But I am honestly tired of how the fandom is always seeing this in every other characters pov except for Chi Cheng, it is getting annoyingly redundant

Honestly, if Wu Ma didnt make Chi Cheng promise to not tell Wei Wei and Chi Cheng made that decision to not tell Wei Wei because he didn't want him to worry, then yeah I will agree that Chi Cheng is depriving Wei Wei and his mother in spending time together.

BUT the thing is, Chi Cheng is respecting Wu Ma's wish for her to let Wei Wei know when she's ready.

Chi Cheng even told Wei Wei to spend more time with his mother which honestly to me, that is already good enough to respect Wu Ma wish, and him wanting to give Wei Wei and his mother time together during this time...

During this time, Chi Cheng is shouldering this whole thing alone, privately, even to the point that Wei Wei misunderstood him about this whole "Client" was none other than him spending time and taking care of his mother, like he is being so misunderstood to the point that it is rather sad, because he was only respecting Wu Ma wish and let her tell her son when she's ready...

Lastly what you said at the end, people view the dillemma differently whether they associate with Wu Ma or WSW, just re-emphasised my point that no one will ever try to associate this to Chi Cheng's dillemma or his pov which is sad.... he has his dillemma too and he is also human, but no matter what, to them no one will try to see this from Chi Cheng's pov(referring to those people who don't in particular, if you do, then I am not directing at you)

When I said that, I didnt meant that I don't see that other have different opinions and see things differently but more so, they will not try to see this from Chi Cheng's pov and will only always see the bad and focus on the bad and never the good from Chi Cheng.. I guess you have not been online much to see those comments from those people...

So are you saying that the fact that Wu Ma made Chi Cheng promise to not tell WSW was because she was being a loving mother, and you understood her perspective when she was the one who is depriving Wu Suo Wei from knowing the truth because she made Chi Cheng promise her to not tell Wei Wei yet.

The one who didn't want Wu Suo Wei to know was the mother, not Chi Cheng.

As you can see that Chi Cheng wanted to tell Wu Suo Wei when he wanted to clear up that "client" misunderstanding, but in the end he didn't because it was his way of respecting that was her wish... I actually see Chi Cheng is a victim here tbh.

I still think because of what she made him promise to not tell Wei Wei, then this is now her responsibility to let Wei Wei know, because Chi Cheng can't, this is not about him choosing his mother in law over WSW... This is him respecting it was her request and her wish.... Put it in this light, if you have something that you don't want to tell your family member yet and you told that person to not tell, will you be happy for that person to break the promise to you and go tell the other person? Because that person broke your trust and the promise, and revealed it to your family member when you are not ready to tell that person yet.. so this is in a similar situation here, if Wu Ma didnt make Chi Cheng promise to not tell WSW then yes, Chi Cheng should tell him and it will be wrong for him to keep this a secret from WSW, BUT considering it was her that put them in this situation, this is now her responsibility to tell WSW herself.

I am only replying to share my feelings, I understand not everyone felt the same since some even was okay about it and ship them as a threesome....

Personally for me, despite I know that Chi Cheng and Wang Shuo did it in the past, I don't need to see it or know the details because I don't want to see them kissing. I felt repulse and disgusted by it(because I dont like that pair). I prefer they kept the past as their past without seeing them kiss, because I don't enjoy seeing one side to my fav couple kissing someone else.. this is why I don't read the novel because the novel is more messed up in this area from what I know, to a sense of some unfaithfulness in a ambiguous level..

When WSW was watching it(obviously this was plotted by Wang Shuo), I felt like he is forcing me to watch it. I honestly wanted to pressed it fast, but if I did, I will lose context to the story, so I told myself I had to endure it to understand the story as a whole, so that's what I did, I endured it, but didnt like what I saw.

I find that video disgusting because it is so messed up in a very unhealthy way. Their past felt like a threesome, and I hated that the writer have CC kissed GCY. I know this happened in the novel, but it was something I wish was NOT included in the drama, and when it happened, it really did ruined how I feel about them in a purely platonic way. The only way I can make myself feel better was that they were both drunk and not sobre and was not thinking straight.

To be honest, I felt it is rather ironic because despite I hated the video clip, but what was revealed had showed me something of their past, where I felt that while Chi Cheng liked Wang Shuo in the past, but I don't think he had ever developed into loving him.... since if he did, the person he would have answered when WS asked who is his most important person would be him, not GCY. If CC did "love" WS in the past, then I don't think just by what WS said, he would kiss GCY because he wouldn't have the heart to do that to him.

I mean, imagine in the present time, if WSW asked CC to do what WS asked him to do in the past, CC will think WSW is crazy to think that way, and as you can see it was like a parallel in ep 16 where WSW asked CC why he doesn't get together with GCY since they seem to be a better match when compared to him and WS, and this shocked CC because he never actually think WSW would say something like that (and when he said it, his reaction was more leaning towards 'why tf would you think I will choose GCY over you?' and then he punishes him through sex again.

So in the end, I have mixed feelings for that video. I definitely felt disgusted seeing CC kissing WS and then GCY, its like their past relationship between the three of them is so messed up in a very unhealthy way... At the same time, I did learned something from that video revealing their past where it shows how their relationship was like and after watching it, I really don't think CC love WS that much, at least it was never to the same level as how I see he felt for WSW.

If WSW asked Chi Cheng the same question as what WS asked him back then, I do think CC answer would be WSW as his most important person, because he is and he is someone he cannot live without.

So my verdict of that video clip is mixed feelings, I hate seeing the kisses because I felt disgusted by it whether it is with WS or GCY, this is something I can do without those details..... I am not a multi shipper if I come to loving a pairing (ChiWei) to this extent, so I didnt like seeing that video where past CC kiss WS and then GCY... I felt disgusted because that is so messed up imo. But at the same time, I did learn something as a way of comparison to see how much CC has changed for the better now after he fell in love with WSW.

I won't label CC is a cheater because that was HIS PAST. He cannot change his past, since that is who he was. But he can work on his present and developments into a better person and he is on the right path, he just need to find resolve to that incident that had been holding him back deep down, since he needed that closure and truth from back then before he can finally move forward with WSW completely.

I will just say the fact that you said "chi cheng was kinda cheating", I lost interest in reading your comment because it feels like, you either did not wartched it properly or we are not watching the same drama especially when Chi Cheng has shown me nothing but ignoring his ex, I don't know what more he have to do to actually show you that his feelings for his ex is no longer there. He even literally said this and reassured WSW again in ep 16... If WSW misunderstood and got the wrong ideas, this is on Wang Shuo.

When WSW was insecured about his feelings, Chi Cheng had reassured him again, that it is not Wang Shuo thathe cared about. I don't know how many times he needs to say for people to understand... I felt like its unfair to judge Chi Cheng harshly to the point they villainize him. If people can understand someone like Wang Shuo and what he is going through, why can't people be fair to Chi Cheng and see things from his pov and what he is going through?

No one is perfect, even Wei Wei had his faults in this when he is being overly comfortable with WZ, which (no doubt) have hurted Chi Cheng, let alone, he knows how Chi Cheng would feel when he is texting WZ yet he purposely still did it, and he did it on purpose too, which makes their misunderstanding worse.

So at the end of the day, what I really wanted to say is it is fine to like who you like because you're entitled to your preferences, but please stop trying to blame everything on Chi Cheng because it is very annoying. I also really love that kiss in ep 11. It was so raw and passionate. I can feel their feelings and how they long /misses each other for the time they were apart. That kiss speaks volume when they cling to each other like that. They really poured all their feelings into it and not to mention how ZY(WSW) bit him like that ahaha.

Sometime it is these kiss scenes without that special lightly or editing that makes it so much more powerful for me.
