This is my first time watching Li Xian, and he feels very different from Ci Sha. Ci Sha has a more intense, restrained energy, while Li Xian is subtle and fluid.
What stands out is how naturally he shifts emotions through small looks and slight changes in expression. The transitions feel effortless and easy to miss. So i think mainstream viewers donāt see this.
Watching him act honestly feels like watching an art form. Definitely a very capable actor.
Ci Sha really made the fight scenes good! Choreography isnt intense but his reactions Reminds me of watching good…
Yeah, he actually looks like heās genuinely fighting for his men and country in those battle scenes. Thereās real aggression and weight behind his movements, especially in the sword-whipping scenes. He comes across ruthless and dangerous instead of just ācool.ā
A lot of idol dramas still try too hard to keep the actors looking perfectly pretty during fights. Here, he actually looks like someone who belongs on a battlefield.
Whichever director or producer decided to give him this lead role, thank you very much. At last a proper male lead who can act and do fight scenes.

Which one of these would be comparable to spledid match in terms of chemistry? Not much into revenge or heavy political dramas but want a good romance, good acting and chemistry.
Maybe you are a young lady so you naturally will be drawn to more exciting men š we 40s women will be happy…
šÆ! I just replied in another thread about how some other C-dramas with subpar acting still end up getting higher ratings, when all the actors do is stare blankly to portray a stoic character. Meanwhile, in this drama, every single actor delivered.
Ci Sha is honestly such a pleasant surprise. I really hope he lands an even stronger project soon because he definitely has the presence and range to stand out. The possibilities for him honestly feel endless ā I could totally see him pulling off a flirty, playful male lead just as convincingly as a badass morally gray general. Either way, I think heād absolutely deliver.
I agreed. I have seen Ren Min in other dramas, but in this show, I felt her acting and character suitability is…
Agree! I was genuinely surprised by how wide his range is ā he can switch from ruthless and cold to warm, slightly awkward, and deeply sorrowful so naturally. Thatās actually quite rare to see, especially from someone mainly known for martial arts roles.
Usually martial arts actors rely more on physical presence and action charisma. During their peak years, even legends like Jackie Chan or Jet Li rarely carried romance-heavy roles with this kind of emotional layering.
Can someone who likes the drama do the reviews because it sure isn't being done by those who liked the whole series.I…
Iām also waiting for the last 5 episodes on Viki, but Iāll definitely leave a good review. Iāve seen other C-dramas with much higher ratings that honestly didnāt meet the same acting standard.
Sometimes dramas get high ratings because of hype, popularity, visuals, or fandom power, even when the acting itself is comparatively weaker.
