And my gut is telling me that they wanted to end it as him being dead, and then added the scene of him being back…
Exactly! It's like after that weird decision of turning this into an unnecessary melodrama, they regretted it and were unsure of which ending would be more criticized or hated by the viewers; so they just left it up to our own interpretation -_-*smh*... Badly done! :/
I'm so glad I spoiled myself the ending before actually watching the episode; because this sudden genre change in the drama could have been very traumatic for me! From a light-hearted, lovely, fun and inspiring drama; it unexpectedly turned into a sad melodrama and I didn't sign up for that! Anyways, though I kinda feel scammed by the writer xD, I can't say I hate the ending completely because I really liked the drama until episode 14; so I'm giving it an 8/10. I'm just mad that it's not clear if he really returned to her in the end or if RaRa sort of became delusional in order to cope with his passing. I just can't believe a mother could lie with something so terrible as her own son's death. Even if it was Jun's decision in order to protect RaRa from suffering and waiting for him when it wasn't guaranteed that he could survive. Besides, I still remember when Dr. Cha and "Tough guy" were listening to Chopin's song and he mentioned that, sadly, the musician never returned to his dear Homeland (Poland); that only his heart returned to that place (something like that). And I kinda think now, what if they were foreshadowing Jun's sad tragedy and the possible 'epiphany' of RaRa at the end? I'm not against open endings though, but this drama and its characters (loved the acting btw; especially Jun's) didn't deserve such treatment, in my opinion. I don't know what happened to this writer, but I didn't like the way she developed the plot of these two last episodes :/
Wow, great article! This really helps to see these characters in a more human perspective (no matter which team we are rooting for) since all their actions were certainly made with the intention of doing good and making someone happy; according to their personalities and own perspectives...but sadly, sometimes our idea of doing good or helping people are so wrong and might hurt them instead; and maybe it won't be what that person would really want. Seeing this through that point of view, can help us accept better whatever decision Dalmi makes in the end, even if our team isn't the winner (just in case, I'm reffering to the online heated debates between #teamdosan vs #teamjipyeong xD).
It would have been way more fun if the writers had paired NDS & WIJ and HJP & SDM. Come to think of it both couple…
That would have been awesome! Actually when I saw the posters and the first eps, considering the characters opposite personalities, I thought thats what the plot would probably be about ; that there would be two set of couples like in Fight My way...but I was so wrong about this drama lol; I feel kinda betrayed xD lol
Hahahah I remember when I was younger I used to watch dramas on viki with timed comments on.....and I used to comment too xD I'd take like three hours or more watching just an episode, so I could pause to read and comment on almost all scenes lol xD Ahh I miss those days :3 lol
Saw a theory on reddit that NDS for the past three years has been writing letters to SDM.But HJP in his jealousy…
If that's true, then one of my fears about this drama will become true. Turning JP into a villain so the viewers/fans supporting him could accept the ending, would be such a pathetic move in my opinion. Instead of giving him an agreeable ending (with or without Dalmi, it doesn't matter) that we can accept and be happy for him, If they really decide to ruin his character like this, then I'll consider this drama and the writer a total failure and waste of time. I really hope they're not planning to go that route and that, that is just an absurd rumor!
Guys, I just realized that the SST guys are talking about having a long vacation in the preview. So does this…
OMG something like this should be the ending! It would be great! Not because I love #teamjipyeong but because it'll make sense, since the drama has certainly showed us a lot of clues or foreshadows that if they didn't mean anything in the end, then we can assume this writer ran out of ideas and got lost in her own plot; or worst, the popularity of the actors forced her to change her initial idea and therefore unwillingly she ruined her own drama. I also noticed that Dalmi only knows a few aspects about Dosan's personality, and mostly the best ones since he has tried to show her only the best of him (that's why I think what she feels is only infatuation and not real, real love). Unlike JP who's showed her all his sides (especially the worst one) and she still cares for him (probably as friend or mentor for now) and understands his intentions. I tried not to read too much into the scenes when they're eating ramyun or when she cooked for him, because I decided not to get my hopes up anymore xD... That's why I interpreted that as she feels comfortable around him as you'd feel around your family and best friends. After all, he's the true Do San of the letters; the best friend she needed in a critical time of her life as a child; and she finally found him and have his support again in another critical time of her adult life. But I really hope your theory is the right one! It would be just perfect and totally would make sense if those ramyun scenes were foreshadowing their relationship in the future as a couple! #dreamingisforfree :)
Follow your dreams= follow DM dreams ,your dreams doesn't matter still can't get how a person can be someone's…
So true! I just can't understand that! I don't wanna offend anyone, but that way of thinking is pathetic and really sad! Especially when someone has so much potential as Dosan. . But I guess that, besides his own personality type, his parents are to blame too for the way they treated and raised him. However, because this is Kdramaland, the separation from Dalmi will 'magically' help him change and mature into a better version of himself, in order to give us another boring cliche ending xD
Maybe it's because NJH has a bigger fanbase. It's true that KSH isn't a rookie and has even been a main lead before (the guy is a great actor and very handsome too; that helps); but compared to NJH he is less popular and that might influence the votes. For some people, especially overseas, this is probably their first time seeing KSH in a drama since a lot of them started watching this for Suzy and NJH. I think I'm part of the minority that started watching this for KSH since I've been his fan for two years now, maybe.
Ok I think this drama has become really predictable, because everything that happened on ep 12 (and will possibly happen in the next episodes), someone already predicted it in this very comments section, like a day or two ago xD....but at least I'm glad yesterday's episode wasn't too frustrating for us #teamhanjipyeong When the previews showed him crying on halmeoni's arms, I thought it was for Dalmi; but I'm so relieved it was for a greater more important reason. I think I disliked so much the fact that Dalmi never even once tried to really get to know Mr Han and his backstory and the reason why he wrote those letters; or how and why he became so close to her grandma, that now I really don't care if he ends up alone. Simply, that clueless girl does not deserve such a precious awesome man like Han Ji Pyeong (it's kinda clear she only feels grateful to him as a mentor and doesn't have any romantic feelings for him. If they possibly become closer in the next eps, it'll be because she'll start to see him as part of her family through her grandmother). Actually, that Samtech team full of immature ungrateful dummies are kinda pathetic and never deserved such a honest mentor like Mr Han (I want to clarify I'm not hating on the actors at all; it's their characters that are just too irritating xD). Now I think I will accept better any ending this writer decides to give us. I just don't care anymore xD For me this drama is now only about the beautiful relationship between a grandma and her sorta adopted grandson; because that was truly the best aspect of this story!
If they weren't planning HJP to make endgame why the hell they showed his backstory? like why? This only created…
Exactly! I still want to think this wasn't a huge mistake from the writer.and that they do have valid reasons why they.showed his backstory and made us like him so much ( like the main leads in their previous dramas like pinocchio, while you were sleeping and I can see your voice). Because right now it seems like this could turn out a mess. They're even reducing his screen time to focus more on Do San and Dami, in order to make us accept a disappointing ending. After three great dramas that I loved from this writer, I don't want to think this plot will sadly become another victim of lazy writing!
