Honestly, at this point, I’m getting more acting satisfaction from the scenes where Liu Xueyi simply listens to Lanxiang explain how she solves problems, or just observes her from afar, than I would from a dozen tropey romance scenes.
Those subtle glances, with so much simmering underneath, are far more enjoyable to watch. As a viewer, you actually have to dissect them: is he admiring her? Is he starting to fall for her? Or is he simply impressed?
Damn, they haven’t even brushed shoulders yet, and I can already feel the attraction just from his eyes.
