Yeah. I wasn't sure I'd like it because (again very much in the minority) I really disliked My Mister and this is the same writer. But this one I find relatable, realistic, and the actors are all *chef's kiss* perfect. Son Suk Ku is my favorite to play brooding, idgaf characters so I'm glued for now. We'll see how it goes.

Tbh Empress Ki I watched in bits and pieces as I'd walk by the TV when my hubby would watch. My take on it was lots of poisonings, shifting alliances, and a very whiny Ji Chang Wook hahaha but it was pretty kickass. I've watched a couple of dramas but I'm definitely in a slump still too. I'm enjoying My Liberation Notes and have a couple others I've been meaning to start but not motivated. The weather is too nice too!

The calls for Business Proposal to have been nominated are lol. I mean, it's entertaining candy, but Baeksang? Uh... Good thing these awards are agnostic of fan reception or awareness.
For what it's worth, 6 of the 8 top nominated shows this year were on Netflix. I'm glad this one wasn't, give a chance for other platforms to carry quality material, too. Having said that, one of them doesn't even have English subs ~ this Lee Hak Joo fan has been waiting in vain for ages 😭

Definitely, for viewers not versed in Korean text book history, it's a great prequel to explain the depth of San's trauma. I watched before and rewatched it during the drama and it was great to come back and connect dots, especially with the rest of the royal family characters and their own stories in relation to Sado and San. I'm eager to watch Yi San to see a deeper/broader take into this period. Just too bad it's not Junho 🤣

Totally! Why I'm really enjoying the Memoirs and history books. All these events are fascinating. I'm in the minority but I hoped for more political struggles (either personal or govt politics) in the latter episodes of TRS, as well as more Sado, too. But The Throne is a fantastic complement!

He's 💯 not the target audience, but he's so invested in Sado's story, he couldn't pass up on this drama. I may try Yi San next with him.

Business Proposal couldn't hold my attention after a while, it was cute at first then the ML got so boring.. I watched the last two episodes in a total of 10 minutes with some very aggressive fast forwarding 🤣
