I love Tantai Jin!!! And I feel sorry for him!! ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ Especially when he thought that finally someone who cares for him and then she goes and say that.... 💔💔💔 That gotta hurt him a lot... And push him further down that path
me too more like the 1st ending. it make more sense with the whole story & for once they made the woman do the…
The first ending makes sense because the ML (at the end) looking for the FL again ties in similar to the novel. They wasted one final episode to do an alternate ending... when they could have used the final episode to wrap up the story (loose ends) from the first ending showing Luo Ge finding Liu Shao again (after some time-skip) or something....
I also don't have any problems with Chao Yue acting on Chong Zi character portrayal from beginning to the end…
This is probably why they always say or use the excuse "the main pairing doesn't have chemistry", which is why I don't take those comments seriously anymore since (1) chemistry is subjective and (2) for me, the main pairing already got chemistry in their first life. At least I personally really love their chemistry and interactions.
You should always give a drama a try and never 100% trust in the reviews since everyone is different.
You may like something but others don't. Some high rated dramas may not be that good as well since I've watched a few high rated dramas but didn't like it as much as those people.
In the end of the day, review and ratings is just a number and shows how they feel about a drama..
You can use the review as a guide but never let it put you off in giving a drama or story a try.
On the contrary for me I find low ratings drama to be interesting at times and it just makes me curious to check out why it is THAT bad and when I watched it , it's NOT as bad as some people make it out to be.
Simply put, everyone love and acceptance and how they interpret a drama and their subtleties is all different.
For me, I personally love this drama, the main leads and CP and I don't regret watching it.
I also don't have any problems with Chao Yue acting on Chong Zi character portrayal from beginning to the end…
This is why I hardly go to MDL anymore because all I see are the same type of comments . I find there are other sites with more reasonable fans and people who can enjoy this drama. Albeit there are those who still may not like it but not as toxic as MDL from what I've seen every time I come here
So your comments really brings a smile to my face, at least it shows me there are people in here who still enjoys the drama and love it the same as I do.
I love LAR too but I agree that if I have to choose between the two FL I prefer and like Chongzi in the drama better. At least I was never annoyed with her character and although those angst is painful when that time comes due to the misunderstanding but Yin Fan IN THE DRAMA have shown me more than multiple times he cares and believes in Chongzi which is what I love about his character portrayal and this pairing dynamics. I love it every time when Yin Fan shows me he will go up against those immortal sects to protect Chongzi.
So I really love how the main pairing is portrayed in the drama. To me it's a healthy ship, so those who said they aren't in the drama, I never understand them on my end.
For me this drama, like the name implies, is all about Chong Zi and her relationship with Yin Fan. I looooooooved…
I also don't have any problems with Chao Yue acting on Chong Zi character portrayal from beginning to the end so I never really understand those criticism since I cannot relate to them.
For me personally I love the chemistry between Jeremy and Chao Yue in their characters as Yin Fan and Chongzi. They make the pairing loveable and enjoyable to me.
This is definitely listed down as my favourite drama of the year and I will definitely recommend this to my friends when I get the chance. Those who just listen to criticism and give up on this drama early is missing out IMO.
Got to say after reading the novel to "Chong Zi", I can firmly say I am glad they changed it and made Luo Yin Fan a much better character in the drama(Journey of Chongzi).
One of the (many) things I love about Drama Luo Yin Fan is that he is not afraid to admit his love for Chongzi and he's not a shame to love her despite its a master and disciple relationship, I always loved that about him to be honest, another thing I love about Drama Luo Yin Fan is that he believed in Chongzi on his end and will do his best to save her even if it meant going against the other immortal sects and his ShiXiong.
In the novel, Luo Yin Fan, stubbornness to admit his love for Chongzi was kinda annoying for me. I finally understand what other people was saying after they read the novel and how they feel about Novel Luo Yin Fan. Oh and I feel sorry for Chongzi as well. Some of the things Yin Fan did to her in the novel, I cannot believe he actually did it 😳
Novel ending is nice and their scenes is sweet but I felt like that is delayed and way overdue for them to come to that point.
For me, as much as the drama is not enjoyable to some people but I personally love the Drama, and I will always appreciate it for these changes in a positive light and it is also through the drama that I appreciate Luo Yin Fan and the Main Pairing (Luo Yin Fan and Chongzi) love and relationship.
It is also through this drama I came to appreciate Jeremy in his character as Luo Yin Fan as well.
Yeah this drama may not be for everyone but for me, despite the pros and cons between the Novel and Drama, for me personally I enjoyed the drama over the novel on my end(looking at the overall).
After reading the Novel, I don't hate Novel Yin Fan, just to be clear, but I can't say I am a fan of him in the novel either. But for Drama wise, I appreciate the change in how his character is portrayed and written and I will always be a fan to DRAMA Yin Fan in The Journey of Chongzi.
Not saying this to hate the Novel, just expressing an opinion after I just finished the novel. While we feel differently, but I do still respect those who loves the Novel better though.
Someone already asked this so I will reply to it here again for your convenience: Wang Yue *SPOILERS* is the last…
Hi, thanks for your comment. There's a way you can copy the link of the comment reference if you want just by clicking into the 3 dot line next to the gift icon and click on share.
I also posted the connection between the two stories (TJOC and SOTM) in my review as well. So those who read my review in the future will know (as the overall).
P.S. I'm glad my comment can assist with your query there.
Wang Yue doesn't love Chong Zi romantically if that's what you're asking because he did said that in the drama…
Their reasonings for not liking the main characters Yin Fan and Chongzi and the main pairing Yin Fan and Chongzi in the drama will never make sense to me...
I am just sad that there are people who looks at ratings and decide to not give this drama a chance
For me this drama don't deserve a rating under 5 but how I feel as a minority in here can't change anyone's opinions and I find their comments to keep telling others who asked if this drama is worth watching to not watch it really annoys me....
In the end they don't like the main pairing one of the few reasons could be age gap and it's a master and disciple relationship which is lame since we are looking at xianxia and immortality where their physical appearance remains youthful.
Personally for me I am happy that both Yin Fan and Chongzi got their happy ending!
Apparently from what I know MDL is filled with quite toxic people so I have to keep reminding myself to ignore those people , I rather join a group of fans who loves this drama as much as I do
Wang Yue doesn't love Chong Zi romantically if that's what you're asking because he did said that in the drama…
I know there are people who ships them for the 'crack' side of things, but I don't see them romantically related/involve with each other. Wang Yue and Chong Zi was about to "kiss" is only for show, it's not because they love each other.
That "Wedding" was not romantic to me since I know they both don't have romantic feelings for each other. It only aim to serve as a plot to show Yin Fan feelings towards Chong Zi, how he came and took her away. I won't spoil what happen too much, in case you decide to watch it, for me, I really love the scenes after Yin Fan took Chong Zi away since it really shows me how much he's afraid of losing her (I find that very romantic on my end).
The thing is, Wang Yue and Chong Zi never consummated their wedding, so their wedding was never officially finished in my eyes.
Anyways, for me, I only ship Chong Zi with Luo Yin Fan and as for Wang Yue, he got his own spinoff in the sequel Novel call "Flying to the Moon", and I ship him (Yue) with Novel Liu Shao, because I've came to really love their relationship in the novel.
Excuse me, can you explain to me what is the relationship between Chong Zi and Wang Yue? Does he like her or not?…
Wang Yue doesn't love Chong Zi romantically if that's what you're asking because he did said that in the drama he no longer hold onto those feelings on his end.
His main concern and focus is his "end goal plan" and Chong Zi (to him) is someone who can accomplish that because Wang Yue said he need an external help which he can't do on his end.
Also Chong Zi being the daughter to Ni Lun, which is the previous demon king can accomplish that, that's why Wang Yue is interested in Chong Zi.
Wang Yue doesn't hate her, but he's just a "Grey" character that will do anything to accomplish this end goal. I don't see Wang Yue is evil although his means to achieving the end goal can come at the sacrifices of others
In the NOVEL to "Chong Zi", someone have revealed that Wang Yue was the one who saved both Chong Zi and Yin Fan, so he's NOT heartless. Maybe he's more typically labelled into the "Anti Hero" category.
The marriage in the drama (Journey of Chong Zi) is not because of love, it's more like an exchange where they can both benefit from each other so I personally don't see Wang Yue is part of Chong Zi harem because unlike the other male characters who loves Chong Zi romantically, Wang Yue doesn't. He's indifferent when it comes to romance, since he said he doesn't hold such feelings anymore.
In his spinoff NOVEL "Flying to the Moon", he is the main protagonist (Male Lead) that's gets paired with NOVEL Liu Shao (which is the Female Lead), it really took him a while and a long time to open his heart to her though(romantically speaking), so there's that journey, that he went through in his own spinoff novel. In that Novel, he introduced himself as "Yue" to Little Liu Shao.
If you have watched Song of the Moon DRAMA, then don't take that as a faithful adaptation to the Novel , because the story direction and character portrayal was changed in the DRAMA (Song of the Moon).
Personally I love Journey of Chongzi better than Song of the Moon in the overall is because even when I love Drama Luo Ge x Liu Shao pairing equally as much as I love Yin Fan and Chong Zi, I just felt that in the overall The Journey of Chongzi made that journey worth it in the end because to me ending to a drama is very important... What I couldn't get in that satisfying feeling of the ending in Song of the Moon, I got in Journey of Chongzi instead in episode 41.
My review is not intended to hate Drama Song of the Moon because I still love Song of the Moon on my end but I don't and can't take that as a faithful adaptation to its novel Flying to the Moon, so I can only take Song of the Moon as an alternate drama version only.
Someone already asked this so I will reply to it here again for your convenience: Wang Yue *SPOILERS* is the last…
Yeah the Portrayal of "Yue"(God of Moon) in the Novel is not the same as the one in the Drama Song of the Moon.
In the Novel, "Yue" is a "Grey" character, more like an Anti hero.
Drama God of Moon is two versions, the good one and the "Hei Yue"(Dark God of Moon) after the evil spirits took control of his body.
As long as you don't take Song of the Moon as the Novel version than you should be good.
I see that "Wang Yue" portrayal is closer to his novel version (in Flying to the Moon) than what Song of the Moon portrayed him as.
I know when it comes to adaptation to the novel there will be changes, some for the better, some aren't but don't call it adaptation from the novel if they don't even stay faithful to the character portrayal or the story direction. It's just sad for novel fans.
I know I may sound like I hate the drama Song of the Moon, but I am not really if I take the drama as an alternate setting not related to the novel but it's just sad that some of my favourite scenes never got adapted into the drama :(
Someone already asked this so I will reply to it here again for your convenience: Wang Yue *SPOILERS* is the last…
In Song of the Moon(Drama), Luo Ge, Lu Li and God of Moon is the same person. God of Moon no longer exist because he died back then when YaoLing(God of Sun) killed him because God of Moon body was being possessed by the Evil Spirits. When she killed him(God of Moon), she split his heart into two. One half of his heart that contain the good and pure energy is reborn into Luo Ge. In Song of the Moon, Luo Ge is the the other "Half Heart" to God of Moon that was reborn on the good side. The other half heart which has the evil spirits was sealed inside the Four seasons monument tablet.
So simply put, don't take Song of the Moon to be the same as the Novel(Flying to the Moon), because in the drama, the character Portrayal and Story direction completely changed. Song of the Moon isn't a faithful adaptation to its Novel.
The Novel (Flying to the Moon) where "Wang Yue(Yue for short)", is the ML is alive all this time, so he's NOT dead. He is also God of Moon from back then but he was banished from the God Realm. God Realm no longer exists now so "Yue" is the last surviving God from the God realm.
Novel Yue is NOT related to Novel Luo Ge. They are different characters.
Novel Luo Ge is the descendent to Luo Yin Fan and Chong Zi from their father side a few generations later.
So the story direction in the SOTM drama is not what happened in the Novel.
Someone already asked this so I will reply to it here again for your convenience: Wang Yue *SPOILERS* is the last…
I didn't read "Chong Zi" novel up to that part to know his name, but I think it's "Wang Yue" like in the drama, but in his spinoff novel (Flying to the Moon) where he's the male lead paired with Liu Shao, he introduce his name to her as "Yue"
You may like something but others don't. Some high rated dramas may not be that good as well since I've watched a few high rated dramas but didn't like it as much as those people.

Everyone is different when it comes to loving something.
For me personally I enjoyed and love this drama despite others negativity towards it.
Just give it a go before deciding
If you do end up watching it then remember to check out episode 41 for your happy ending.

I didn't watch Oath of Love since it didn't look appealing to me. But I can see some people likes it so everyone is different.
