Love love loved this show! cried my eyes out. The leads were amazing and had solid chemistry but never in my life…
The director actually did a good job showcasing each of the characters. They all had their shining moments. Even xuanqjng had a lot of opportunities to showcase his acting skills
while waiting for the full episode to land, i found this- https://www.facebook.com/reel/999315516155975so sweet...…
I honestly think the two of them are so comfortable with each other that even when they’re doing fan service, they seem completely in sync. Nothing feels forced or awkward—it just comes across as natural because they understand each other’s rhythm so well.
Even I was thinking.. its better to voice personalized opinions in the comments, so everyone can discuss on it...…
Yes gala zhang’s proposal scene was very memorable. I think the director really did a great job making each of the characters shine. all of our leads and 2nd 3rd leads have created their own iconic scenes that will stuck in viewers mind .
I see very exaggerated low ratings in the reviews. I understand that its not everyone’s cup of coffee but it…
I was actually quite surprised that some viewers dropped the drama because they found Ci Sha’s acting too blunt or plain. I was like, seriously?
The two leads practically carried the entire show. The plot itself wasn’t anything groundbreaking, but the acting and chemistry were so strong that they pulled in a huge number of viewers. Their performances made many scenes memorable despite the relatively simple story.
So when I see people complain about his acting, I honestly wonder which actors actually meet their standards.
The ending felt rushed but overall still so satisfied having discovered ci sha. His fight scenes in ep 38 and 39 and mourning scenes were phenomenal. Wow i really can’t wait to see him in his next role.
For those who wanted Jin Zhao with Ye Xian, I am curious to know your reasoning.
I’m guessing it’s because a lot of mainstream viewers, especially younger audiences, enjoy the classic enemies-to-lovers trope. So the constant bickering between Ye Xian and Jin Zhao feels, to them, like a natural path toward falling in love.
Meanwhile, some viewers find the main couple “boring” because their romance feels more grounded and emotionally steady. They never really needed to fight or clash before realizing they loved each other.
LOL, His acting skill is very good and give out good aura in every scene. His line delivery was very good good.…
I am actually more impressed that he can deliver deep emotional scenes despite being a primarily martial arts actor. All in one package - he got the looks, physical, acting skills.
Naaa the ML acting is so onpoint. Interestingly his acting won me over, I am a sucker for Actors that act with…
Btw can you recommend other actors with the same level of acting with eyes skill? My other faves would be wu lei and bai jing ding. But i am in the lookout for more

Same. I love Ci Sha’s acting. In the first few episodes, I did feel he came across a little stiff and lacking in microexpressions. But in one of his interviews, he mentioned how challenging it was to strike the right balance between revealing enough emotion and concealing enough, since his character was written as a cold, cunning official. So he knew part of his character needs to be cold but finding the balance was challenging.
But once his real character started unfolding layer by layer… wow. Every eye expression — from calculating, to quietly falling for the FL, to being cunning in court, to ruthless on the battlefield — felt completely on point. In my opinion, his acting skills are far above many idol actors.
My pain too. Suddenly, idol dramas feel so… performative. The main storyline of ASM felt very lived in, like…
And I think the acting really made all the difference. The main leads and even the 2ML winwin delivered their roles with full commitment. You can actually see the layers in their emotions, the subtle shifts in expression, the tension, hesitation, and internal conflict without everything needing to be spelled out. It makes the characters feel alive rather than just reciting lines.
Watching Youthful Glory now really makes me realize the difference between acting with depth and acting that feels flat.

Planning to watch ashes to crown and the first jasmine. But worried first jasmine wont give me the satisfaction the ci sha delivered for a male lead.
People will now see him in a different light.
