with ding yu xi’s acting
the way he looked at FL on her birthday was so heart melting, is this his strongest performance ? It’s my first time to watch him. What other dramas he played that is equally impressive?

Madam yu is such a intelligent, classy lady ...how did she gave birth to such an asshole
But she is also an asshole but just presented beautifully.

Thank god I watched blossoms of power before this one otherwise I would not be able to bear cui jinbai’s face…
He was also a support role in amid the snowstorm of love and plays a supportive friend to ML. First time to watch his as villain and have to say he is good at it. Now everybody hates him.

See, Yu Jingxiu
mother knows best. Whether it’s your career or choosing your bride, you really should’ve listened to her. 😂

I'm thinking about starting this drama because it seems interesting. Do you guys recommend? Can you maybe tell…
The two main characters are worth rooting for

Feeling a bit disappointed with this military arc because the Lu siblings feel so poorly written. Their motivations…
Thanks for that perspective! You’ve honestly explained their psychological depth better than the drama itself has presented it. But yeah, looking at it as small town, small issues that feel huge within their little world actually makes a lot of sense.

Since the start of the military career in every preview I see ML short changed and mistreated. I understand they…
Feeling a bit disappointed with this military arc because the Lu siblings feel so poorly written. Their motivations for trying to destroy the leads don’t seem to go much deeper than plain jealousy, which makes them feel very one-dimensional. I was just raving about how Road to Splendor had avoided cartoonish, clichĂ© villains, and now suddenly we’ve got two of them. 😭

I would’ve found Commander Lu’s jealousy much more convincing if the ML were actually threatening his position—constantly outperforming him, showing off his abilities, or getting promoted ahead of him. But so far, the ML hasn’t even really proven himself yet, so I don’t understand where this level of resentment is coming from.

I kinda dropped the drama due to the female lead making most of the decisions even tho she’s not the main lead…
Be patient. 😎

There’s been a bit of complaining lately about the ML being weak, new annoying characters popping up every few…
I am interested to watch his character grow. The FL leading him to the right direction is realistic because she was the educated one and also showing how she is the first person to believe in his potential. I expect ML to step up once he gain confidence in himself.

Not all viewers can interpret a character’s inner thoughts through facial expressions, eye acting, and body…

Yeah, to make it more relatable, my benchmark for a female character who is supposed to be cold, calculating, manipulative, yet refined and elegant would be Madam Yu. Just look at how layered she is. Even the slightest movement of her eyes can make you think, “omg, What is she plotting this time?” There’s always something simmering underneath. Now that is great acting. And perfect for attentive viewers!

I didn't understand the scene with Yake giving the husband the embroidered satchel she had in that box. From what…
So many commenters here want the FL to get revenge on Yake, but I think the best revenge is for her to do absolutely nothing. Yake’s own poor decisions have already brought her the karma she deserves. 😂

All i can say is i was scammed by reddit users to watch blossoms of power. Dropped it. Couldn’t stand the FL’s acting.
