The vicarious embarrassment for Ki Jung today was extraordinary, but so was the cheering for her and all their wins! They all don't know how good they are, but their process of discovery is priceless. Ahhhhh this show is so good!!
May 6th at 18:10 kst is red carpet, awards start at 19:45.
It'll be streamed on tiktok, @baeksang.official channel, hoping a jtbc stream will be accessible because portrait mode? Yuck. But at least it's something.
I didn't think I'd be crying so much, and so many tears of joy???, with this drama. Ki Jung remarking how she needed a good cry is so me. I didn't want this episode to end!! Brb replaying it now.
I had no idea what to expect with this drama, other than a smoldering Son Suk Gu because that's what he does, but ending episode 4 in tears and excited cheering was not on the agenda. Like others mentioned, the silences and actions speak volumes! I can't wait to see more of these characters, they're all sublime.
Although I hated the ending as its ooc character break up I totally agree that Baek Yi jin isn't out of character.…
That's the point, her emotions ruled over logic. There's no reliable consistency when it's all emotions. This is the same girl that would watch footage of the war in Afghanistan with eagerness because that's the only time she'd see her bf. That's a pretty big lack of empathy. And for her to prioritize her own happiness (i.e. avoid the same trauma her mother doled out in shovelfulls in her youth) over his, I didn't think that came out of left field. Then again, I was never in the camp of baekdo end game (it was obv from the start, unless the writer decided to cheapen the script with a candy happy ending) or who was the baby daddy, so I found the ending very satisfying.
I couldn’t with My mister after the 2nd ep. but with My liberation diary, it clicked instantly.
Same here! Took me forever to get through the first three episodes of My Mister, then I kept waiting for it to live up to the hype, but nope 🤦♀️. This one fired on all cylinders from the get-go for me, too. Reminds me more of a lighter version of Lost, and I'm so in.

She was immature and did say she would only do things while she found them fun, like fencing. She quit fencing at the height of her career, not unlike how she quit her first love. Idk how other people dealt with breakups at 21, but my memories of breakups back then are beyond embarrassing 🤣😭 People seem to want to attribute all these mature, grown-up behaviors to her at 21, that's why we saw the do-over at 40, she had so much regret over how she treated him at that moment.
I don't know which of the three siblings I enjoy more. Their struggles are so relatable.. From the 3-hr daily commute 🙋♀️ to the existential crises, the need for acceptance, the desire to fit in under *your own terms*, the longing to break free and flourish. I am loving this drama.
